Expectations and Realizations
Don\'t come to me with expectations
Of who you think I should be
From some past when
You were going through changes
I am not your friend who left you all those years ago
I am not that \"woman\" who pretended to love you, and managed
to let it go.
Don\'t think that I will waste my time slaving over a stove, waiting for you to come home.
For I too have priorities, I too have a life of my own.
Don\'t think that I\'m not loving, if all I want to do is talk.
Because if you don\'t like it: There\'s the door, you can walk.
I will always be by your side, through whatever, thick and thin.
But just because we have a fight, doesn\'t mean that you will always win.
All I want is to be with you, to be your girl and nothing more
But if I\'ve said it once, I\'ll say it again:If you don\'t it, it, there\'s the door.
