Love Hurts

Carsea found the blond alone, just as she\'d hoped, and at night, which was even better. She waited until the girl was far enough down the secluded street for her screams to be inconspicuous, and then she appeared.

“Hello,” Carsea said, an intended darkness in her voice.

The blond jumped in surprise and spun around. She seemed relieved to see it was just another young woman and not some dark stranger. She was very foolish.

“What’s wrong, did I startle you?” She paused for effect. “Well, that was my intention so I suppose I did a good job. You see Karen, I don’t like you very much.”

To Carsea’s delight, the blond was now looking increasingly scared. “How did you know my name?”

“I know a lot about you, a lot more than just your name. I know where you work, I know where you live, and I know you’re a little slut.”

Carsea had to suppress a giggle as she watched her prey try to decide if she was scared or pissed. She seemed to settle on pissed.

“I am not a slut! And you know what? You’re a freak! Get the fuck away from me!”

“I can’t do that Karen, because if I were to leave you alone I wouldn’t be able to kill you.”

“K-kill me?”

“Yes,” Carsea replied calmly. “I’m going to kill you. Well, really I just want to torture you, so you can see what you’ve done wrong and learn from your mistakes, but if I did that then I’m sure you’d run to the police.” She sighed. “So I’m afraid I’ll have to kill you. If it makes you feel any better, it really is ruining a bit of my fun knowing you aren’t going to live to remember me.”

Carsea began advancing menacingly, and the blond turned to run, but it was too late. It was always too late by the time they decided to try and get away. The blond screamed as she was slammed against the wall, Carsea’s hand clenched tightly around her throat.

“What have I ever done to you?” she pleaded.

“Not to me, to my friend. You see, you broke my best friend’s heart, you caused him a lot of pain. I don’t like seeing my best friend hurting, and therefore, I don’t like you.”

The blond gasped. “You’re Carsea, Brian’s friend.”

”And you’re a very observant little dead girl.”

Before a reply could be uttered, Carsea backhanded the blond, her ring causing a deep gash in the blonde’s cheek.

“You should think before you play with someone’s emotions,” Carsea growled. “Because you never know when that person will have vindictive friends.” She moved in close and licked the blood trickling down the other girl’s cheek. “And I am definitely vindictive.”

It was then that the blond began to cry, probably the single worst thing she could do.

Carsea looked at her in disgust. “Oh God, you’re going to cry now? What will crying get you? What has it ever gotten you?”

Still, the bldidndidn’t stop, if anything she cried harder.

Carsea rolled her eyes with a deep and heavy sigh, then preceded to effortlessly slam the blonde’s body repeatedly back up against the wall.

“Will. You. Please. Shut. The. Fuck. Up!” She said, every word punctuated by another slam.

Finally she threw the blond face first on the ground and planted one foot firmly between her shoulder blades. “Think of me as the redeemer. You did some very bad things, and now it’s time to reap what you sew.” She knelt down and grabbed the back of the blonde’s hair, pulling the increasingly bloody face up next to hers. “You are hearing me, right?” A weak nod followed.

Carsea studied her prey for a long while, and then spoke as if she had just came to some grand conclusion. “You know, you are a very ugly person on the inside, and to be honest I always thought you were kind of an ugly person on the outside too. But,” She ran a finger along the blonde’s bloodied lips. “I see you becoming more and more beautiful as the night drags on.”

“You’re sick,” the blond muttered through broken teeth.

Carsea got so close she could smell her victim’s blood. “That’s the beauty of it my dear, I am already well aware of that.” She pulled back. “Any reasoning you might have been able to do with me has disappeared. You are totally and completely fucked.”

Then, as if thiwereweren’t already bad enough for the young blond, Carsea began to laugh. Her laughing echoed off the bare walls of the building and cast an eerie chill to the atmosphere.

“Fucked! That’s something I’m sure you know a lot about. So tell me, how many men did you fuck while breaking Brian’s heart? Go ahead, be honest.”

“I didn’t fuck anybody,” the blond whined.

“Very bad call.” Carsea kicked her swiftly in the ribs with her boot, relishing the distinct cracking noise that followed. “Stop lying! I fucking hate liars!” She kicked the girl again. “And I really hate lying little sluts!”

It suddenly became apparent to Carsea that much more and the blond would start to lose consciousness. That would defeat the whole purpose, so instead she decided to give the harsh physical torture a tiny rest.

“Lay on your back bitch,” she said in a low growl. When met with no response she prodded now severely broken ribs with her toe. “Over! Now!”

“I can’t!” the blond sobbed. “why don’t you just kill me damnit!”

Carsea knelt back down and grabbed a hold of the blonde’s shirt, flipping her over in one easy motion. “Because you don’t deserve that.” She pulled a menacing looking knife from her bag and found great delight in the increased look of fear in her victim’s eyes.

“Now,” Carseid, id, and amused tone in her voice that couldn’t be disguised. “Do me a favor and admit you’re a dirty little slut.”

“No.”

“I’m genuinely shocked Karen. You really are a bundle of conflicting statements, aren’t you? One minute you want to die, and the next you defy me. Now,” she pressed the blade against the girl’s left breast. “Do as I say.”

Upon being met with silence, Carsea began to slowly drag the blade through the girl’s shirt and flesh. The pain must have been unbearable, judging by the girl’s screams. After Carsea had made a circle around one breast, she moved to the other. “Here’s your other chance. Admit it Karen.”

She got as far as pressing the blade against the girl’s right breast when the blond broke down.

“Alright, I’ll admit it!” She sobbed. “I’ve been stringing Brian along so I’ll have someone to fall back on if I don’t find something better.”

“And?”

“I… I am a slut. I’ve been sleeping around for months now.”

“See? Was that so hard?” Carsea asked, setting the knife aside.

She stood up, dusting off her hands and smoothing her shirt. She turned around to stretch, and for a moment it looked as if she was going to leave, giving the blond a spark of hope.

“Oh, there is one thing I forgot,” Carsea said, as casually as someone commenting on the weather.

All hope was lost as she quickly and dramatically swooped down to reclaim her knife. “Perhaps in your next life, you won’t make the same mistake.”

“And now more news is available on the yet unidentified corpse found Monday morning. Besides having the phrase ‘Love Hurts’ carved into her abdomen, it seems that the perpetrator had not just removed her eyes, but had actually removed them, and then replaced them in their sockets backwards. This was more than likely done while the victim was still alive.” The newscaster stated.

“Weird,” Brian mumbled.

Carsea smiled slightly. “Looks like whoever did it didn’t think they were a very nice person.”

“Probably,” Brian said with a shrug. “Eh, they probably deserved it anyway.”

“Yeah.” Carsea’s grin widened. “Probably.”
