Learning Individualism from Emotions

Scene 1: Book Store

His eyes roamed a bit from shelf to shelf. So many books, he couldn’t help but sigh to himself. He looks over at Tsunami, he smiles softly watching her in her slight state of awe. She always loved to read, loved books, and he always tried to give her what she desired, even if it put him at an inconvenience. Seeing her happy made it always worth wild.

His ears twitched a bit as he looks back and forth over the books; Mangas, Role-playing books, misc fantasy books. He leaves Tsunami’s side for a moment venturing to the other side of the isle. His eyes seem to light up as he catches a glimpse of the WarCraft d20 core rules book. His tail swishes behind him as can’t help but giggles a bit as he picks it up flipping through it. All the different races and classes all within his grasp.

His eats flattened against his head as he placed it back on the book shelf, knowing that if he bought it, it would just sit on his bookshelf collecting dust.

“I thought you were looking for the Dungeon Master’s Thingy?” Tsunami pops up next to him as she blinks a bit curiously.
“I was Tsu-Chan, but we’re here to get you that book you wanted right?” He smiled down at her softly.
“I’m not sure where it is, it could be in Religion or maybe Comedy, it’s kind of a comedy. Eh... sort of”
“Well why don’t we go ask someone for help then?”
“You go ask I’m scared to ask...”

His ears flattened against his head once again in that familiar feline manner that Tsunami was all to use to when he was agitated about something. He eventually sighs and gives into her request
“Fine... I’ll go ask”
“Thank you~su”

He wandered up to the counter waiting a while for an attendant to become available. After awhile he gets his information and helps Tsu to obtain her book, he smiled down at her seeing her face light up upon finding it.

“Hmm... $13.95… what about this one? It’s the same and it’s $6.99”
Tsunami holds up the $13.95 book and speaks in a soft timid voice. “But... but... this one has all the reference points and everything in it...”

He thought to himself and counted in his mind sorting his money and how to best budget it for the remainder of the week, wanting to make her happy he caved once again and nodded. “Alright as long as it makes you happy...”

He smiled down at her as the pair move to the checkout. Opening his wallet and dishing out the difference to pay for her book. Before long the couple are well on their way back home.

Between red lights and stop signs he looks over at Tsu-Chan, his cute little girlfriend. She was a bit of a bookworm but that just added to her overall cuteness. Her thirst for knowledge always fascinated him. He admired her individuality and her talents greatly. Although he didn’t often express his feelings of admiration to her. He still had many of his own walls up from emotional pain and various other factors.

He loved her greatly that went with out a doubt, but at times it seemed she would rather do other things then converse with him. But then again, they were so in tune that conversation was rarely ever needed. They could easily tell when something was bothering the other, they held little to no secrets between each other.

Often times they had talked about the future, family, children... all things they both wanted but a matter of time and patience came into play.

The Neko-jin sighed opening his eyes from a blink as he got out of the car and waited for Tsunami to get out. Life had severely changed since he had stepped down from his kingdom. He had left his throne to his son while he went to live in the realm of men with Tsunami. Of course there were things to adjust too. How many cat people do you see walking around?

“Akito what’s wrong?” Tsu looked up at him, her eyes filled with a slight tone of concern.
“Nothing at all love, just thinking” He retorted in a monotone voice. Often times Tsu had thought he was upset because he would use this voice but it was really just from too much thought.
“You didn’t say anything in the car. I’m sorry for I made you spend your money on me. Don’t yell at me please...”

Akito raised an eyebrow looking down at her, she should have known by now that he would never raise his voice at her much less be mad at her.

“It’s alright, I wanted to make you happy so don’t worry”
“Kay...” She said still a little wary, but hugged him tightly regardless. A soft steady purr emitted from his chest as he nuzzles his nose into her cheek and licked it softly”
“Don’t worry so much, it’ll give you wrinkles...” He pinched her cheek a bit and smiles before they proceeded into the house.
