Do You See Me?
Do you see me?
Do you?
I don’t think you do…
I think you see what you want to see,
Not me,
The one here, inside, the real me
You say to be honest?
Why won’t you see
I am not the shadows that haunt us.
It is just me,
Open to all our possibilities.
I over do, I throw myself in,
It’s the way I am.
I can’t change that,
Despite the pain it may bring.
To love another,
To touch someone’s heart,
To be touched in return,
To be wanted, even for a moment……..
That risk I’ll happily take.
Do you see me?
The me inside?
The one who loves you
No matter the costs?
I hope you do,
Or we are both lost…..
