Life of a Phoenix
Life of a Phoenix
Author\'s Notes: Well, this is my infamous work, that
even now I\'m still working on, called Life of a Phoenix. In short, it\'s about
Aryun and how she actually ends up with Erdric at the end for the Wedding Rite.
^-^ It starts out pretty slow, I think, but soon, in the next few chapters,
it\'ll start to pick up. And no lemons in the first 20 some odd chapters, after
that, things can get a little heavy. ^^ *firm believer of sex magic* ^-^ Anyway!
Review and tell me what you think of it.
~ Cat AKA Aryun
The land was in a hush, and the sunset painted it in
violet and burgundy hues. The only thing that could be heard was the soft
chirping of birds that were settling down to sleep, and the crackle of fire. A
young woman stood on an outcrop of rock, looking down into the valley below. Her
eyes were focused upon a particular aspect within the valley. Her eyes shone in
the light left in the sky, and that of the fire that was blazing below.
Her eyes were wild and feral, as if she was
more animal than n atn at the moment. Which was probably the case. Her parched
lips moved, and the fast dimming sun lit the bruises and cuts upon her delicate
features. She looked untamed, and untouchable, very primitive looking.
“I’m glad they are dead. I’m glad for all
that I’ve done this day here. No longer shall I have a home... My home was gone
the moment fathfather” murdered my brother...” With that said, she spat on the
ground at her feet, and walked over to where a pack lay bundled. Everything from
her childhood that she wished to keep, those few happy memories that she did
have, would always be kept safe with her.
She shouldered her bag and her sword, and
walked away from the inferno. She never looked back again...

Several years later, well, actually more
like several thousand years later, one world went through a cataclysmic event.
No one would have ever thought that the destruction of a kingdom in a far off
world would have any consequence to those who fought on this small one, but it
would, and it changed the lives of the two intricately involved. This is that
story. . . Of Love, Hope, Life, Death and Betrayal... A Betrayal so deep, and a
death so shocking that it shattered the soul of the one who had become reborn
through fire...
