A Picture
A/N: Josh gave me a picture of himself when he was little. His dad died when he was 2 1/2, and this pic has him, his mom, and his dad. The poem explained what happened, a bit. I\'m keeping it forever, if he lets me.
~A Picture~
You gave me a picture today
I have none of my own
And I thought I\'d be taking some of you away.
But you told me to keep it
Said it was okay
You gave me a piece of yourself today.
I\'ll paint you a picture
Of a brighter day
A picture to replace
The one I took away.
One of me
And one of you
A reminder of all the great things that we\'ll do
And in return I give you
A promise that\'s true
Just three little words:
I love you.
