Heart of a Wolf

This is one of my insult dedication poems. I am skilled at insulting people through poetry, which makes me happy because nine out of ten times I write one, the person I wrote it for thinks it's a good poem....until I tell them it was directed at them. But the story behind this one, is simple. My Ex-gf kept saying (after I found out she was cheating on me with a guy) that she hadn't decided who she would rather be with, and was playing us both. Well, I called it quits, because I refuse to be a pawn in a game that can't be won without hurting somebody else or myself. So with that phrase in mind, I got the title for my poem. It was one of a series of three I wrote within a few minutes of each other, I am still unsure if I will post the other two or not. Because my first poems ever, were also in a group of three, but as of yet, I can't post them.

So, on with Games.

Games



You play me like a violin,
You think my life is filled with sin,
You give me pain, you take my friends,
This vicious circle never ends.

I suffer at your hand each day,
Hoping in the end you’ll stay,
I love you now, I always will,
But, in the end, my heart you’ll kill.

I wish for love, I pray for death,
I live, hating every wasted breath,
When you claim your love, I want to die,
This love you feel is just a lie.
