Yup, super short chapter!!
Chapter 9 – Apologies
“I’m sorry Daniel, I can’t go tonight,” Bliss was saying properly, bowing her head then cursing herself for doing it. Damn her parents’ Japanese traditions. She always wanted to bow every time she apologized, even when she did not mean it as deeply as she was making it sound. “I hope you guys have fun at the game, though.”
“But Bliss, I was really hoping you would go out with us afterwards,” Daniel whined, and felt like a pussy for doing so, which was why he was whining in the first place, what he felt like was what he felt like… having. Argh, he was confusing himself and all of the blood in his head was draining to his… stop already Daniel, focus on anything, anything but her cleavage. Look at her ears, those are nice and innocent, even if he wanted to nuzzle behind her ears and suck at the lobes and, GAH! He could not stop.
“Maybe after I do what I have to do I could go and meet up with you guys,” Bliss lied. She had never had any intention of going out with them afterwards, if she did it would mean that she would have to go with him and be alone. She was afraid that her whole fake relationship with him was becoming real and she needed to take a few steps back.
“That would be great!” Daniel cried, a little too excited. Bliss almost staggered back but instead kept her fake smile plastered on. This was the day she was finally going to meet her parents. She was going to… no, this was great. It was perfect! She would not be running off afterwards to go and find Daniel she was hoping to stay up all night and talk to her parents.
“All right, then I will call you when I’m done with my… thing,” Bliss explained to Daniel.
“What is it anyway?”
“Oh, just something I have to do with my parents.”
