Shadow's Light
Shadows' Light
Written 18 Oct '04 Midnight.
When Darkness slinks into view
And seduces my weak flesh to succumb,
It is so much easier to let go
Reality drifts into a faraway hum.
Let Him drink and glut upon
My dreams, hopes, everything
That is light and airy that illuminates my Way.
He spills His drink deliberately,
Tantalising
Warmth of the liquids bathe me
Tingling the skin as it flows.
Pain surfaces from beneath the heart..
Awaken the reasons buried so long ago.
And I know, I know.
I am not like Him;
I don't predate on the dreams of others
To shrug off the cold.
But, I am His other.
His mother; His nurturing fount.
I am the Light that yearns for Shadows
to hold.
