Desdre grimaced as the male finished rutting with her and finally
pulled out. \"Now that was something I\'ll always remember.\" The
young male boasted as he rolled off Desdre\'s voluptuous form. \"I
tamed a fearless Amazon in my bed.\" The young man laughed then
as he glanced around, where they were laid outside on the green
grass. \"Well, at least I tamed one with my rod.\" The young man
grinned as stroked his limp member once.
Desdre\'s eyes sparkled with something akin to malice. She quickly
pulled out a knife that had been hidden in her leather boot and
pressed it up against the young man\'s neck. \"You did not tame me,
foolish male; I only used you to produce a child. You mean nothing
to me, nor will you ever see me again, lest I have a male child, then I
will bring the male child back to you to raise.\"
The young man\'s eyes widened fearfully. \"I cannot take a male child,
I have a wife already.\"
Desdre smiled a grim smile before re-sheathing her knife. \"You
should have thought about that before lying with me.\"
The young man was left gaping, his member laid spent on his thigh as
he watched the flame haired young women mount her roan colored
horse and gallop off.
He shuddered. He hoped never to see her again, for if he did, he
knew his wife would leave him, and Cecile was a good wife, but he
knew that she would not stand for him being unfaithful. Especially
with one of the well known, and well hated Amazons.
~
Desdre sat down the heap of soft animal skins as her life-partner
walked out of the hut to go gather some fruit for Desdre\'s eight
month pregnant body. Hieka, Desdre\'s partner was looking forward
to having a child in their hut. Desdre prayed each day to Ishtar, the
warrior goddess for a female child.
Desdre felt the child inside her give a strong kick, and a smile came
unbidden to her soft lips. The child had to be a girl to give such
strong kicks.
Desdre stroked her stomach as she sang a song of ages past to her
growing child inside of her. She closed her eyes peacefully, and lay
back on the covers to stretch out as much as her girth would allow
her too.
Desdre sighed as she cupped a plump right breast in the palm of her
hand. She stroked the hardening nipple lightly and sighed. She had
not been able to lie with her life-partner for a few weeks because the
priestess had given her advice. The priestess of Ishtar had told Desdre
and her life partner Hieka to not lie with each other after the sixth
months. There were a better percentage of females being born that
way.
Hieka pushed the hide aside as she ducked into the hut. She saw
Desdre stretched out on the animal skins, playing with herself and a
full grown smile graced her firm lips. The brown haired girl cleared
her throat, and smiled when Desdre jumped.
\"You\'re back so soon?\" Desdre asked as a slow blush crawled its way
across her fair cheeks.
Hieka nodded as she knelt down to give her life-partner a searing
kiss. \"There was a bush full of ripe berries on the path that leads
towards the waterfalls. I stopped and picked a bowl full and brought
them back for you and our child.
Desdre smiled as she accepted the bowl from her life-partner and
begin to eat her morning meal. She gasped as her child again gave a
strong kick to her womb. Hieka smiled, her black eyes glittered with
mirth as she pressed her hand up against the swollen stomach of
Desdre\'s. \"The child has to be a girl; no man could kick that strong.\"
Desdre laughed. \"Indeed, that was my very thought earlier.\"
Desdre jumped when the priestess of Ishtar ducked into their hut,
uninvited. The priestess\' eyes glittered with hate as she broke the
stunned silence with her fateful words.
\"The Centaurs are close to the village, they seek to destroy our kind.
We must take them by surprise, and kill them, before they kill us.
Hieka, you can lend us your strength and Spear, but Desdre, you
must stay here with the other pregnant women and children. You are
to full with child to be able to move agile.\" The priestess spoke the
last words then disappeared from the hut entrance.
Desdre turned fearful, yet determined eyes toward her partner. \"Do
our family honor, and kill the Centaurs before the get to our village. I
will be waiting for you when you come back.\"
Hieka smiled warmly, and kissed her partner one last time before
standing up. \"I will do our family honor, and I will bring back
Centaur meat for supper.\"
Desdre smiled as her life-mate strode proudly out from their hut, and he ohe offered up a prayer to Ishtar for her life-partners safety.
~
The priestess Urantios smiled grimly as she surveyed the fallen
centaur bodies. Their tribe had defeated the Centaurs, but not
without their own casualties.
Hieka of the Scythian tribe had been slaughtered ruthlessly that day,
as well as several other women. She turned grim, hateful eyes toward
the west, where the centaurs had come from. She hated this part of
being priestess. Going to give the life-partner the soul-shattering
words. She turned her thoughts towards Hieka\'s pregnant life-par
and sorcamecame to her sky blue eyes. Desdre would be shattered,
and it might bring her to go into labor early.
~
Desdre waited with baited breath all day to hear news of the battle.
During one point in the afternoon she had felt a sudden terror that
had quickly passed, and Desdre knew then that something had
happened. She had prayed to Ishtar all afoon, oon, seeking some sort
of reassurance that her life-partner was alive, but as soon as the
Priestess strode into her hut, Desdre knew that she was alone for the
rest of her time on the planet earth. Her life-partner was dead.
