Free Verse
It is the end of an era
The beginning of a lifetime
It is the crossroads upon which we stand
There are many ways we can choose
Now is the time for reflection
Here we sit
A swarm of bees
Stingers placed away for once
We make our lives from paper cups
Time has come to be as one
Let past aggressions be resolved
Geek, Goth and Prep combine
Into one entity
Soon we will not be here
The time will come when we are fresh to the world
Then is when we will wish for these days
Days where we knew those around us
Though only in a mirrored sense
We can break those mirrors
Today and only today
The last chance at knowing the truth
Turn to your neighbor and laugh
Talk to the invisible girl
Make friends with the self proclaimed bad boy
Become the person you want to be and
Allow people to view the depths of the soul
For today is the last we have
