Missing You
You’re no longer here
And it’s hard for me
Cause nearly everywhere I look
It’s you I see.
I see you in your giant ball
You running on the floor
And on my bed where you loved to sit
I see you just lying by the door
But the one place I no longer see you
Is your little hamster cage
I need to face it; you’re gone for good
I can’t go back to the good old days
No matter how much I wish.
People tell me to just forget
But how can I do that
To me you weren’t a pet
You were my family
The day you left tore me apart.
I feel empty inside
And I’m missing a piece of my heart.
People say the pain will go away,
But it just doesn’t seem to be,
They say it just takes time,
Guess I’ll have to wait and see.
Just know no matter what.
That I’ll always think of you
When I’m alone or in a crowded room
I’m always missing you.

A/N: Written after my hamster Patches died. she used to break out of her cage alot.. some how figuring out how to unlatch the door. n i would always find her sitting by the bedroom door.. wasn't hard to know she got out though. 3 out 5 cats were usually right outside it wanting in. She died November 6th of 2005. Her sister Panda followed her n passed away on the 9th of January 2006.