The Priestess offered a hug to the distraught women, but Desdre
ignored the priestess and rushed out past her, out of the hut, to
where she saw Hieka, lying peacefully in her own blood. Hieka\'s lush
eyelashes laid peacefully over closed midnight colored eyes, and her
long brown hair was spread out around her, soaked with blood. The
women had brought back the dead women on a stretcher of lion skin,
and several women had already came outside and were wailing, their
grief was palpable in the air, and Desdre closed her eyes, her grief so
intense that she felt light-headed. \"No…\" The word passed her lips
unaccounted for as she fell to her knees. She crawled over to where
her life mate laid so still and wrapped her arms around her lifeless
partner. \"Hieka, no…please, wake up, you haven\'t even seen the
baby, your Li\'lei. Please wake up, Hieka, you need to wake up, you
need to help me raise our little one, please wake up, wake up…\"
Desdre felt Hieka\'s blood seep through her thin leather skirt, and felt
Hieka\'s blood smear across her bared breasts. She then felt hands
b onb onto her arms, and instantly clung to her life-partners dead
body. \"No, leave me.\" She told the hands that were grasping at her.
Desdre then felt her green eyes fill with tears, and that\'s when she
felt a pain so deep start within her womb, and she knew that her
baby was going to come early. Desdre\'s eyes cleared as she gave into
the grasping hands, and felt them lift her heavy body off the still
body of her dead life-partner. She had her little one to live for; her
Li\'lei would give her the ce toe to live again.
Eighteen years later
Li\'lei paused in the middle of skinning a deer. She had heard a twig
snap, and was uneasy. She stood up, drawing her bone knife from
her side sheath and waited, watching the surrounding tree\'s and plant
life for any movement. She heard another twig snap, and her whole
body tensed, and her vibrant green eyes narrowed to slits.
\"Who is out there?\" She asked, after a long stretch of silence, and
then she glared as her friend Delphi walked out from the bushes with
a sheepish grin on her face. \"You should not sneak up on me like
that Delphi.\" Li\'lei told her friend as she sheathed her knife. She bent
back down and finished her task, and heaved the body of the skinned
deer up onto the ground stretcher and started to walk, dragging the
dead deer behind her.
Delphi walked beside her, and Li\'lei looked at her friend with a
question dancing around in her green eyes. \"What did you want my
friend?\"
\"Your mother is not doing too well Li\'lei, her health wanes this very
moment. I fear she will not last the night.\" Li\'lei\'s eyes lost their
sparkle, and her lips quivered. \"So soon? I thought the Priestess said
that she would make it at least one more season.\"
Delphi hugged her friend and kissed her on the mouth. \"Your mother
will soon be with the great Goddess Ishtar, and she will watch over
you with her life-partner Hieka. It will be good for them to be
together once more.\"
Li\'lei smiled sadly. As far as she could remember her mother had
always told her stories of Hieka, and she could always see the hurt
and the longing when her mother spoke of her life-partner. Li\'lei was
going to miss her mother, yet she knew her mother would be whole
again once more.
\"My mother will be happy once again. She loved me, yet I could tell
that she always yearned to be with her life-partner.\" Li\'lei stopped
and cocked her head as she thoughtfully told her friend, \"I don\'t
want a life-partner ever. I don\'t want to be half-whole if my
life-partner would ever die. I\'ve seen what living half-whole has been
like for my mother, and I don\'t want to risk my self like that.\" Li\'lei
said, her eyes misting over at the thought of never having a
life-partner, but she knew she would live by her words.
Li\'lei never noticed the sorrow that came into Delphi\'s eyes as she
said that.
~
By the time Li\'lei had walked back to the village, her mother had
already departed from her earthly life.
The Priestess offered up prayers to the goddess\' and watched as Li\'lei
placed her mother\'s body upon the sticks on the stone altar, and light
her mother\'s body. The stench of burning flesh soon filled the
village, but Li\'lei never blinked as she stood there morning, yet glad
that her mother was now in paradise with her life-partner.
The next morning Li\'lei finally left the stone altar, her mothers ashes
had spread over the area, and some flying to far off places on the
winds. Li\'lei said goodbye once more to her mother and headed off
to her Hut where she laid down on her bed of soft skins, and fell into
a deep yet uneasy sleep.
~
Delphi paced outside her friends hut, worry etched deep into her
golden eyes. Her black hair fanned out once more behind her as she
turned to pace the other way. Li\'lei had been inside her hut mourning
for 3 days without food or water. The priestess wouldn\'t let her go
into the hut until the fourth day, but she was worried. Li\'lei had to be
starving by now and very thirsty- Delphi glanced up as the skin that
served to cover the doorway to her friends hut wusheushed aside by
her friend\'s fair hand.
