One Wild Weekend
This is one of my first fics that hasn’t been Harry Potter related, these characters are all original characters. And the PWP and lemons come up in later chapters. I like a bit of a plot to begin with. (I know that defeats the whole porn without plot thing, but it really does come later).
One Wild Weekend
Cheyenne looked at the picture that was sitting atop her desk and grinned. It was taken on the day her best friend, Allison, graduated nursing school, which was six months ago and the last time that she’d seen her. She smiled. Cheyenne had her arm around Allison and on Allison’s other side was her boyfriend Wyatt, and next to Wyatt, grinning devilishly at Cheyenne, was Devon, Wyatt’s best friend. Cheyenne remembered that night with a grin. She was only 20 at the time, and after the graduation, Allison had a party at a bar, which unfortunately, Cheyenne, at the time, wasn’t able to go to. She remembered hugging her best friend and heading back home, to make it in time for her class the next morning. Now, however, Cheyenne was 21 and legal, and was on her way to Lincoln to visit Allison and Wyatt for a full week.
She glanced around her apartment and made sure she had everything, including the paper that had Devon and Allison’s new address written on it. She headed out to her car and hopped in. She glanced down at her CD case, trying to decide which one to put in the stereo. She grinned and popped Big and Rich in the CD player and turned it to track 9. Suddenly Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy came blaring out as she hit the road on her way to Lincoln.
She had been jamming out to Big and Rich for almost an hour when her cell phone rang. She looked down at it and saw that it was Allison.
“Hello?” She answered.
“Hey hun, could you do us a HUGE favor??” Allison asked.
“Umm… what?” Cheyenne asked, apprehensive.
“On your way into town could you stop by and pick up Devon?? His car broke down and Wyatt has to work late.” Allison asked.
“Sure, but it’ll be about an hour or so before I get into town.”
“Oh that’s fine. He’s going to come stay the weekend with us while his apartment is fumigated.”
“Okay. I’ll see you in a bit then.”
“Later sweetheart.”
Cheyenne pushed the end button on her phone and butterflies immediately started flittering around her stomach. She had to go pick up Devon… the guy that had the featuring role in her dreams for the past six months. And then she had to ride in her car with him on the way to Wyatt and Allison’s house, ALONE. She squirmed in her seat.
She remembered back to when she met him at Allison’s graduation. He kept grinning at her, and watching her. Allison had sensed that he liked her and had told her this, but she didn’t believe her. But, however, as she looked back at the picture from that day, she could see the twinkle in his eye as he looked at her. She shook her head and popped another CD into the player and continued on her way.
It wasn’t long before she realized that she didn’t know where Devon lived. She tried calling Allison, but was frustrated when the line was busy. She searched through her phone book on her phone, looking for Allison’s cell number when she saw Devon’s number in there, which Allison had given to her back when they were staying at his house. She frowned. If she couldn’t get a hold of Allison she could always call Devon. She tried Allison’s cell phone, and to no avail, it was turned off. She sighed and took a deep breath and pressed on Devon’s number in her cell phone. She literally held her breath as it dialed his number and it rang. She secretly hoped that he wouldn’t answer, or wasn’t home, but she heard his baritone voice answer the phone.
“Hello?”
“Devon, this is Cheyenne. Allison called and asked me to pick you up.”
“Hey there. How are you?”
“I’m fine. She forgot to give me your address though and I don’t know where I’m supposed to go to pick you up.”
He chuckled. “I’m at the corner of Chesapeake and 7th. A big yellow apartment building. You can’t miss it.”
“Thanks. I should be there in about fifteen minutes or so.”
“Alrighty. I’ll be watching for ya. Still have that pimpin’ red Cavalier?”
Cheyenne could feel herself grinning at his description of her car. “Yup.”
“Okay, see ya then.”
As she hung up her phone, she could feel the butterflies start fluttering again. His voice was just as sexy as she remembered it. In what seemed at no time at all she found herself parked outside Devon’s apartment. She was hoping that he really was watching and that she didn’t have to get out of her car to go get him.
She waited a few minutes and was just about to get out of her car when she saw his tall, slender figure coming out of the door. He was dressed in a dark pair of blue jeans that weren’t his usual baggy style, but a pair that actually fit him. When he turned around to shut the door, she thought she was going to faint as she realized that he had the most perfect butt she had ever seen. She had to stop herself from drooling. She noticed that he was wearing a navy sweatshirt and a baseball cap with the Huskers logo on ite kne knew he was a big Huskers fan and sighed. That was something that she definitely didn’t have in common with him. She leaned over to unlock the passenger door as he made his way down the sidewalk to her car.
He gave her a quick grin as he opened up the door and slid inside, with his small gym bag. “How’s it goin?”
Cheyenne smiled. “Alright I guess. Ready for my ‘vacation’.”
Devon smiled as he shut the door and they took off. Cheyenne looked and found the piece of paper with the directions to Allison and Wyatt’s house on it.
“You haven’t been to their new place yet?” Devon asked.
“No, things have just been too hectic for me lately that I haven’t had a chance to make it up here to see them.”
“Well it’s really easy to get there… “, he said, then explained to her how to get to their destination.
Cheyenne had to admit that Devon’s directions were much easier to follow than the ones Allison had given her. She looked at the written directions again and realized that if she would’ve taken the directions she’d been given by her best friend, she would’ve ended up lost.
Lost… with Devon…. that might have its good points she though. Wait… Allison gave me these directions last night… was she planning on getting me lost, or was she planning on Devon being there to save me?
