It was a while before Halden fell ill again, but he did, and it started to occur more frequently.
It was these times when Delmir became brave again, and would sneak down to see the little slave.
Maesha sat rigidly in his lap as Delmir stroked his arm.
“Don't worry Maesha. I am almost a man. Things will change.”
