~Wondered Why~

He always cried with her. She wondered why.

The tears flowed down to the ground. She wondered why.

He looked at her, said "˜I'll always be with you, no matter what.'

She said "˜I know, I feel the same. I love you.'

"˜I love you, too,' but he still cried, and she wondered why.

What happened then, she didn't know, but later on, he said he\'d go home.

And she never saw him again. Not until the funeral.

He was lying there, so pale and still, those blue eyes closed.

Never to see her, never to sparkle, never to cry.

She wondered why.

She hugged him. Everyone stared, but nobody had loved him.

Nobody had cared.

It was all her fault. She never knew.

They hated him, hurt him, but she never knew.

She still wonders why he died, why he cried,

And why she only wondered why.
