A Body To The Pile
A Body To The Pile
I wrote this years ago, and it\'s not written from my perspective. Meaning the lyrics don\'t refer to me (I can\'t stand poems like that... sorry. It just seems vain to me), it\'s taking the point of veiw of the \"character\". And it\'s a song, not a poem, by the way. The meaning is pretty clear to me, but that\'s easy to say considering I wrote it, but I\'ll leave it up to your interpretation :)
Disclamer: I own it, don\'t reproduce without written permission (as if you\'d want to. heh.), blar blar...
A Body To The Pile
the bodies of the city are like a whirlwind
taking the street by storm
an ugly array of humanity
the bodies of the out lying areas
are like a disease
absolute in their ways
these days will never change
It\'s one more body to the pile
and there is no way you\'re escaping
this fate we all share
It\'s something we all face
if you can fathom you\'re all ready there
gone before your time
and no one can care
the people stop and stare
the people walk on by
the people are so sick
I wish for them all to die
the people can ignore
the people can forget
the people can\'t avoid
the fate that we all get
It\'s one more body to the pile
and there is no way your escaping
cause we all walk this sad mile;
this fate that we all share
It\'s something we all face
if you can fathom you\'re all ready there
gone before your time
and no one can really care
and no one cares
