Secrets Hidden Beneath

Bullets pierced the night sky, as the rain fell on her golden hair that shown in the moonlight. Her eyes were as blue as the wispering waves on a warm summers day, and they glimmered against the slippery roof top. The black leather jumpsuit that curved to her body helped her blend in with the dark lurking shadows. She crouched against the wall, and then started to slowly crawl twards him. He looked at her with rock hard cold eyes, and pulled the trigger. With a loud bang a faceless man fell to the ground. Suddenly gun shots echoed through their fear stricken hearts, and without thinking Kicanea stood up in the way of each passing shot of death. Before she could even take three steps a bullet struck her in the back, leaving her perilized, or it seemed that she was just stuck in time. Her eyes slowly closed, as her body cut through the cool black air like a knife. Only silence remained. Sioke ran like lightning to her, and when he picked her up a single tear rolled down her cheek resembleing the flow of an ageless river. Then she whispered a few words, and then fell limp. The small beads of rain water, and the drops of blood ran together through the shaken hands that still rested on her pale face. Quietly he asked himself why. The rain silently dripped from each remaining star in the sky, that soon had fadded into the mornings light. He stood up and wiped the tears from his eyes, then looked at her. She seemed so peacefull, but something had caugt Sioke\'s eye. It was her necklace! The silver chain and the golden heart-shaped locket dangling from it were glowing so brightly in the strings of moonlight. He gripped the chain tightly in his hand and gave it a quick yank. Sioke pried the locket open and inside he found the words Its Just A Dream inscripted into the gold, and a picture of her by its side. He stuffed the necklace into his pant pocket and swore that he would find her killer. He kneeled down by her side and carefully picked her up, and walked from the roof, down six flights of stairs, and placed her in the chilled water as he saw her sink to the frozen bottom. Sioke carefully placed snow white lillies and blood red roses on the smooth river top and then watched, as they slowly disappeared into blackness. A single tear glistened in the break of dawn as it made its way down on Sioke\'s cheek. Then he sorrowfully walked away.

Chapter 2

Burning flames of revenge bounced about in Sioke\'s head. He thought about what Kicanea\'s last words were as he truddged along the endless desert road. Time seemed to stop in side his empty heart, untill he came apon a sign that read Paradise. Dirt clouds kicked up around Sioke\'s feet as he entered. Pausing for a moment to take a look of the happy little town that sit before him, only made the bitterness grow. He continued on untill he reached a small house that seemed to stand out amung all the rest. Its fadded yellow paint peeled easly as Sioke ran his heart broken fingers over it. He walked around to the back of the building where he found something that would change his life forever, a young woman. She started to shake. As she dropped down to her knees, she began to beg Sioke for mercey. Confused about what was happening he told her that he was not going to harm her. She stood up and when her face met his, he froze. She looked exactly like her! She looked like Kicanea! Her eyes the same blue, her hair the same gold, and her face the same pale white. Sioke asked how old she was and responded with an answer of 17. She goes by the name of Koyamie. Her entire family was killed by three gunmen earlier that day, while she was at a friends house. Sioke told her his name and how she reminded him of someone he once loved. Shocked by having a total stranger tell her she looked like his first love made her uneasy, but it seemed that they had somehow had a conection. He asked Koyamie if she knew anyone that went by the name of Kicanea, and her response was that she had no memory from her past. It was like she was born again into another life, and she had no idea of the events of her previous one. Sioke then thought maybe it was the same men who had gone and sloughtered Kicanea that cold and rainy night. He then asked Koyamie if she would like to join him on his quest to avenge Kicanea. She now felt like she could trust him knowing that she was not the only one who had lost someone dear. She then gave a quick nod to accept the offer. As the two walked out of the town once called Parsdise, Koyamie paused and turned back as if to say goodbye to her home. The dying red sun gazed down on their confused hearts, and soon a copper-grey sky held a dull orange moon cradled just above the blue mountain tops in plain veiw. Their shaddows drifted off into the distance while the cool night air russtled the leaves on the few trees that stood.
