What do you see when you look at me?
A person, or an illness?
Do you see the girl in front of you?
Or only a pair of crutches?
What do you see when you look at me?
The girl with the purple hair
Big brown eyes. A happy wide smile
Or do you only see my crutches
Please don’t look at me with sympathy
Don’t offer me your pity
There’s not need to feel sorry for me
Why should you? I don’t…
I have feelings and emotions like everyone else
I love and I hate
I laugh and I cry
I work and study, play and sleep
Just because I have trouble walking
It doesn’t mean I’m stupid or incapable
