My brothers and I always went to the woods after school. We meet this boy there. His name is Jake, and he’s eighteen years old. Jake has a rare disease. This illness looks like some kind of clay on his face. And it was only on his face. I know that if he didn’t have that stuff, that he would be handsome. Oh, my name is Jesse and I’m seventeen years old and my brothers Jason and Joe who are twin are ten. When we started to go over his house we had lots of fun. I mine we still do.
One day we where on our way over to his house. We were a little late. My brothers had detention from school.
“Come on guys were late s it is.” Jake’s house is deep in the woods. Then we finally got there the twins were out of breath. His mother comes and always opens the door for us. I have never seen his dad. But I know he has one, cause I heard has voice a couple of times. We walked into his room. He was sitting on His bed waiting for us.
“What took you so long?” Jake said.
“The twins” I said. Jake made his other room a playroom for my brothers. The twins ran into the other room and we sat on his bed. Jake knows that I love him. And he loves me, too.
“Why do you love me...with a face like this?”
“Jake you always ask me that, and I always tell you that it is what’s inside a person. Not what that person looks like.”
“I know, but still”
“Still nothing” and then he kissed me. That wasn’t my first kiss. We kiss before. But what was special about, it was that it was my first French kiss. Then my brothers came in.
“So Your in love” Jason and Joe say at the same time.
“Oh shut up,” Jesse said. We got off the bed and went to the playroom. And we started to play with the toy he bought for my brothers. We played for a while, but now it’s time to go home.
“I’ll meet you outside, O.K.” I said to my brother.
“O.K.” and they ran out the door. When the door close behind them I look at Jake.
“Well I have to go now” I kissed Jake good-bye and left. Then I ran out of the house.
“Jason, Joe hurry up. We’re going to be late again” and we ran all the way home. When we got home mom and dad were waiting for us.
“Where have you’ve been” mom asked.
“At Jake’s house” my brothers said.
“Didn’t I tell you that not to go over there anymore.”
“Yes, but...”
“No, buts know all of you go to you room.”
My brothers and I walked up the stairs. Our house has only two bedrooms. So we shared a room.
“I have to see Jake,” I said.
“But you heard what mom said.”
“I know”
“But still”
“You love him, right.”
“Yes, I do and nobody is going to stop me from loving him.”

The next day I couldn’t wait to go to his house. In school this boy I now for a long time came up to me.
“Hi Jesse”
“Hi Danny”
“So, what’s up with you”
“Oh, Nothing much. How are you”
“Fine, Jesse I wanted to ask you something”
“Ya, go ahead” and then the bell rang.
“Jesse would you go on a date with me”
“Oh Danny”
“Don’t answer now think about it” and he ran off. I didn’t go to class. I just walked around that period. After school I walk to Jake’s house.
“How am I going to do this.” All of a sudden Jason and Joe were running toward me. There was this big kid chasing them. I stopped walking and waited for them, They ran behind me and I look right at that big kid.
“Hey, stop chasing my brothers” he came right up to me.
“Who’s going to make me, sweetheart” I looked into his eyes. “Well, honey” and then Danny comes out of a house.
“What’s going here?” he said.
“Nothing, I’m just talking to her brothers”
“It doesn’t seen like it.” The kid just turned around and walked away. I turned around and stared at my brothers.
“What did you do to him”
“Nothing just throw a rock at him”
“ Why did you do that”
“Cause he was picking on my friend and so I said something and I throw the rock”
“Smart move, Jason” and I turn to Danny. “Thanks for that”
“Oh it’s O.K.” and he handed me a rose.
“Oh it’s beautiful, thank you” and I give him a kiss on the check.
“Boy, your welcome. If I now that you were going to give me a kiss for one rose I would have bought a hundred”
“I have to go now”
“Can I walk you home”
“I’m not going home”
“Well were are you going then”
“For a walk”
“Can I go with you”
“Ah, I really want to be alone”
“Your not mad are you”
“No, but since I can’t walk with you can I at least call you”
“O.K.” I walk away, I did walk faster but then I walk little bet slowly.
“Jason, Joe I’ll meet you at home O.K.”
“But why” Jason said.
“Cause I say so” they just look at me and ran on home. I love Jake and he love’s me. Even though he has that stuff on his face. I still love him. When I finally say his house I ran to the door and knocked on it. His mother came to the door. She just looked at me and opened it up wade. I walk right passed her and went to Jake’s room. Open the door. Jake was setting on a big chair facing the window. I walked over to him. I looked at him. Jake didn’t have that stuff on his face. I just stared at him.
