Those who have died,
And those long dead.
Little crayons color little red hearts
On the tiny cards for when the crying starts.
It\'s Valentine\'s Day.
A day when Death plays
And all chance love
Has faded away.
A day to love
A day to hate
A day when lovers meet their fate.
To live or die,
To laugh or cry.
The lucky few,
The proud and strong,
Have overcome Love\'s mournful song.
To learn the truth is nothing new,
And this is truth I give to you:
The color of love is always red.
Red from the broken hearts that bled,
Tattered souls of those who\'ve died,
And the forsaken futures of those soon dead.
