Summary: A nameless time mage, who will is stronger than steel. A spirit who guides. And a vision of truth. Will they break her? Or will she find the strenght and hope to continue walking among the hopeless?
Sanctus Castellum: Chronophobia
A small girl wandered out into the fields. Though, nothing bloomed there. What had once been a meadow of flowers was now a wasteland. But it didn’t matter to her. Not anymore. It had been to long since she had wandered outside of her home.
Flowers or no, she was glad to be outside again. Her smile shown like the brightest stars in the sky. The moon itself was not out that night, but she hoped it would be if she ever came out again.
She clutched her amulet around her neck. A small rose, to everyone it was a rose. But to her it was life. She never remembered taking it off. She remembered being told that it was very important that she keep it on. For what she didn’t know.
Shaking her head, she turned around to walk further through the meadow of Realms, when she heard a voice.
“Axis! What are you doing out here? So far away from Sanctus Castellum?”
The girl turned around and looked at her nanny. She smiled at Celeste. She had been her caretaker ever since she was born. Celeste looked at Axis.
“It’s such a shame you cannot talk. I’m sure you would have a lovely voice.” She stated. Axis felt a pang of hurt run through her system. Being “dumb” was an incredible sore spot for her. Her voice had never worked in her life. And her looks further outlasted her voice. A Soltian. A Soltian was a person who was….defected.
Her skin was white, her hair also. But her eyes were yellow. Like a cat’s. Slitted in the middle. No one she knew would willingly come close to her except for Celeste. It made Axis love her all the more.
“Come childe. We must go in now. The night isn’t safe for you moon childe.” She turned around and motioned Axis to follow her.
Axis nodded and followed. She had a name once…..She knew Axis was not her name. She forgot her name long time ago. It was taken away from her at a young age. But she could tell no one. Axis was the name she was given when she was found; it was all she had to own.
Obediently she followed Celeste into Sanctus. She paused for a second and looked back into the night. Wishing she was a star, and to be able to shine just as brightly.
‘Hurry Moon Childe. The dawn approaches. The high priests will be angry at me for letting you out!” Celeste took Axis’ hand and led her through the doorway. And shut the door.

Inside, Axis was getting ready for bed. Her staff lay next to her nightstand. The intricate weavings of wood were a treasure to her, much like her amulet. A bit more valuable though. There was a skull on the top of her staff. Hence, she named is Staff of Lost Souls. Axis believed that every time a person died, their souls were attracted to the staff because of the skull. She knew it was improper, thinking about death and all, but it was her fantasy. She would keep it.
She sat down on her bed, and wished for the millionth time that there was a window in her room. So she could gaze up at the stars above her head. The moon must have been out now, a pity that she would not be able to look at it. She remembered when she was only of 7 Suns and 4 moons, she would come out and look at the moon and stars all the time. Celeste had named her Moon Childe after she noticed.
It was time for her to sleep. And so she did.