Delphi immediately rushed over and embraced her friend in a hug,
and kissed Li\'lei wholly on the lips. \"You had me so worried, Li,
never do that to me again.\"
Delphi\'s golden eyes shimmered with worry, and Li\'lei smiled and
kissed her friend back softly. \"I am done mourning, my friend. I will
be fine now. I am hungry though-\"Li\'lei blinked as her friend rushed
over to pick something off the ground. Li\'lei\'s eyes widened prettily
as she say what her friend had in her hands. Roasted rabbit and
berries were laid out on a wooden plate, and Li\'lei felt her mouth
water. \"You\'re the best Delphi.\" She said as she took the offered
plate from her friends hand and sat down on a mat and began to eat
hungrily.
Delphi smiled as she watched her friend eat. She loved Li\'lei so
fiercely, and yet her friend was completely oblivious. She watched as
her friends long fiery red hair tangled in curls around her friend\'s
bottom and giggled as a small kitten batted at her friend\'s fire-colored
tresses.
Delphi bent down to pick up the black kitten and petted it as her
friend finished her meal.
Li\'lei smiled gratefully at her friend as she stood up. \"So what is the
latest news, Delphi? What of the Men\'s world? Is their any more
news of the barbarian called Hercules?\" Delphi grinned and nodded.
\"It has been said that he killed the ferocious Nemean lion by
strangling it, and now wears its pelt around his waist.\"
Li\'lei rolled her eyes. \"Anyone could say that. Is their proof?\"
Delphi shook her head. \"No proof, but you know how much the
Greeks like to exaggerate. He probably only had a drunken brawl as
most Greek men are susceptible of doing.\"
Li\'lei tipped her head back and laughed. \"So true my dear friend.\"
Delphi smiled, then a thoughtful look passed across her fair face.
\"Queen Hippolyta has said that if the treaties with the Greeks fall
through, their could be war.\"
Li\'lei felt a tremor of forbiddance rippled down her spine. \"W
How soon?\"
Delphi shrugged, and reached up to scratch her cheek. \"The Queen
said maybe within a season or two.\"
Li\'lei sighed. \"I hope its sooner than la\"
\"
Delphi looked at her friend with surprise on her face. \"What do you
mean? Why do you say that?\"
Li\'lei smiled a sort of bleak smile. \"I wish to join my mother.\"
Delphi shook her head. \"You can\'t, you have much to live for my
friend.\"
Li\'lei shook her head. \"I have absolutely nothing, Delphi.\"
Delphi pulled a surprised Li\'lei into her arms and pressed her lips to
her friends, and pored her love into that one fiery kiss. \"You have me
to live for, Li. Please, live for me.\"
Li\'lei looked into her friend\'s eyes, and felt a tremor of fear pass
through her. \"I can\'t love you, Delphi, I just can\'t.\" With those words
said, Li\'lei tore out of camp.
~ Two months later ~
\"Is that the Mesopotamian Amazon tribes delegate party?\" Li\'lei
whispered to Delphi as she watched the foreign women march
through the came and be welcomed into her Queen\'s hut.
Delphi nodded, her black hair fanned out behind her as she strode
out to watch the last of the strange, yet beautiful women enter her
Queen\'s hut. These strange Amazon women walked with a grace, and
agility known only to Jaguars. They all had sun colored hair, that
shone like halos around their bodies, and their eyes were the color of
a jaguars, golden brown.
Yet, none of them matched the grace and beauty thade ude up her
friend Li\'lei. Li\'lei\'s body was small, yet slim and strong. Her legs
were long for her short body, and her breasts were plump and firm,
and had light dusky pink nipples that begged for Delphi\'s attention.
Her neck was graceful, and her ears tiny. Her red hair was gloriously
long, and curly. She was an epitome of a goddess, yet she was so
oblivious of her looks. This was one of the many things that had
drawn Delphi to her, even if she had only been six at the time.
Li\'lei looked on at the delegate party with wistfulness on her face.
They knew of the outside world because they had been out in it. She
had never even been outside her tribe\'s borders, and she longed to go
traveling, to see the many wonders of the world. She had thrived on
tales of the outside world as she had grown up, and still loved to
hear the latest news. Li\'lei stretched her petite body as she settled
down on the ground. She wanted to talk to one of the women from
the Mesopotamian party; she had a lot of questions for these well
know Amazons.
~
Ten\'ra watched on in sileas has her Leader conversed with the
Amazon Queen Hippolyta. Antiope, her leader was strong and
fearless, which is how her leader came to be leader. Her tribe was
based on skills, and the ladder reached up from there. The strongest
survived, and the weakest would be left behind.
This was the way of the Mesopotamian, the way of the Jaguar. Ten\'ra
sighed as she yearned to be outside running in her other half\'s skin,
her skin of the jaguar. She loved the way running felt upon all fours
gave her such a sense of freedom.
