Warnings: I hate to spoil it but you should all be warned. Not sure how to categorize it other than body manipulation/hermaphrodite. ----------------------------- Bion woke with a groan. This morning the sound wasn’t one of pleasure but of pain. He was quite sore from their very intense loving the past few days. But the heat was over, he could tell just by sniffing the air. Both of their bodies were sated and through with the intense desire to mate. Now Bion was suffering the after affects. In his heat he had been so horny, so focused on satisfaction he hadn’t paid attention to how it felt on his body. In fact he had been a little numb for the whole thing, which made it easier for Dazbog to take him over and over in the many new positions they had discovered for sex. He laid there, his ass burning and his muscles aching, and Bion somewhat regretted it. Not that he would ever regret their mating. The fact that they had had sex nearly non stop and he hadn’t done anything to slow it down, though, he was going to regret that. At least until his body healed. Maybe this was why males mating didn’t happen. Even though the sex felt good their bodies couldn’t handle the stress of a heat. Another groan passed his lips and he rolled onto his side, curling up and pulling two more pelts on top of his body. Bion mewed as he shifted, trying to relieve the ache. His ears twitched when he heard sounds from the kitchen, and he focused on that so as not to think about the soreness of his overly loved body. It sounded like Dazbog was cooking, judging by the smell of meat and spices in the air and the sound of the wolf’s quiet curses as he burnt himself. Bion gave a little smile at that. As hard as Dazbog tried he wasn’t that great of a cook. He made edible meals but he usually made a mess in the process, resulting in little burns staining his hands as he was too eager for food to take his time and be careful. Another thing about his mate that Bion loved. He listened intently, and focusing on that kept his mind off of the burning of his ass. Bion could just picture Dazbog out there, frowning at the soup he made as it continued to cook slowly, burning his fingertips repeatedly as he dipped a finger in to test if the food was ready instead of using a spoon. It was a cute picture and Bion giggled as he thought about it. Moments later the smell of soup filled the bedroom and he looked up at his mate who had come into the room with the pot of soup and two bowls, setting it all down on stone floor next to the pelts. Dazbog climbed in next to Bion, handing him a bowl of the meal so sweetly that Bion forgot about any pain he felt to sit up and nuzzle Dazbog’s face. He got a happy growl in response and they were suddenly kissing softly and gently. Their lips stroked together, tongues lapping at each other’s smiles. Bion was never going to grow tired of this wonderful wolf, he just knew it. They ate quietly, curled up together against some stacked pelts so they were sitting up as they sipped at the filling soup. Bion’s tail was trapped wrapped around Dazbog’s thighs, the wolf’s own fluffy tail curled around his back and that extra support relieved the ache from his lower back and the pressure on his groin. Together they finished off the soup, both eating at least six or seven bowls, their bodies ravenous after the intensity of their heat which leaves all Carnivore’s bodies drained and tired. Though Bion thought they should warn about the soreness too in school when youngsters are first taught about the mechanics of sex and their heat. Suddenly Bion was hit with such an intense pain that gripped the bottom of his body, centered around his groin. He gave a yowl and curled up, muscles tense and hands clutching the fur pelts in a white knuckled grip. Bion screamed and groaned in pain, panting harshly through his mouth. Dazbog startled at the sound of his pain. His wolf jumped up and bent over him, whimpering a bit at each sound he made and nuzzling him. “Bion…Kitten, what’s wrong,” Dazbog growled, kissing his cheeks that were stained with tears he hadn’t realized were falling. Bion shook his head, breathless from pain, unable to speak. He just shouted in agony, wanting it to go away. It felt like his groin was on fire as someone clawed into his body, tearing him apart. It was torture and Bion wiggled around, trying to relieve the pain but it wouldn’t go. It stayed powerfully intense. Dazbog stared at him helplessly, hands hovering over his body and Bion wished distantly that he could nuzzle his mate to wipe away that fearful look on his handsome face. The wolf knelt above