Hidden
Hidden written 9/19/09
she wears a mask so no one sees
a hidden side so fragile and weak
she hides her tears behind a false smile
she stay hidden behind my mask.
only one has seen
through her mask
only one has touched
the real girl inside
she loved him with all her heart
she let my mask down for him
he saw the girl that stayed hidden
he saw the dreams she once had
she fell in love to the point of no turning back
she would have given anything to be with him
one moment, one hour, one day
each where precious to her
The mask slipped from her
when he was near,
others started to see
the girl behind the mask
time passed by with him at her side
she started to trust more, love more
she started to open in a way shed never before
a bridge was built that will never burn
then came the day of fates design
he no longer was in love
with the girl behind the mask
yet he still loved as a friend
the mask and girl shattered
broken and alone
a new mask was born
of tears and sorrow
she hide the pain
she hide the tears
she hide her sorrow
she hide her fears
the person she once was lays hidden
in the ashes and dust
new walls erect to keep herself from
the pain and heartache she felt
she vows to never let another close
she vows to never let her walls fall
she vows to keep her true self hidden
she vows to hide her pain
she is now a hidden mask
that only one can read

the only one to see