She was brought back to attention as Antiope thrust her spear into
the air. \"There will be war within the Season that comes.\" The cheers
that followed made a grin come onto the beautiful woman\'s face, and
her beautiful amber colored eyes lit with an unholy glee. \"War.\"
Thought Ten\'ra, \"This war will be our victory.\"
~
Ten\'ra stepped out into the sunshine as the meeting closed and
smiled. She loved the sun\'s warm rays that beat down on her, making
her skin feel velvety warm. She looked around the busy Amazon
camp and her eyes came to a sudden stop.
Their sitting on the edge of camp, where two lovely girls. But one
wholly outshone the other. Her fiery red hair hung below her waist
in an endless mass of curls, and even from her distance, Ten\'ra could
tell the color of that exotic girls eyes. A vivid jungle green.
Ten\'ra felt her stomach tighten with a feeling so intense that it took
her breath away. The jaguar in her roared roared with the ferocity of
a found life mate. Ten\'ra blinked with surprise, and then a shiver of
dread rushed down her spine. Why would she find her life mate now,
with war on the horizon?
~
Li\'lei had half fallen asleep when she saw the cloth door be pushed
aside. She sat up quickly and her breath almost slammed out of her
body when she saw the figure that immerged from the hut.
The woman was very tall, but also graceful. You could almost see
the aura of power that surrounded the warrior, yet she was the most
beautiful thing that Li\'lei had ever laid sight too. Long limbs were
incased by leather straps, and the females breasts were bound tightly,
so\'s not to be in the way while drawing her bow and arrow. The
women had sun colored hair that well reached below her back, but it
was braided tightly so that it would be out of the woman\'s way. But
one of the most amazing features the women had was her luminous
brown eyes that stared deep into Li\'lei\'s soul. And without realizing
it, Li\'lei had gasped as she felt a pull toward the beautiful women, an
emotional pull, and one that Li\'lei didn\'t want to feel. Li\'lei saw the
women start walking toward her, and she sprang up and ran into the
jungle. She felt tears make their way across her cheeks, and she knew
that she couldn\'t go back to camp as long as the delegate party was
there. She couldn\'t afford to love, especially in such a perilous time
of war that shimmered on the horizon.
She ran out to the waterfalls and quickly stripped herself of her
loincloth and dived of the waterfall into the deep spring below. She
didn\'t want to have to think, she thought, as she surfaced the cold,
yet refreshing water.
~
Delphi ran through the jungle, not two steps behind her friend. She
pressed her hand to her head as she remembered the intense feeling
she had felt flow through her as she watched Li\'lei somehow connect
with the Amazon warrior in her village, a connection that Li\'lei had
said she never wanted.
Delphi\'s brow lowered as she remembered the look on the Amazon
warriors face, it was one of longing, loving and surprise when Li\'lei
had jumped up and ran off. Delphi felt a hate start within her, a hate
so intense that she wished to kill the warrior, and steal Li\'lei for
herself.
She had been there for Li\'lei ever since she was a small child, and
this new woman had aroused feelings in Li\'lei, feelings that Li\'lei had
never shown toward her. She felt jealousy surge through her slim
body, and knew that she had to keep Li\'lei away from the warrior at
all costs.
She came to the falls, and watched as Li\'lei stripped herself of her
small loincloth, and felt a heat unfurl in her lower belly. She
stripped herself of her own cloths and dived in after her friend.
~
Ten\'ra watched in surprise as the young girl ran off with something
akin to panic in the way the young girl ran away from her. She knew
that the other girl had felt the pull, but why would she fear the
connection? Most women longed for life mates, and yet, here was a
girl that was seemingly terrified of the connection. Ten\'ra pursed her
lips together as she made a decision.
She would woo, and court this lovely young maiden. She had waited
almost thirty two years on this earth for a life mate, and now that
Ten\'ra had found her, she wasn\'t about to let the young maiden run
away from her in fear.
Ten\'ra took off running in the direction the two girls had run off in.
Ten\'ra\'s eyes glittered with anger as she remembered the look of
longing on the girl\'s face that was standing to to her life mate, one
of longing as she glanced at the form of her life mate, and one of
malice as the girls golden eyes had fixed upon hers. It looked as if
she had a rival.
\'One that won\'t last for long on this earth if she tries to get
in-between me, and mine.\" Ten\'ra swore.
Ten\'ra quickly divested herself of her cloths and crouched down as
she morphed into her other half; the jaguar. She ran underneath the
heavy jungle foliage until she came to a tropical oasis. There was a
big clear pool that had waterfalls surrounding it, Ten\'ra saw the black
haired girl jump in, and then she spotted her life mate in the clear
pool.
Ten\'ra could see that her life mate was naked as her life mate stayed
in one spot treading the water with ease.
She was beautiful, her life mate; and all hers.
~
Li\'lei frowned as she saw her friend jump in the water after her, so
she stopped swimming and treaded water as her friend swam over to
her side.
\"Why did you run away like that?\" Asked Delphi with a questioning
look on her face as she flipped her hair back over her glistening wet
shoulder. Li\'lei shrugged and swam over toward the more shallow
part so that she could talk with Delphi without having to concentrate
on treading the deep water. She got to the shallow part and stepped
out, the water running down her glistening body in rivulets.
