the begining
AN: these are my original characters, as well as the story line, but anyone is welcome to use the names. They are so nice sounding. hahaha
ok here it is, i have forgotten, so shoot me. DISCLAIMER: mine. plot is mine. character personalities are mine, though the names for the goddess and gods i read somewhere, sorry. everything eles is from, as my english teacher once said, my twisted little mind.
THE BEGINING
It had been a hard year. The winter rains that usually came were nowhere to be seen. Usually the sky is filled with clouds with only a few stars peeking through, but not this winter. The village weather witch, Shouta, has said that someone or something is blocking the storms far to the West. First we believed out patron goddess, Chavi WestWind had forsaken us but the priestess for her, Aella, assured us that it was not her, but a most powerful demon that is near our area.
We were uncertain if that was true because our village monk, Sorintu, swore that no powerful demon was left in out area of the mountains. So, then the magistrate and town officials started saying it was Bian NorthWind, the DragonLord.
It is stated in the Book of the Four Winds that Lord Bian has a temper and is the head of The Four Houses of Wind. Bian is the DragonLord, Shai SouthWind is the WolfMistress, Vau EastWind is the HorseLord, and Chavi WestWind is the Lady of Cats. Though we knew deep down that Bian would not go against Chavi. He loved her and would not attack a village under her protection.
My name is Hotaru Moriko Shinta. Hotaru means “firefly” and Moriko means “forest child.” I live with my father and four brothers. My father, unfortunately, is the warlord around these parts, with my four brothers to help him. My fathers name is Angra Mainyu Shinta. His name means evil spirit, and that is exactly what he is. My mothers name was Hikari which means “light.” Before she died she had a prophecy. She said to me that my father was not who he seemed to be, and that I would have a son by a powerful being. Now at the time when she died, I was only six, and now it has been twelve years since she has passed into the realm of the dead. I am now eighteen and apparently the age to be wed, or so says my father.
“HOTARU!! Where are you?! It is your wedding day and you are hiding. Stop being childish and come out. If you do not come out in ten seconds, I am calling Father.” Kenji stated. Kenji is the second born son. He is also the nicest of the four. Father had sent him to make sure I was not running out on my wedding day. But he was right, I was hiding. I knew not to whom I was getting married to, but I didn’t care. I wanted to be single, at least for a little while longer. Plus just to be mean, my fourth eldest brother, Shiro, said that my new husband was a demon that Father had made a deal with and he was here to collect. Little did I know that he was so right.
Its time. Today is the day that I am married to someone I don\'t know.
