A little boy cries.
His big blue eyes
Are full of tears
Of worry and pain
Built through the years.
Don’t you worry
And don’t you cry
Because I’ll forever be here
Right by your side.
The day that I die
I know you’ll cry.
But for now, my love,
I’m here by your side.
A joy and a comfort
Of love and no lies.
My heart will be right here
Always right by your side.
I know one You You’ll go away
Into that big place up in the sky.
But until then
The only tears that I cry
Are from the joy of just knowing
You’re here by my side
The first one who loved me
The first one who cared
The first one who stayed here
All the times I was scared.
You were always here for me
Your courage was tried.
And for that faith I’ll be here
Always right by your side.
