Lonely

I thought I could do it all.
Be the nice one,
the sweet one,
the one everybody loves.
But all I did was crash and burn.

I thought I was the master of my destiny.
I fooled myself into believing I was in control.
But all I am is a puppet on strings,
a helpess rider in a whirlwind of fate.

I told myself that I was strong enough
to take the world on my shoulders.
I was a fool,
a joker,
an idiot.

I am everything.
I am nothing.
I am darkness.
I am light.
I am order.
I am chaos.
I am all,
and I am none.
I AM who I AM.
I am me.

I am broken and whole.
I am sane and insane.
I am near and far.
I am here and there.
I am complete and shattered.

All my life
I was the strong one,
the nice one,
the sweet one,
the one who was there for everyone else.
But what about me?
Who will be there for me,
when I need it?

I am alone.