She sat down on the pure white sand that surrounded the water and
laid out stretching. \"To answer your question Delphi, I don\'t really
know why I ran away. The woman was so beautiful and captivating, I
felt something insid dra draw me to her, and it frightened me, when I
told you about not wanting a life partner, I meant it. I guess I was
attracted to her, but I can\'t have the kind of relationship right now,
especially with war on the horizon, it would distract me. I would be
fearful, and get either myself, or my life partner killed right away in
the first battle.\" Li\'lei explained, with a thoughtful look on her face.
Delphi noticed the forlorn expression on her friends face, and
immediately hugged her friend and pressed a soft kiss to her friends
yielding lips, but all of a sudden Delphi felt her hair on her neck
raise as she heard a low growl behind her. She turned her head
around slowly, and saw a jaguar crouching low just a foot behind
them.
Li\'lei turned around also, and saw a beautiful jaguar crouching
behind them. She noticed that the creature didn\'t seem to like Delphi
much, but when it would look her way, it seemed to smile, as if it
was telling her that it wouldn\'t hurt her. Li\'lei got off the sand,
brushing small pieces of sand of her smooth buttocks and walked
slowly over to the jaguar holding her hand out in a fist, palm up. The
jaguar trotted over and sniffed at her hand, and Li\'lei hesitantly put
her hand on the beautiful jaguars head and rubbed its soft ears. The
jaguar closed its eyes and purred, its rumbling sound echoing around
the area.
Li\'lei giggled softly and wrapped her arms around the jaguar, and felt
its rough tongue lick her neck and squirmed because it tickled.
Delphi felt jealousy creep through her veins and made a motion to
walk over towards Li\'lei, but immediately the Jaguar lifted its head
and growled a warning.
Delphi felt something in side her recoil, but not in fear, but anger.
How dare this animal come in between Li\'lei and herself? She knew
the jealousy that she felt was unreasonable, but there was something
odd in the jaguars golden eyes, something that spoke of intelligence,
human intellect, and that put Delphi on edge. She gritted her teeth
and tried to relax her tense body.
\"Shouldn\'t we be getting back? Queen Hippolyta surely has news to
tell us of the meeting. We should be finding out about how soon we
will be going to war with those back stabbing Greeks.\" Delphi said,
trying to reason Lii awi away from the deadly jaguar.
Li\'lei sighed and released her arms from around the beautiful jaguar\'s
soft neck. She had felt so safe curled around her jaguar, but she
knew that she had to be getting back to camp, even if she would run
into the beautiful warrior woman again. Her Queen would have more
news for the tribe, and she had her responsibility to be there as
captain of the warriors. Hippolyta would need her council as well.
\"Your right Delphi, We do need to get back.\" Li\'lei stood up, but not
before giving the beautiful animal one last hug. She climbed up the
cliff side with Delphi to get to their cloths and was soon headed back
to the camp, Li\'lei filled with anxiety, and Delphi filled with jealousy
and anger.
~
Ten\'ra watched as the two girls left to head back to camp, and she
felt her body change back into her human form. She sniffed around
the area, closing her eyes as she smelled the sweet jasmine sent of
her mate. Her Brown eyes snapped back open as she smelled the
ugly sent of jealousy. Ten\'ra shook her head in disgust. The black
haired women- Delphi, would be dangerous. A jealous woman was
always dangerous. Ten\'ra knew that she would have to keep all
senses on alert as she tried to court her lovely maiden.
Ten\'ra quickly melded back into her other half and was off as soon as
she was wholly into her other form. She had to get back to her cloths
and get back to camp. She had wooing to do.
~
Li\'lei was soon back to camp, and she looked anxiously around for
any signs of the golden haired warrior, she did see the other
delegates, but no sign of her warrior. \'Wait, did I just think \'my
warrior\'? This can\'t be happening!\' She moaned as she raced off to
her lodge to change into her ceremonial leather thong and her tight
leather chest bindings incase if they would be heading out right
away.
She quickly ran her fingers through her unruly, curly hair before she
stopped her movements all together. \'Why am I fussing over how I
look?\' She asked herself, before she let out an annoyed sigh. She was
already letting the warrior get to her. This was not good.
She qly sly smudged some coal around her eyes to make them look
more luminous- and also to shade her eyes into the background. She
strode out of the hut, only to find Delphi waiting for her. \"Hi Delphi,
ready to go?\"
Delphi nodded, her black hair done up in several braids and all
pulled back with a leather thong. Li\'lei had always envied her friend
for her straight long black tresses. Li\'lei had always longed for her
friend\'s hair, rather then has her own unruly fire colored tresses.
Delphi saw that her friend was thinking, so before she could talk
herself out of doing something that she might regret later, she pulled
her best friend into a fierce kiss, wrapping her strong arms around her
friend\'s shoulders.
