She tells the story of how she met this girl named Kimberly online. they soon become best friends.
Kim also introduces Breana to James her cousin. They hit it off real well and talk over the net/phone
for quiet sometime, until Kim invites her to come visit them in New Zealand. Will it be a match made
in heaven or the trip from hell?
Dear Diary,
I remember in my last year of high school I was given a PC for my 18th birthday. I spent every
minute of my free time on it. Surfing the net and installing new programs. I taught myself how to use most
of the new software. It became my passion. All of my friends would call me up and ask how to install this or
what should they do to fix that. I was known as the handy man. Or in my case handy woman. I was proud
of the knowledge I knew. Most of my teachers kept trying to push me in the direction of student internships
to work with computers. I didn’t think I was that good so I never pursued them.
I wasn’t having a good day at school and I couldn’t wait to get home and surf the net. My friend Rachel called
me and told me about this Eminem chat room that was considered underground and only a few people knew
about it. So I decided to check it out for myself. It was the first time I actually thought about going into chat
rooms because I’ve always assumed they were for pedophiles and ignorant teens who were easily manipulated.
But I was wrong. Well of course I met a couple of weirdo’s, and then I met some people who just seemed to be
really cool. I soon took a liking to chatting online rather than on the phone. It was a way to express your true
self, without showing fla flaws (literally), as well as getting to know new people who just wanted to talk. I
loved it mainly because I didn’t have to impress anyone.
I could say what I wanted and it was sort of as if I were anonymous. And I wasn’t judged on appearances.
That made me think of it as being color blind and I respected it for that reason. If I ever felt uncomfortable
I could always tell them what I thought or I would just put those people on ignore mode and never have to
deal with them again. I made a lot of friends and they all had my “Back”, so whenever someone said anything
out of line to me all of my friends would jump on their case, or insult them until they would either apologize
or just leave. So in a sense my online friends became my real close friends, and I cherished them more than
the few friends I had at school.
I was always chatting when I wasn’t traveling with family or hanging out with friends. Even then on those trips
I found a computer and logged on just to see what was new. You could say I was turning into a computer geek
but I considered it being “social“. At times when I couldn’t get online I wasn’t a happy camper. Although it might
have only been for a day I felt as though I were being punished. There was this one time where a guy I was talking
to online told me about how hard it was for him and his family. He said he lived in Russia and he would love to come
to America and stay with me. I chatted with him for a week or two. I felt so bad for him. He would ask if I would send
a ticket for him to come out here but I would always just respond, “I would if I had the money”. I hated to lie because
he really seemed like he needed to get away. I remember I logged into the chat room under a different name and I saw
him talking to another person. Telling them how wonderful life was and how he would send money for them to come
visit him etc. I was “speechless” but I logged out and logged back in under my normal name and told him that I wished
him the best of luck in life and that was the last time I spoke to him. He kept asking why I left it at that but I never
gave a response. That was my first bad experience with online strangers. I did have a small amount of trust for this
guy, it faded quickly and I decided not to get attached so quickly. Well that’s all for today. Tomorrow I will write about
my best friend Kim and the love of my life James.
Dear Diary,
I’ve seen T.V. shows where people have met there soul mates online . I thought they were crazy.
Sometimes you find love in unexpected places. Which leads to the time when I met a girl named Kim online
who soon became my best friend, she introduced me to her cousin James, and the adventure of a lifetime.

Real shady: Hey Precious. Isn’t it true that Infinite is the best eminem song of all time?

And with that she emailed the host of the chat room and he had Mark permanently blocked from that chat server.
From that day on I spoke to her at least once a day. A year had passed chatting with Kim and we soon became best

my life and she told me about hers. She told me that she was 20 and that she was living with her cousin James in
New Zealand . One day she finally introduced me to her cousin James over the phone. It was strange at first you know,
speaking to some strange guy. But he turned out to be really cool, factfact we hit it off really well. Soon Kim started to
tell me how she was home sick and wanted to come back to California for few days. But I wont go into details over the
things we spoke about because that’s not important. Im just going to jump right into the day that changed my life.
“So Ana I was thinking about coming out to California for a few days. I miss that crazy place. The beaches and the men. Girl how are they these days.?”
“Well kim