him, looking lost and distraught, giving an unhappy growl every time Bion whimpered in pain. Then he remembered, somewhere in the back of his mind, all of the tea he had found in the storage room, and one leaf in particular that was a strong pain killer. He had to tell Dazbog, had to get his mate to make the tea because Bion wasn’t sure how much more he could take. He breathed harshly through his nose, squeezing his eyes shut for a moment, trying to compose himself just a bit so he could tell Dazbog what he needed the wolf to do. Bion reached out a trembling hand, gripping onto his mate’s fingers tightly, looking up to the wolf with teary eyes. “There’s a tea Daz…one that,” he paused to tense in agony as a shooting pain ran up his back, giving a little scream at the feeling. “It eases pain Daz…please get it.” His mate was up and running in a heartbeat, returning to the room with all of the boxes of teas they had, none of which they had used yet. Dazbog still looked a little panicked but he also looked determined as he set the boxes down, riffling through them and pulling out a single leaf of each of the different kinds of tea they had. Dazbog held the leaves close to Bion's face. “Which one kitten, which one takes away pain,” Dazbog murmured quietly. Bion tried to focus, his eyes blurry with tears and pain but he saw the leaf, and he shakily lifted a hand and touched it before he curled up in pain. His shoulders trembled as he tried to hold in his sobs. Dazbog was out the door in a heartbeat, taking all of the tea with him but holding the one Bion had pointed to with a hard look on his face, looking like he wanted to kill someone for making Bion suffer so and he gave a little smile at that. Bion really was lucky to have Dazbog as his mate. It seemed to take forever for the wolf to return with the tea, though Bion knew it was only because Dazbog had to boil water and find the tea kettle and mugs they had. His mate knelt next to his body when he returned to the room with a steaming mug of strong smelling tea. Dazbog slipped one arm under his back to lift him into a slightly sitting position so he didn’t choke while the wolf’s other hand held the tea, brining it to his lips. Bion sipped at the hot liquid slowly, moaning at the burn of it on his tongue. Almost immediately as the drink sank into his body the sharp agonizing pain seemed to fade away. Not completely though, it still lingered as a throb but it was much more bearable than before. When Bion finished the tea he relaxed against Dazbog’s chest in fatigue, huffing and puffing. Blinking his eyes slowly, the last of his tears dropped onto his mate’s bare chest. He was laid back down when the tea was done, his body boneless and languid in the aftermath. Dazbog leaning over Bion and nuzzled his neck. His mate set aside the empty mug and climbed into bed next to him, wrapping Bion up in his sweet, strong embrace. His aching body was cuddled gently, his hair stroked as Dazbog licked up the last of his tears. Bion sighed at the treatment, relaxing into the warm body next to him. “Thank you, Daz,” he whispered, voice a little hoarse, pressing his nose right where his mate’s heart was, soothed by the strong beats. “You shouldn’t thank me,” Dazbog whispered back, holding him a little tighter. “Hmm…why do you say that, you got that tea for me,” he replied, looking up at his mate in confusion but the wolf refused to look at him, staring off over his head a little sadly. “But…I did this to you…didn’t I?” Bion pulled away a bit, lifting a tired hand and stroking Dazbog’s face, giving a sad little meow when his mate didn’t look at him. He leaned up and gave a soft kiss to the bottom of Dazbog’s chin. “I don’t think so Daz. This isn’t just soreness from our heat. This is different,” he murmured, whimpering and trying to find his mate’s eyes. Dazbog finally looked down at him, blue eyes dark in melancholy as the wolf nuzzled his cheek. His mate didn’t respond to Bion’s reasoning, probably not believing it. Bion couldn’t blame him, because even he didn’t understand what was going on. For all he knew Dazbog could have done something to make this happen, but Bion wasn’t going to blame his wolf. They may both be at fault, or maybe this was just a natural reaction, since males never mated, even if they had sex. This could be a reaction to their mating. Bion couldn’t be sure, though. All Bion could do was curl into Dazbog’s chest and hope that the pain went away and whatever was happening to his body would stop so they could go back to loving one another and not worrying about anything except how much food they had left and not about why Bion was suddenly in such agonizing pain. