The pride deep inside
I walked never knowing, I couldn’t see
That there was something I didn’t understand
Finally I knew things couldn’t always be planned
I noticed everyday,
When I turned away
Why my dreams seemed to come undone
Will they stand near my side?
Filling me with hope, filling me with pride?
I try to go beyond what I am,
I walk on the sun
When they tell me there more I need to be
Why cant I just be me
The women I am
If I was here if I was gone
The way I go on
Will I find I’m more then a piece of a plan?
And the tears of pain, and lack of joy
How is it that life can destroy
But I\'ve got that pride that’s deep inside
I walk on the sun
Despite what I need
I know somehow I still lead
With that pride I carry inside
I keep walking on this sun
