Prologue
\" Oh Mother, it\'s beautiful!\" Prince Akiru, of the kingdom Jade, gently held the medallion that his mother, Queen Elyisa, had handed him. The queen chuckled at her only child\'s delight as she watched him slip the chain over his head.
\" Yes, little one, it is. And now that your 12, it\'s your right to have it.\" Elyisa commented as she reached up and smoothed Akiru\'s hair back. Akiru smiled toothily at his mother, his hazle eye\'s shineing. About that time, sounds of screams reached the royal chambers and the doors slammed open, one of the knights standing there with a slightly panicked look on his face.
\" Your majesty!\" The knight knelt quickly in front of the queen and her son. \" He did, he has declare was against you.\" Elyisa frowned then closed her eyes and sighed before standing.
\" Jacob, make sure the Prince and the other young ones get safely out of the castle.\" The queen requested. The knight, Jacob, nodded then tapped his chest before standing.
\" Come my prince, we must leave.\" Akiru looked back at his mother as Jacob lead the 12-year-old out of the room ala secret passage. Along the way, the two ran into one of the castle\'s servant that was leading a group of children, turning to find a safe place for them.
\" Prince Akiru!\" one of the older children broke away from the group and ran up to the blond prince, quickly hugging the smaller teen. Jacob told the servant to take the prince plus his bond and personal servant, Kajuu, who had just released his master, blushing heavily, out of the castle e ane another servant took the other children. The servant took the two pre-teens down to the stables, snagging one of the carts and had the two get in the back. As the cart drove away from the castle, Akiru looked back, very worried for his mother. Kajuu wrapped an arm around the smaller blond.
