What\'s it like to be normal?
I wouldn\'t know
I\'ve always asked myself that question
But I never really understood what the answer would be

I\'ve never been normal
Always the one with her head in a book
Hearing snickers and feeling stares
From the people who I thought were my friends

I\'ve never felt normal
Always felt alone
But was always told that I had something to prove

I\'ve always been asked if I had a dream
A goal that I alays wanted to strive for
I\'ve never had a dream---well, one worth saving anyway

I\'ve never acted \"normal\"
Or should I say, like a normal \"girl\" would
Putting on make-up, and acting so prim and proper wasn\'t for me

Trying to fit in with everyone just seemed like such a waste
I guess, to me, being an outcast isn\'t so bad.