Li\'lei made a sound of protest in the back of her throat as her friend
kissed her. She tried to wiggle her way out of her friends hold, but
Delphi only tightened her hold on the fiery girl.
Ten\'ra saw Delphi pull her mate into her arms, and felt her hackles
rise, and a growl leapt from her throat. She quickly strode over-
much to the surprise of her fellow warriors, and pulled her mate
away from the grasping ebony haired witch. \"How dare you kiss a girl
when it\'s unwanted?\" She growled at Delphi as she felt the slight girl
in her arms tremble.
Delphi\'s lips curled back in distaste. \"And how dare you take her
away from me- And how would you know if it was unwanted, Li\'lei
wanted it, she loves met yot you, some stranger she does not even
know.\"
Ten\'ra\'s eyes widened briefly. Her loves name was Li\'lei? So
beautiful- and feminine. She then heard Delphi\'s words, and her eyes
narrowed. \"Why don\'t you ask Li\'lei that then? Ask her if she wants
you to kiss her.\"
Delphi felt her body fairly quiver with rage. \"Li\'lei wanted me to kiss
her, didn\'t you, Li\'lei.\" Delphi narrowed her eyes at Li\'lei, almost
daring her to call Delphi on her lie. Li\'lei stiffened, and she felt the
warriors arms that held her loosen. \"I did not want your kiss Delphi,
nor do I want any others.\" Li\'lei declared, and she felt a deep sorrow,
some of it was hers- yes, but yet… it felt as if most of it were coming
from the tender, yet strong body that was holding hers.
\'How can that be?\" Li\'lei thought. \'Unless- I\'ve heard of feelings, even
thoughts being shared between two soul mates.\" Li\'lei\'s eyes widened
fearfully. \'This woman, this warrior who is holding me, is she my
soul mate?\"
Ten\'ra heard the words that had come from her life mate, and felt
despair and grief start deep in her soul. Now that she had found her
soul mate, she couldn\'t just leave her go. She would die without her
smaller life mate. She would perish from grief.
Li\'lei felt her head spinning from all the emotions coursing through
her tiny body, and all of a sudden her body slumped back into a
faint. Ten\'ra caught Li\'lei, feeling alarm shoot through her body.
\"Li\'lei?\" She asked, her eyes creased in worry. She quickly laid her
life mates body gently to the oft dirt, and growled a warning when
Delphi made a move to come over. \"You\'re not needed her Delphi.\"
She told the black haired girl. Delphi shook her head and strode
over. Ten\'ra leapt up and spread her legs apart, finding a firm footing.
\"I said stay away.\" Ten\'ra\'s eyes glowed with warning, and Delphi
pulled out her hunting knife.
\"You cannot tell me what I can, or cannot do, Mesopotamian. This is
my Village, not yours.\" Delphi bit back, her temper barley held in
check. She tensed even further, however when she saw Queen
Hippolyta walk into the clearing.
\"What\'s going on here Delphi, Ten\'ra?\" Hippolyta looked down and
saw Li\'lei lay out on the dirt gently, passed. \". \"And hap happened
to my fiercest warrior?\"
Delphi knew that she would be in trouble, and her head lowered
with shame. But then her head shot back up proudly. \"This
Mesopotamian challenged me for Li\'lei.\" Delphi said, telling only
half the truth.
Hippolyta\'s eyebrow rose. \"And what does that have to do with
Li\'lei, who has fainted to the earthen floor? Was she so surprised?\"
The Queen asked with a biting sarcasm in her voice. \"I know that you
are not telling me everything Delphi, for that, you will spend three
days on the outer encampment with no human contact. You are to be
shamed for lying to your Queen, who has taken care of you, and your
tribe.\"
Delphi felt a protest come to her lips when she saw the relief in
Ten\'ra\'s eyes. This would give Ten\'ra time to woo Li\'lei without her in
the way! But yet, when she looked back over into her Queen\'s eyes
she knew better than to argue. \"Yes My queen.\"
Delphi strode to her tent, gathered her things and went to the outer
camp, already feeling the rage take hold of her body completely. The
minute Ten\'ra stepped outside the camp boundaries; she would kill
the golden haired Amazon. No matter if that would get her killed in
return. Delphi\'s chin jutted out in stubbornness. \"If I can\'t have Li\'lei,
That Amazon certainly will not.\" She vowed.
~
Li\'lei felt panicked as she woke up from her faint. She gasped as she
sat up all of a sudden, dizzy with the small effort. She then felt
soothing hands on her forehead, and she leaned into the gentle
touch, fairly purring before Li\'lei caught herself. She jerked her head
away and looked up into warm brown eyes. \"Are you feeling better
Li\'lei?\" Ten\'ra asked as she saw the confusion fi thr through her life
mate\'s green eyes.
\"What happened?\" Li\'lei asked as she looked into Ten\'ra\'s eyes.
