A different Person
Have you ever wondered what really is in the Human brain? well, one boy is about to find out. and the results, he will soon learn is just evil.
It was a pretty June day, it wasn't too hot, it was just about right. Jack, who was 16 decided not to play football with his friends but just wanted to hang out alone playing video games. Jack's parents, Jacob and Diana were successful, Jacob was a big shot lawyer who worked for a big law firm, Diana was a Prof. at the local university. Jack's two older brothers, John and Adam were star football, baseball, basketball, soccer, water polo, golf, tennis, track players. While Jack was a freshman, Adam was a Junior and John had started college. Now, John in his last year of college, Adam a sophomore and Jack now a junior. So just about everybody knew Jack because of his brothers. Jack had a girlfriend, who everybody thought was just perfect and who loved Jack very much. Jack's life was basically perfect. As Jack sat there, playing a fighting game on his Play Station 2, he started thinking. "Why can't my life just be normal? Why can't my parents just fight all the time and just divorce, like many of his friend's parents had? Why can't my brothers just drunk and get high? Why can't my girlfriend just be normal and get mad over something stupid? What did i do to deserve this?" Jack asked himself. Most people would freak out if they answered their own questions, and something in Jack's brain answered him.
"I can make you have a normal life, all you have to do is let me out." said the voice. As Jack looked around his room, he saw that he was the only one in the room.
"Who said that?" Jack asked.
"I did." said the voice.
"Where are you? Who are you?" Jack asked, still looking around.
"I am you. I'm inside your brain." said the voice.
"How can you help me?" Jack asked.
"I can't tell you, i would have to show you, Jack." said the voice.
"How exactly do i let you out?" asked Jack.
"Do you want me to show you?" asked the voice.
"yeah i do." Jack said.
With that being say, Jack let a out a sharp scream. He end up falling asleep and awoke to the sound of his mother knocking on his door.
"Jack? supper is ready." said his mother.
"okie. thanks." he said. Getting up, he looked in the mirror, what he saw was quite alerting. His eyes were brown, everybody in his family had blue. He wasn't sure how that happen, so he just decided to forget it. Going down the stairs, he joined his family at the table. His mother always wanted everybody to talk about their day, so they did, no matter what. John and Adam had already started about their day at the college. His father was reading the stocks, his mother was listening to her sons conversation. Only his mother seem to noticed that Jack had just sat down at the table.
"Jack? everything ok?" his mother asked.
"Of course, Mother, why wouldn't it?" Jack replied.
"your voice seems different today." his father said without looking up from the paper.
"Does it?" Jack asked.
"It seems cold, chilly." his mother said.
"hmm... sounds the same to me." Jack said, looking at the peas and the steak.
"What did you do today, Jack?" his mother asked.
"Nothing really. Matt and I just went swimming and he left to play football with some other friends and i didn't really want to so i came home and just read a few books." Jack said.
"That's nice. Lisa didn't come over?" his mother asked.
"No, she's at her grandparents' for a week." Jack said.
"I bet you'll miss her." his mother said.
"Yeah, but the little space is nice." Jack said, looking at his plate.
"I'm sure, it will be nice to spend quality time together." his mother said.
"We do spend quality time together, mother, everynight." Adam said.
"I know, but just doesn't seem like enough time." his mother said.
"Your mother is right. It just doesn't." his father said.
"We are kinda busy with practices." John said.
"never on the weekend." his father said.
"True....." John said.
"anybody want some ice cream?" his mother asked.
"I'm good." Jack said.
"Just leave your plate, i will put it in the sink." his mother said.
"No, it's okie, i can do." Jack said, getting up.
"Jack, dear, really it's okie." his mother said, getting up.
"Mother, really it's fine." Jack said, as he walked towards the kitchen.
"Let your mother do it." said his father.
"I want too." Jack said as he entered the kitchen.
"Jack, give me the plate." his mother said, trying to take the plate.
"It's okie, mother, really." Jack said.
"Jack.... just give me the plate." his mother said, putting a hand on the plate.
"Whatever." Jack said, letting go of the plate.
As the plate fall to the ground, his mother screamed and Jack just walked to his room.
"What's going on with me? I normally would never have done something like that...." Jack thought to himself as he closed his room.
"You let me out, i'm going to make your life normal like you want." said the voice.
"What did you do to my eyes???" Jack asked the voice.
"You're different now. Come, watch some tv, you will feel better." said the voice.
Jack obeyed like he was in a trance. His family went to bed at their normal time which was 9:30. His father and mother had to be at work by 6:30am to get ready for the day, his mother did summer school so those who need help so they wouldn't fail. His brothers had to be at their summer job at 8am to get money for things they wanted, so Jack was basically gonna be alone in the house, which was how he liked it, he could sleep all day and nobody would yell at him. The family dog always slept in Jack's room, they were the best of friends, the dog was a stray, one day Jack was walking home from school and the dog followed him and never left. By the time, Jack got out of the trance, he looked at the clock and saw that it was midnight. He always went to bed at 9:30, so not to upset his parents, who were very strict, but now he didn't seem to care. He decided to go to the garage and get some soda, his mother didn't like soda, so they had a few cases when they had guests or parties, but other than that, the family didn't drink any. He knew he would be grounded if his parents saw soda cans in his room, but he didn't seem to care at all, it was like letting that voice free he didn't care about anything anymore, his family, his girlfriend, his life, nothing. He felt free, normal, like he could actually be happy. Taking about two cases of soda, he walked back to his room. He figured he would just hide it under his bed and nobody would ever noticed, since his bed kinda low to the ground.
"This is strange, i'm not even tired..." Jack said to himself.
"You're being free, most teens your age are still awake, playing video games, watching tv, on the computer, or out driving around." said the voice.
"Really? wow, i never knew that." Jack said to himself.
Jack looked at the clock and saw it was now 9:00 in the morning. He haven't been to sleep, he didn't even remember his eyes closely. He thought he was sick. But he wasn't sure.