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dazbog paced in the den, stopping periodically to glance into the bedroom where Bion was curled up in a fitful sleep under a mass of furs. He should be in there trying to keep his young mate warm but he could barely stand to be there. Not because he didn’t want Bion anymore. No, even though his heat was gone it didn’t mean his love and lust for the leopard hadn’t faded. In fact his feelings stayed just as strong. The problem was that he worried he would hurt Bion again. He had to be the one responsible for the kitten’s pain; he just couldn’t see any other alternative. Dazbog must have done something in the thick of his heat to hurt Bion in some way, to set off this extraordinary pain. It had been shocking and terrifying when Bion had collapsed in screams of agony earlier that day. Dazbog had been so scared and confused. The pain written over Bion’s face made him think it was something much more serious than being sore from sex. He had gotten up that morning before his little mate, wanting to make him some breakfast and then they could just lie around that day and recuperate from their heats. Instead Bion was writhing in agony and Dazbog couldn’t blame anyone but himself. Could this be why males were not allowed to mate one another, because the alpha ended up killing the beta because their bodies just weren’t designed to be together? It didn’t seem fair. Their love was so pure and strong. Surely Luna wouldn’t bring them together just to do tear them apart. Their bond was so strong, being born from love and trust, not thrust upon them by parents or society. They were together on their own free will, and even if they were both male that doesn’t mean their love should be punished. Love was sacred and pure, surely their Gods wouldn’t punish them even if their brethren would. He ran a frustrated hand through his hair, staring at Bion who whimpered in his dreams. Dazbog never wanted to see his kitten hurting because of their love. If someone needed to be punished for their sinful relationship then let it be Dazbog, not his wonderful Bion. He huffed in frustration, resuming his pacing. A part of him wanted to run out to Bear colony that was nearby and bring back Nanuq, the colony's doctor, to fix Bion. But Dazbog couldn’t risk leaving his little mate alone, especially with that coyote nearby. He couldn’t leave. Dazbog was just going to have to hope that it wasn’t anything too serious and that the tea would help. Speaking of which he should make some more tea while Bion slept, so there would be some on hand for his mate to drink if the pain came back. Dazbog turned into the kitchen, going straight for the multiple leaves he had laid out, crunching them up and putting them into the tea kettle he had filled with hot water. Then he hung that kettle over the fire to keep it warm, keeping a strainer near by so he could pour the tea without the leaves getting into the mug. He heard a soft meow, his mate calling for him and Dazbog returned to the bedroom to find Bion looking around in confusion. When his mate saw him the leopard relaxed in relief. Dazbog went to his mate, stroking the kitten’s face and tail, kissing his cheeks. “Are you still in pain,” he asked quietly. Bion nodded a little, resting against Dazbog's chest. “Just a little. The tea helps…but I’m really cold, I can’t get warm,” his mate whispered, curling closer to him as his body shivered. Dazbog sighed and hugged Bion close to his chest, stroking his cool back, wishing he could keep the leopard warm but feared his body heat wouldn’t be enough, since Bion still shivered in his embrace. They stayed wrapped around one another as Dazbog tried to think of someway to help. Dazbog picked Bion up, ignoring his mate’s cute little squeak of surprise as he took him to the bath tub. Dazbog gently set his confused leopard down, quickly gathering up the softest pelts and blankets to build a little nest in the tub. Then he lit the coals beneath the stone tub. He grabbed Bion and tucked his mate into the warmth, stroking behind the leopard’s ears as Bion settled down. Bion gave a loud purr and burrowed down until Dazbog could only see his kitten’s pointed ears. He gave a smile, thankful he managed to do something that helped his mate even if he still blamed himself in the first place for the leopard’s pain. He sat himself next to the tub, stroking at his mate's hair. “Do you need more tea,” he asked, smiling a little when Bion sweetly peaked out from his protection of blankets. His