Ten\'ra stroked her face softly, soothingly, and Li\'lei leaned into the
touch, like a tamed jaguar, looking up into Ten\'ra\'s eyes with
something akin to love shining in her jungle green eyes.
Ten\'ra\'s own golden brown eyes glimmered with surpressed
emotions, need, desire and love filtered through every pore of her
being. She needed Li\'lei, like one needed air to breath. \"You feel this
connection between us, do you not?\" Ten\'ra asked Li\'lei, taking
Li\'lei\'s small, but firm hand into her own, and placing it on her heart.
Li\'lei closed her eyes, scared of all the emotions that were running
through her lithe body. \"I do.\" She confessed, her wide green eyes
telling Ten\'ra, what her own lips could not.
Ten\'ra leaned down, and captured Li\'lei\' velvety soft lips with her
own. She groaned as she felt fire spread like quicksand through her
veins. This feeling, Li\'lei, in her arms felt so right, so pure... Ten\'ra
reached up with her hand to cup Li\'lei\'s firm breast, and felt Li\'lei
jump. Ten\'ra smiled against Li\'lei\'s lips, and looked into her confused
eyes.
Ten\'ra pulled away gently, her lips still tingling pleasantly. Li\'lei sat
dazed for a couple of seconds before looking back up into the eyes
of her... life partner? Soul-mate? \"I\'m scared.\" Li\'lei confessed
quietly, and Ten\'ra quickly pulled the shivering girl into her arms.
\"Why are you scared? I would never hurt you.\"
Li\'lei smiled at the concerned look that showed in Ten\'ra\'s eyes. \"I
don\'t want you to die, I don\'t want to be left al.. I.. I saw what my
mother went through my whole life, without her life-partner by her
side. It\'s what killed her in the end, her grief was so over-whelming...
And until I met you, I had planned on being alone my whole life,
that\'s why I trained so hard to get my captains position. I had no
other goals, and no life-partner that would worry about me if I had to
go into battle... So you see, your coming here has been unwanted-\"
At the hurt look that showed in Ten\'ra\'s brown eyes, Li\'lei quickly
leaned forward to press her cool lips quickly to Ten\'ra\'s.
Li\'lei smiled as she felt the icy bands of fear melt away from around
her heart. \"It may of been unwanted, but only at first. I know
that I was meant for you, just as you were meant for me. I already
feel you in here.\" Li\'lei explained as she pressed Ten\'ra\'s hand to her
heart.
Ten\'ra smiled at the complete look of trust and love in her lifemates
eyes, and quickly pressed her lips to Li\'lei\'s once more- feeling as if
she could never slack her undying thirst for the red-haired goddess.
Li\'lei smiled as Ten\'ra kissed her, feeling as if she was finally safe
from everything- her fears, enemies and Delphi. She didn\'t know why
Delphi had suddenly changed into this scary, bitterly jealous women,
but she knew that she missed the way her friend used to be, kind,
caring, considerate... Li\'lei looked at Ten\'ra as she pulled away.
\"What\'s wrong?\"
Ten\'ra smiled, and teased Li\'lei. \"I could feel that you were thinking,
my beautiful one, because your kiss was being absently preformed.\"
Li\'lei felt a rosy blush spread vividly on her fair skin. \"I am sorry.\"
She said, a look of guilt passed qui ove over her face, and Ten\'ra
pulled Li\'lei into the safety of her arms. \"I love you little one, its ok,
I was just teasing.\"
Li\'lei heard the words, \'I love you\' and looked wonderingly up into
the soft eyes of her loves. \"You love me?\" She asked, feeling giddy,
and doubt at the same time.
Ten\'ra nodded. \"And do you love me?\" She asked with a secret smile
on her rosy lips. Li\'lei giggled softly and nodded. \"I don\'t know how I
couldn\'t. I love you so much, I feel that if we were just to be an arms
length apart, that I would lose the very breath from my body.\"
Ten\'ra felt a heady sense of love rush through her, at those sweet
words that ushered from Li\'lei. She quickly pulled her smaller lover
into the circle of her arms, and bent to nip softly at the side of her
neck. Ten\'ra felt her canines lengthen, and she pulled away quickly.
\"I have something to tell you, Li\'lei... A confession.\"
Li\'lei looked up at her lovers face with a questioning look in her
fathomless green eyes. \"And what would that be? Something not too
terrible, I hope.\" Li\'lei teased, with a bit of an incelent smirk
gracing her lush lips.
\"I am one of the changelings, Li\'lei, one of the animal humans of the
myths of old. Our tribe has had to hide this from outsiders since so
many of us have been killed over the centauries.\" Ten\'ra explained,
watching the interested and open expression on Li’lei’s face. \"We
usually mate within our own species, since changing a human mate
into one of us is a painful experience the first time.\" Ten\'ra saw
Li\'lei\'s eyes widen minutely, before an excepting look graced her
features.
