The Karate Chick

Selene walked into the karate school that she belonged to and bowed, \"Konnichiwa, Moutzingier-sama.\" Her long, red hair draped to the floor, then fluttered up when she stood.

\"Konnichiwa, Selene-chan. Ogenki desu ka?\" A tall, muscular man with short brown hair wearing a karate gea\' and a 2nd Degree black-belt reading \'Damian Moutzingier\' bowed off the mat and greeted his student.

\"Daijobu desu, domo. Anata wa?\" She set her bag down next to a long row of cubbies and unpacked a case of C.D.\'s from it. She desperately tried not to stare at her sensei. She secretley dreamt he would one day say something loving to her in Japanese, but she often dissmissed her thoughts as a childish crush.

\"Ii, domo.\" He chucked slightl
\"
\"You\'re getting better, Moutzingier-sama.\" She bowed onto the mat and placed a CD in a CD player, turning up the volume.

\"Domo arigato, Selene-chan.\" He rocked his head to the beat of a rock song playing from the stereo.

\"Do ishatamashite, Moutzingier-sama.\" Selene cranked up the volume. \"This is the song I picked for you, it\'s called \'Burn\' by 3 days grace. It\'s very you.\"

He was thourouly enjoying the song. \'She picked me my own song?\' was what he was thinking.

\"So, when is Stiyere-san getting here?\" She asked, walking towards him.

\"An hour or so. Come to think of it, you\'re earlier than ususal.\" He pretended he was drumming to the beat; he really liked this song.

\"That\'s because my mom had a chance to bring me here out of her \'busy scle\'le\'.\" She put a sarcastic tone on the last 2 words.

\"Oh, I see. Well, we might as well make ourselves useful and hang up these posters or Miss Stiyere will kill me.\" He chucked, handing her tumbtacks and 5 large, yellow banners sporting words such as \'Integrity\', \'Respect\', and \'Perserverance\'. He left the room, then emerged with a 6ft ladder. He put it in place and was about to climb up it when Selene stopped him.

\"I\'ll do it, you\'re afraid of hieghts, remember.\" He got down, but his better judgment forced him to argue.

\"What if you get hurt? I\do ido i-\" He was cut off by a finger to his lips.

\"Hush, I\'ll do it, it\'s better me than you, I see how nervous you get. Just hand me the posters.\" With no further protest from her sensei, Selene hung the posters up.

\"I REALLY like this song! You picked it just for me?\" He was mouthng the words.

\"Yes, you could say that. My favorite song for my favorite sensei!\" She smiled. If it were any other student, he would\'ve thought they were just saying that to prevent from getting push-ups, but Selene was different. Selene thought of him as a friend and a sensei.

\"Well, I have a song for you...\" He walked over to the CD player and replaced her disk with his own, but it was only when he pushed play that Selene realized her childish dreams may be real...