mate nodded and as he stood to get it a slim hand shot out and grabbed his wrist, pulling his attention back down to his suffering mate. Bion was blushing and smiled up at him, even as his face grimaced in pain that the strong tea couldn’t cover up. “Could you read to me too Daz? You’re voice is very soothing to me,” his kitten said sweetly. Dazbog felt a reluctant flush stain his cheeks at the compliment and he nodded, watching as Bion relaxed at his answer and covered himself once more in the covers. The corner of Dazbog's mouth twitched in affection and he went to pour a new cup of the tea. As he returned, Dazbog picked up the book they currently read together, something they hadn’t done since before their heat. The tea he gave Bion was quickly gulped up and his kitten let out a relieved sigh. The wrinkles of pain on his forehead fading and his body collapsed in the warm, empty bathtub. Dazbog gave a sigh as well, ever so thankful he had that tea and Bion knew about it, because he knew he couldn’t have taken much more of that morning when Bion was writhing in agony for unknown reasons. That was unbearable. Things were okay now, though. Dazbog pulled his woodworking bench over to the side of the tub and opened the book, starting a new chapter. One of his hands slipped in to stroke Bion’s head, just to make sure his leopard was alright as he read quietly. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Bion was hoping this wasn’t going to be a permanent thing but after a whole day and waking up the next morning now with the same pain he worried he would have to live with this. He was still in the bathtub, heated by the coals beneath it where Dazbog had tenderly put him yesterday after he had complained about being cold. Bion hadn’t realized he was cold until the tea lessened the pain in his body and he realized he was freezing just as much as he was in pain. This bathtub, though, warm and enclosed and so comfortable, was doing a grand job of keeping him warm. He stared up at the ceiling above as he blinked his eyes, adjusting to the new day. He traced the shadowy patterns on the wood painted by the fire, listening to the howling of the wind outside and the soft snores of his mate. Snores? Bion frowned a bit at that and sat up as best he could, looking over the side of the bathtub to find Dazbog curled up on his side next to where Bion lay on the outside of the tub. The wolf wore nothing but a simple pair of leather pants and shirt, the book they had been reading clutched in one of his hands. The silly wolf was going to get sick if he didn’t care for himself. Shifting around Bion managed to dislodge one of the large furs wrapped around his body, tossing it over the side and rather unsuccessfully covered Dazbog in the warmth. The wolf seemed to appreciate it though because he relaxed more, huffing quietly and curling up under the soft covering. Bion smiled and watched his mate, reaching down and scratching one of the wolf’s ears. He wondered how long Dazbog had stayed up watching over him. Bion sighed in exasperation and affection at the thought. Dazbog was so attentive to him, but not so attentive to himself. The wolf really should be taking care of himself as well. Maybe that was why Bion was here, because he tended to not take care of himself either. If they were together they could take care of one another. He stretched a bit in the tub, wincing as the pain started to return. Bion peeked out of his temporary bed again but this time looked toward the kitchen, where the kettle of pain killing tea sat heated over the fire. He needed to get that tea soon before the pain grew too intense, but he didn’t want to disturb Dazbog who needed his sleep…which meant Bion had to get up. Biting back a whimper Bion stood up, keeping two pelts wrapped around his body. He walked slowly to the kitchen, holding in his moans of pain as he continued to walk. Once close enough he poured himself some of the tea, purring and drinking it all, ignoring the burning of his tongue as the liquid seeped into his body and calmed the pain. Bion sighed and set his mug away, wrapping the pelts tighter around him as he turned to return to the bathtub. A solid, muscled chest blocked his way and he looked up into the angry eyes of his mate. Bion yipped as he was swiftly picked and carried back to his make-shift bed in the tub, though he was handled tenderly compared to the murderous look in Dazbog’s eyes. He was tucked in, wrapped up tight so he could barely move and then his mate finally spoke. “Don’t do that again. If you need something, just ask me,” Dazbog growled, seeming