Alone

ALONE

Searching,
seeking that which I do not understand,
lonely,
oh so very very lonely,
roaming the empty passageways,
running through the halls of my mind,
looking for that which I can never find,
desperately holding on to the shattered peices of my heart,
frantically trying to keep it from withering away to dust,
feeling it slowly wilting away to nothing,
waking up in the night alone,
no one to hold,
no one to touch,
wishing,
wanting,
yearing,
for something that I can not name,
an intangible thing of which I can only dream,
my soul hollow and dark,
empty,
wanting this pain to end,
but still,
with a small bit of hope,
I go on,
Searching.
