The Transfer of Power within the Midnight Temple

Chapter 1

\'Hello to all of you\' said a voice. Not one of the six teens could see who was the speaker. The three girls stood next to each, as did the three boys. \'I see I have made some of you skittish.\' said the voice. Two of the three girls started shaking uncontrolably. The one girl not shaking or trembling rolled her eyes at the two girls. Only one of the three guys was trembling but all of them look unsettled. \'Come now,\' said the voice,\' I\'m not someone who should be feared.\'

\"Yeah right\" said one of the shaking girls.
\"Shut up, C. There\'s nothing to be afraid of.\" said the only girl not shaking.
\"But Jes,\" sta C, C, \" We broke into his house the guy might call the police.\"
\"She has a point, Jes,\" said on of the guys.
\"He won\'t call the police,\" said Jes,\" because he\'ll go down with us. No body should be in this house in the first place. Besides there\'s no phone so unless he has a cell we got nuttin to fear.\"


The guy who had spoken said,\" And how the hell do you know this huh, Jes?\"
Jes look at the guy, \" Well, first of all, Jack we came here with a job to do;so unlike you idoits i did some background. The Boss is an idoit as well sending the six o to to sweep out an empty house.\"
\"Shut up.\" said Jack.
\'Now children,\' said the voice, \'Don\'t be mad at one another. Jes is telling the truth when she said no one should be here. But see that\'s the whole point in why I\'m here because no one is suppose to be here.\'
\"OH, SHIT!!\" shouted another guy. \"He must be a fucking mobster or something.\"


\"Jesus, shut up, Zac. If he is a mobster we got more training in fighting then he does. And their\'s six of us only one of him.\" said Jack.
\"We don\'t know that for sure, Jack\" said lastlast unidentifed trembling girl.
\"Yeah we do, Meg,\" said Jack soften toward her,\" If there were more then they\'d proably be talking to.\"


\'Ahhh,\' said the voice,\'Jack is also smart. But sadly he will be wrong very soon. My brethen should be arriving in a matter of hours or minutes.\'
The only guy who hadn\'t said anything look around him. He was different from the rest of the six. This was the first job any one of them had with him. So they didn\'t know anything about him. But unlike the look of unsettlement he had before he now look calm and he had a look of anticapation like he knew somethnonenone of the others knew. Jes notice this look and when the guy notice Jes staring at him he put his look of unsettlement back on. Jes
knew there was something up with this guy.

\"Arland?\" ask C. \"Do you know anything about this place because its obvisiohat hat no one expect Jes knows anything and we already know she won\'t tell us anything. The stupid bitch.\"
\"C...\" said Jes in an warning tone. Jes was the bad ass all knowing kind of person. The Boss had chosen her specifically for this assiment of course she didn\'t understand why. All they were doing was sweeping a house. It wasn\'t like there was security issues\' or anything. A rookie would be able to sweep this place in under an hour tops.

She figured it had something to do with Arland. But according to the Boss Arland had been with him as long as she had. Something she couldn\'t understand because she knew everyone she just met Arland a week ago when he told her the assiment. Not trusting him she went to the Boss who told her the same thing.
\"No,\" repiled Arland,\" I proably know as much as you.\"
Lie thought Jes. That was a total lie.