more frustrated than angry as he wiped the last of the sleep from his eyes. Bion rolled his eyes and relaxed into the tub, giving a little huff and turning away. “I didn’t want to wake you,” he whispered, feeling just as frustrated as his mate looked. This pain wasn’t doing much for their relationship, judging by the fact they were both mad at one another right now. Dazbog because Bion was trying to take care of himself and Bion because Dazbog was smothering him a bit. It didn’t make for a comfortable atmosphere in the den and Bion glared at the fire beside the tub he lay in, ears flat to his head in anger. He just wanted this pain to be gone, so they wouldn’t be fighting. All Bion wanted to do was to lay around with Dazbog, wasting away the days until spring came, not worrying over something they didn’t understand. Suddenly Dazbog’s face was before his own, looking apologetic. Bion sighed and reached out a hand and stroked his mate’s cheek, feeling his own frustration fade. They shouldn’t get mad at one another for something they couldn’t control, they had each other, and that counted for a lot. “Will you lay with me Daz,” he asked quietly. His wolf nodded and after grabbing their book he slid into the tub. He curled tight against Bion’s back and held him close. Bion smiled and laced the fingers of one of their hands together, absently comparing the appendages to one another as he felt Dazbog fall asleep against him like Bion knew he would. He felt his own eyes close in response and Bion drifted off, lulled to sleep by his mate’s quiet snores, the cackling of the fires and the howling of the wind. His wintertime lullaby. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dazbog crouched over the bathtub, his ears twitching in worry as his little kitten mewed and groaned in pain. It was now the third morning after their heat and Bion had woken up once more in pain, but this time the tea could barely cover it up. It had him worried of course, but what had him trembling in fear was the smell. The smell of blood. The scent was thick and heavy in the air now, and it came from his little Bion. They had both woken to the smell that morning. Both of them were still curled together in the tub with their thighs covered in a thin layer of blood. Bion had shoved him out of the tub immediately, curling up and moaning in pain. Dazbog tried to help, tried to see where his little mate bled so he might patch him up. Bion just hissed at him, swatting away his soft touches and curling up deeper into the blankets covering his lithe body. So here he was, unable to do a thing to help his Bion. He made tea, and breakfast, but nothing allowed him close enough to his mate to see the problem. All Dazbog could do now was wait, and pray to every God he knew that Bion survived whatever this was and that they could be happy together. He paced the room, circling the tub. Dazbog's nose twitched at the heady, sweet scent of Bion’s blood and sweat as tail swished anxiously as he worried over what he should do. The hours passed, broken only as Dazbog prepared food for the two of them and fetched Bion more and more tea. His mate was still distant though, not curling into his touches like usual. Bion was even shying away from his touch, hands buried between his thighs where Dazbog could only suspect that the blood was originating from. Bion had already soaked one of their towels and now had another one between his legs as his kitten mewed in pain. Dazbog finally sat down on the floor, right next to the tub. He watched Bion’s twitching ears over the rim of the tub as he stoked the fire closest to them, adding a few more logs so they could stay warm. Dazbog must have dosed off though, for how long he didn’t know, but he found Bion leaning over the side of the tub and gently shaking his shoulder, calling his name. Bion's face and eyes were more open now, his sweet golden orbs looking at Dazbog closely. He shot up from his slumped over the position against the tub. Dazbog stood up and leaned over his mate, stroking his kitten’s face, smiling in relief when Bion purred and nuzzled into his hands. Relief flooded his system as Dazbog looked at his leopard. Bion's face was no longer pinched in pain, his eyes no longer hooded in melancholy and his chest was emitting sounds of pleasure, not pain. Dazbog was helpless to stop himself from leaning down and kissing his kitten hard. Their lips pressed tight and tongues sweetly tasted like they hadn’t done this in days, which was actually the case. His lips tangled with his leopard’s, his own chapped and hard but Bion’s lips ever