Prologue
I wanted to portray the Xenomorphs as I think they are: not simply the mindless, cold-blooded killers they are usually seen as, but describing the hows and the whys of what they do, cold, calculating and full of primal instincts and urges to go with conscious thinking. I also wanted to portray the queen as having emotions, twisted and temperamental, and with high intelligence - there\'s also a little bit that is just me in there too. To write like that, you have to get into their heads, think like them - why do they do what they do? I wanted to dispel the \'evil\' aspect of them and make them more like a species just trying to survive against all odds....
....... or maybe I\'m just crazy, who knows?
