Half my strength to bind you,
Half my love and all I hold,
To in the darkness find you.
Half my blood to heal your wounds,
Half my wisdom to guide you,
Half my sight to pierce the night,
And break the chains that bind you.
Half my life, I freely give,
Half a chance for you to live,
Half myself to make you whole,
And to protect you from the cold.
Half my laughter to make you glad,
Half my sorrow to make you sad,
All a family you are to me,
And half a soul is broken free.