soft and yielding to his demands. Suddenly the last few days had not happened and they were in the honeymoon phase of their mating, where their love was hot and their bodies hotter. As Dazbog started to maneuver his way into the bathtub so he could touch every sweet inch of Bion’s body his mate stopped him with a soft meow and a push to his shoulders. His libido calmed at his mate’s shy visage and he huffed in affection and annoyance at himself. Bion had been hurting these past few days; Dazbog needed better control over himself. “Is the pain gone,” he asked quietly, returning his wandering hands to stroke Bion’s face, tracing soft lines and softer skin. Bion nodded, nuzzling his hands with a purr. “I woke up about an hour ago and the pain was gone…” his mate trailed off though, looking away from him shyly. “Is something wrong kitten,” he asked, drawing his mate’s eyes back to him with gentle rubbings under Bion’s chin. His mate stared at him for a moment, seeming to think about what he would say. Bion gave a little shake of his head. His leopard reached out for Dazbog, touching his chest and shoulders, his fingers reverently touching Dazbog’s skin for the first time in days. “I want to take a bath Daz,” Bion whispered. Dazbog growled softly in affection and gently lifted Bion from the tub, sparing a glance at the bloody towel left behind. He lay Bion down in front of a fire, a firm hand on the kitten’s shoulder telling his lover not to move. He set about preparing a bath. The coals beneath the tub were still lit so it was just a matter of removing the pelts and blankets within and filling it with water. It didn’t take long, just a few minutes, most of which he spent wrapped protectively around Bion as they waited for the tub to fill and heat up. Bion was placed ever so gently into the tub, watching as the red from between his mate’s legs slowly transferred to the water. Dazbog stayed on the outside of the tub though; no matter how much he wanted to sink in behind Bion and never let his little kitten go. He fetched their soaps and sponges, gently lathering one up and stoking it over Bion’s back after his mate dunked his head to get his long hair wet. His leopard quickly grabbed another sponge and Dazbog watched in curiosity as Bion quickly pushed the sponge between his legs, mewing as he did so, his shoulder’s hunched. “Kitten, are you sure you’re alright,” he asked softly. Bion glanced over his shoulder at him, face shined with water and firelight, big golden eyes glowing softly in the dim light of the room. His mate nodded, leaning back just enough to nuzzle him. “I’m not in any more pain, but,” here Bion looked down into the water and Dazbog looked to but could see nothing but their reflections in the murky water. “Something happened I think. That pain I had…I think it was because something was happening to my body.” “Like what Bion? What’s happened?” Dazbog tried to slip a hand into the water but Bion swatted him away again with barely a glance. “I don’t know Daz…just…I’m different now,” Bion trailed off into a whisper, sitting still in the warm water. Then Dazbog watched as Bion quickly cleaned him self, before jumping from the water and drying off. Dazbog stood back, understanding Bion was trying to tell him something important, but knowing his lover needed space to feel comfortable to do so. His mate disappeared into their bedroom and Dazbog took a moment to drain and clean the bathtub, gathering up the pelts and blankets that had served as their makeshift bed for the past few days. He walked into the bedroom and found Bion sitting on the edge of their bed, covered in a light blanket, curled up and staring at the floor. Dazbog slowly set the other pelts aside before kneeling in front of Bion, slowly picking up his mate’s slim hands to stroke the soft skin with his thumbs. “What happened kitten,” he asked softly, leaning down to meet Bion’s eyes behind the leopard’s cover of hair, rubbing their noses together and finally pulling a little smile to those lips at the action. Bion nuzzled his face and kissed his cheek. His mate looked at him afterward, eyes more serious than Dazbog could ever remember in their few months together. “You’ll…”Bion paused and licked his lips, looking like a little kitten as opposed to a full grown leopard. “You’ll love me no matter what….right Dazbog?” It was the first time Bion had ever used his full name, in the entire time they had known one another. Dazbog knew right then whatever Bion needed to tell him was something very serious. Dazbog almost threw himself at Bion but just settled for curling over