Author's Notes
This story began as a means of flexing my creative muscles while paying tribute to some of my favorite icons of fantasy and the mediums of literature, anime and--believe it or not--video game RPGs. As I am normally a reality-based fiction writer, my skills in this genre are as of yet unknown. That said, keep the following in mind:
-This was written with the intention of it being solely for my pleasure, and with absolute and blatant disregard to the guidelines widely regarded as the "rules" of fantasy-fic. My species inter-marry, they have whatever powers or skills I endow upon them, and artistic liberties are running rampant throughout this tale.
-While I do claim sole ownership to this story, its characters and the places involved, some of the character and/or location names were inspired by my various influences. That, however, is where all similarities end.
