Memories
Prologue
April 3, 1995 London, England
The wind was howling, the trees looked as if they were trying t the the limbo, rain poured out of the sky like the sky was a faucet, the thunder was ear deafening and the lightning spread a zig zag shape across the sky. “Daddy, where are you going? And where is Mamma?” A little girl with chin length blond hair asked her big blue eyes in wonder.
The tall blond male turned to his daughter a soft smile on his face as a tear rolled down his cheek, “I’m going to war, your mother is in heaven so you need to call your aunt Sarah to come get you.” The man gave his daughter a hug then abruptly stood tall, “I can not stay, I will endanger you dear, just remember Daddy will always love you.”
The girl of about 8 years old did not understand why her father would leave her alone on such a night. She closed the door and ran to her phone as thunder was heard. When she picked up the phone there was no sound at all. She tried to dial numbers but to no avail. “Daddy!” She cried out. She didn’t want to be alone in the storm. “Mamma? Where are you? How far away is Heaven I might be able to walk there?” soon the girl fell asleep.
Every night for the fallowing 8 years that it stormed like that one night she would remember every emotion she had felt, loneliness, sadness, fear, and longing…