his mate’s bent knees, leaning his head down to kiss the mark of claim he had left on Bion in the heat of their love. “I will always love you Bion,” he whispered against his leopard’s neck, arms curling around his kitten’s body. His mate curled into his hold, giving a little shaky sigh of relief. Bion nuzzled his ears, breath ghosting hotly against his scalp. Bion very slowly pulled from his hold, but his mate didn’t go far. His leopard scooted back onto the bed until he was laid out, the blanket around his body fell away leaving him beautifully naked. Dazbog felt his cock stir at the sight, but he held himself back, allowing his young mate to lead the way. They stared at one another. Bion seemed to search his eyes and face before he bit his lip and parted his legs, looking away from Dazbog to stare at the cave walls around them. He gazed at his mate before looking down, eyes darkening a bit at the sight of his lover’s groin, his beautiful flaccid cock, wrinkled hole, soft sac and… Dazbog’s eyes widened and he looked up at Bion’s face, to see his leopard staring at him anxiously. Plump lips were drawn into a thin line and his little ears lay flat to his skull, eyes wide and a little fearful. Dazbog looked away from his mate’s face to stare at his groin once more, finally absorbing all of the changes to his mate’s body around his lustful thoughts. Bion’s cock was smaller, not by much, but at least by a noticeable difference. His balls were smaller as well, but not by much. But the biggest difference of all was most likely the source of the day’s prior blood. His mate had a new entrance, right behind his balls and in front of his anus, surrounded by lips of skin. It almost looked like a female entrance, though the lips were not nearly as long from what he remembered from his classes back in the colony. No Bion just looked like a new round hole had formed in his body. He didn’t know what possessed him to do so but Dazbog reached out to touch the changes to Bion’s body. His fingers just barely touched the lips of his mate’s new entrance before his leopard closed his sweet thighs with a mew, looking at Dazbog in confusion. Dazbog felt himself blush at his forwardness. These changes were strange, but they in no way changed how he felt about his mate. Dazbog smiled softly up at Bion, crawling up onto the bed and curling around his mate’s body. He watched in growing happiness as Bion relaxed and started purring against him, tail slapping his hip in affection as his young mate kissed his shoulder. “It doesn’t bother you,” Bion asked softly after they had cuddled for a while. He shook his head, leaning down and kissing his mate behind his perfect little ear, nose buried in his damp hair. “It does not bother me Bion. You’re still the beautiful leopard I fell in love with…with a few changes. I don’t care Bion. As long as you’re safe I’m happy,” he whispered back, blowing at the soft little hairs in Bion’s ear that was his habit now, to watch his mate’s ear twitch and flick at the feeling. Bion giggled a little in his arms, fingers pushing at his chin to stop his playful, ticklish, treatment. His mate looked up at him with a smile, looking so bright and happy, a sight Dazbog hadn’t seen in days and he was so thankful whatever had happened to Bion was over, that this Change was done. “Does it bother you,” Dazbog asked back, kissing Bion’s nose as his hands stroked his mate’s back, fingers reaching to stroke the base of his leopard’s thick tail. His mate nodded a little, blushing and glancing shyly down before looking at Dazbog again. “A little. It’s really different and unexpected. But if you’re okay with it then I am too. There has to be a reason it happened…right Daz?” Dazbog nodded, pulling Bion a little closer at his mate’s hesitant question. “I think so. In the Spring we can go to the Bear colony down south. They might be able to explain what happened.” Bion gave a little smile and kissed the corner of his mouth, seeming to like the idea. Then his mate burrowed into his hold, curling close and purring softly. Dazbog held his sweet mate gently, looking down at Bion’s multicolored hair as his kitten fell asleep in his hold. His mate was finally able to sleep properly for the first time in days. Dazbog sent a silent prayer up to Luna and to Mother Earth, in thanks for his mate’s health. Even if they didn’t understand why it happened, it seemed his mate was okay and well. Right now that was all that Dazbog cared about. ----------------------------- AN: I'll understand if I loose some readers after this, in fact I'm expecting it. Just please, no flames.
