Green
Green is the grass
And moss on a garden path
A place miles away from anywhere
In the mind’s eyes is green
Green is a natural colour
One of life and joy
Fresh runner beans and fat broad beans
Vegetable and life are green
Green is an apple
Sitting in a bowl
Grapes on a vine far away
Fruit I love is green
Green are the hills
In Andy Stewart’s song
The world after a storm
Is a shiny sparkling green
Grass on a garden path
Moth and imaginary lands
Joy, life, and vegetables
Fruits that I do love
The hills of home and happiness
All these things are green
