Learning to Say Goodbye
LEARNING TO SAY GOODBYE
Screams of pain that wounds my soul
You I have lost and now I know
You can never see what you have
Until it is lost and you have
*
To learn to say goodbye
To let your soul on angel wings fly
To leave a place so full of pain
To learn to live and love again.
*
Into this fear-filled night I tread,
With angel tears upon my feet.
The wind ripples the lake into your face,
And I wish we could again meet.
*
To learn to say goodbye
To sing an angel lullabye,
To leave a place so full of pain,
To learn to live and love again.
*
From heaven angels chant a poem of parting,
Of leaving this world, vastly thwarting,
Of becoming one with the earth and sky,
Of having faith that when you die,
*
You learn to say goodbye
And let your soul on angel wings fly,
Leaving a place so full of pain,
Learning to live and love again.
Look, do you really think I could capture such loss? For fucking god\'s sakes, I\'m only 18!! If you\'re 18, you don\'t usually experience true loss of a true love on a daily basis.
