Solace
I searched for solace everywhere
But never did I find
A place to place my dreams in
A spot where I could cry
My comfort never came
I still wandered the Earth
Searching every somewhere
Hoping for rebirth
And then I found a sort of calm
When you ran into me
Wishing on a unborn star
That my dreams could be
So, I followed through with actions
Showing you I care
Even though another girl
Was the one that caught your stare
Another and another
Three, or maybe four
Knowing this about you
Not caring anymore
I knew he would never love me
Nor, I knew, would you
But, I needed solace
Even if you were see-through
I keep you in my sights now
Hoping that you’ll change
Maybe for the better
And come to me one day