\"So what you\'re saying is that I will become on of the changelings, as I
am to be your mate?\" Li\'lei asked, curiosity and pleasure made Li\'lei
feel tiny pin pricks of excitement rush over her body. \"Wait a
minute... Would that jaguar that I happened to run into at the falls be
you?\" Ten\'ra nodded and bit at her nails nervously. She hoped that
Li\'lei wouldn’t be mad at having her privacy invaded.
\"I knew something was different about that jaguar. So will I be a
jaguar too?\" Li\'lei asked, the open curiosity on her face made her
look like a young child. \"Yes, as my mate you would be a jaguar.
You would have to move with my village though, seeing as we are a
secret race.\"
Li\'lei leaned up to kiss her tall lover sweetly on the mouth. She then
pulled away and smiled brightly. \"Wherever you go, I will go. I
couldn’t live without you.\"
~
Delphi paced on the outskirts of camp, looking into the huts, seeing
all the women nestling down for the night she came up with a plan.
She stalked over to a bush that was full of ripe red berries. Poison
berries. If you ate enough of them, they would kill you in an instant,
eat a few of them, and mighmight die, or you could be very violently
sick. She plucked a handful of the deceptive looking berries and
walked quietly over to the hut that she knew Ten\'ra was in.
~
Ten\'ra laid down on the animal skins, and pulled a compliant Li\'lei
on top of her, feeling a deep sense of need pull at her. She surged up
to capture Li\'lei\'s soft lips with hers and reached down to untie Li\'lei\'s
leather thong apart. It fell oficklickly, and Ten\'ra lowered her hand
to nestle it in between her lovers silky thighs. She brought her finger
up and touched the hard little bump she found, rubbing it, making
Li\'lei grown and arch up, Ten\'ra then flipped Li\'lei over so that she
was on top and brought her lips down to suckle at one of Li\'lei\'s
rosy pink nipples.
Li\'lei felt as if her body was on fire. Ten\'ra\'s body was pleasing hers
so thoroughly that she thought she might faint, Ten\'ra\'s mouth wa
li
like liquid fire on her ever so hard nipples, making Li\'lei gasp, her
loins tightened and then she felt Ten\'ra\'s mouth leave her nipples,
only to touch her innermost place with her tongue. Li\'lei jumped, her
nerves tingling frightfully, her breath leaving her soft body in hard
pants.
\"Please, oh goddess, please Ten\'ra, you make me fly!...\" Li\'lei sobbed
as Ten\'ra\'s mouth on her brought her to orgasm, her body tightened
in pleasure, and Ten\'ra quickly lapped up the sweet juices her
life mate gave to her.
She then lapped at her mate’s neck, and Ten\'ra felt Li\'lei\'s arms
encircle her, telling her that she knew what was bout to happen, and
that it was just fine. Ten\'ra felt her canines lengthen once more, and
she pressed them against the side of her willing mate’s neck, and felt
them slide in painlessly. Her life mate’s sweet blood rushed into her
mouth, filling her with the tangy taste of her life mates life-force. She
felt the toxin from her bite release into her mate’s body, and saw as it
begin to change her life mate’s body.
Li\'lei screamed as she first felt her insides changing, morphing into
the right pattern of stomach a jaguar would haveen hen her eyes
widened as she screamed louder, in more pain then she would ever
had imagined. Her bones crunched as they broke, either lengthening,
or shortening into the right form for the form of a jaguar. Li\'lei felt the
pains leave her just as fast as it had come on, and she collapsed
panting, her tongue lolling out and her eyes closed. She felt her
knew body keenly, now aware of every smell, sound every subtle
shift of the earth. She then felt a rough tongue licking her, grooming
her body and Li\'lei relaxed into her life mate’s treatment, her body
felt suddenly tired, so unable to lift a paw, she fell asleep.
Ten\'ra saw her life mate fall asleep and grimaced. Li\'lei\'s screams of
pain would be haunting her dreams for days to come. She knew that
as soon her life mate would wake up, that she would be hungry, so
she slipped quietly out of the tent, padding of silently into the
jungle, atchatch something for her life mate.
~
Delphi slipped quietly into her enemy’s tent, clutching the berries
delicately in the palm of her hand. Expecting to see the body of her
foe, she saw the body of a sleeping jaguar, schedched out lazily over
the soft animal skins that were laid out on the floor. Delphi\'s mind
raced. \'All the old myths must be true then, Ten\'ra can change into
the jaguar form.\' She thought. She then crept silently over to the
slumbering form and crushed the berries into her hand, and opened
the side of the jaguar’s mouth. She swallowed nervously, seeing the
sharp teeth of her foe glittering whitely at her, but she then braced
herself and slipped the berries into the side of the creatures mouth.
She saw the creatures throat work, and saw it swallow the berries.
Delphi knew that within an hour Ten\'ra would be dead, and Li\'lei
Would finally be all hers.

No matter if that would get her killed in
return. Delphi\'s chin jutted out in stubbornness. \"If I can\'t have Li\'lei,
That Amazon certainly will not.\" She vowed.
