~*~*~* Signifies a break in time
Toya couldn’t believe his luck. His father had given him a certain amount of money he could spend and before he had left and now Toya was doing some shopping. It was Thursday after school and the youth had decided he wanted to buy all the stuff himself instead of getting one of the maids to do it. He though it would mean a lot more if he set everything up by himself. Currently he was walking down the bulk section with a basket, as he didn’t think he’d need a cart.
“Hmm Kira said he liked these.” Toya said aloud to himself as he stopped at a large bin with gummy bears in them. Looking around he pulled off one of the bags and started scooping the candies in then tied them off with the little twist tie and wrote down the bin number before moving on. After that he skimmed through the other candies, grabbing some different bags of chips as he went along with an assortment of dips. Maybe he needed two baskets.
“Swedish Berries…He said those too I think.” Again Toya located a bag and filled it with the little red candies. They sure did look good at any rate and he could only hope that his memory wasn’t too faint. Perhaps he should have written down a list of some kind. The blue haired youth continued along getting all the things he remembered and some other things he though the redhead might like. Soon he had his basket over flowing and held a bag of cherries in his teeth. He liked cherries especially with the stems. Now he stood in line, setting down the bag and basket when his arms would grow tired. He flashed the cashier a warm smile as he set his things on the moving belt then waited for them to get rung up.
“Quite a lot of junk food. You having a party or something?”
“No just a sleep over with a friend.”
“Man I wish my friends had all this stuff when I was a kid.”
Toya certainly had splurged and he did in fact have to get another basket like he had suspected. He had gotten chips, cheese puffs, and all the candies he had remembered including the round chocolate thingies with the sprinkles. They didn’t really look that great to Toya but if Kira liked them then he’d buy them. He also purchased a few types of pop and beverages as he wasn’t sure what the redhead enjoyed drinking. Once all the items had gone through the blue haired youth happily paid for them. Of course Jo had been sitting at the bench just next to the doors as Toya had requested and now he stood to help the boy with his bags.
“You certainly have purchased a lot for just the two of you.”
“You think I went a little over board?”
“Perhaps a little Master Toya.” Jo said as he looked at the bags of candy. They were filled as full as Toya could get them. The youth probably spent close to or more than a hundred dollars on just snacks.
“Well even if we have some left over then I won’t have to worry about shopping the next time he comes over.” Toya said happily as they walked out the door to the car. Now all the youth had to do was get all the snacks set out in bowls then he’d be set.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
The next day Toya had been all to full of energy and couldn’t keep from smiling all through his first two classes. The other day he had spent a lot of time with Rina setting up the den where he and Kira would be camping out for the night and hanging out in after school. He was sure that they would both have some homework and he though it would be nice if they studied together for a little while. All through the morning he had been a little edgy, hoping he had done everything right and had everything set up just right. He knew he was probably just over reacting as he went over everything in his mind for the tenth time in his head.
“Hey Toya over here!” It was lunchtime and Toya had just finished buying his lunch and was about to set off to find Kira when he saw Bakari and the others waving at him. Smiling he made his way over, he felt that he may have been rather rude since he hadn’t sat with them for a couple days now and he hoped they weren’t upset.
“Hey where have you been lately? We haven’t seen you around in awhile.” Bakari questioned.
“I am terribly sorry. I didn’t mean to blow you guys off I just had some things I had to talk to Kira about that’s all.” Toya said with a small bow of his head.
“Hey it’s no problem man. We all have our own thing too so it’s okay. Sometimes none of us show up.” Kuchi reassured before continuing. “We were actually discussing ideas for some school activities for the upcoming spirit day.”
“Spirit day?”
“It’s a day where the student spend the day doing activities and such. They can also earn extra credit for their classes as well. It only happens three times a year.” Hijiri explained.
“Oh well…I can’t really think of anything off the top of my head really though I’m sure I could come up with a few things if I was given time.” Toya said with a smile. He though the idea of a spirit day was most intriguing. He never imagined that Booradon would do anything fun really.
“Well we’re short a few people on the committee so if you want you could stop by room 404 after school on Wednesday.” Kuchi offered. “I’ll put in a good word for you too.”
“That’d be wonderful thank you Kuchi. I don’t mean to be rude but I need to be running along now. I’ll talk to you all again soon.” With that Toya trotted off in search of his redheaded angel.
Sitting outside under the oak, Toya munched happily on his salad and sipped casually at the tea he had gotten. He was sure Kira would show up soon so he wasn’t too worried. He smiled as he leaned back against the strong tree, thinking about the night ahead.
“Toya?” Hearing his name the blue-eyed youth opened his eyes to gaze into dazzling green ones. He felt a soft blush form on his cheeks and shook his head in hoped of getting rid of it.
“Hello Kira. I thought I’d find you out here. How has your day been so far?”
“It’s been okay I suppose.” Kira replied softly as he sat down next to the blue haired boy. Toya couldn’t help but detect a hint of sadness perhaps? Or was his day just not going good? He couldn’t be certain but he felt his heart melt when Kira gave him a soft smile and began eating his own lunch. Toya was so glad that he brought a smile to Kira’s face, possibly brightening up his day.
“If it helps any I have tonight all planned out. We could meet at the front gates and Jo will come pick us up.” The blue haired youth said with a smile. He enjoyed sitting with Kira, it gave him the perfect opportunity to look at the beautiful without seeming odd.
“Sure my last class is close to the gates so I’ll meet you out there.” Kira replied with a smile as he munched on some of his fries. They spent the rest of the lunch hour simply eating and talking, mostly about school and their evil teachers. Toya had piped up saying that he liked his science teacher and Kira agreed. Though they weren’t in the same class they had the same teacher. Soon the lunch bell rang and they said their good byes and went on to their last classes.
Toya almost jumped out of his seat when the after school bell rang but he kept a level head and gathered up his books and made his way out the door. He had gotten to the gates before Kira so he simply waited for the boy, chatting with Hijiri and Kuchi when they spotted him before they left for home.
“Toya! Sorry I’m a bit late.” Kira said with a small nervous smile when he reached the blue haired youth at the gate.
“It’s ok I don’t mind. Come let’s get going.” Toya replied as he led the redhead over to the car where Jo was waiting by the door. “I do apologize if we’ve kept you waiting.” Toya said with a smile as the driver opened the door.
“No problem at all Master Toya.” Jo replied. After Kira had gotten into the car he shut the door and went to the driver’s side.
“Thirsty?” Toya questioned as he opened the small refrigerator and pulled out a can of pop and offered it to the other.
“Yeah thanks.” Kira replied with a smile as he took the offered drink. Toya was happy to see that the redhead seemed a lot more happy now than he had during lunch.
“Did you bring some swim trunks and some extra clothes?”
“Yep I have them in my bag. I hate wearing this stupid uniform all the time so I made sure to remember.”
Not to long after they reached Toya’s home and Jo again opened the door for them.
“Woah you live here?” Kira questioned when he got out. The house sure was a nice place and it made him wonder why Toya had said his own home was splendid.
“Yeah. My father insists living in large extravagant homes even though he’s rarely home. You don’t need to feel intimidated or anything like that. The maids are very nice.”
“You have maids?” It was then Toya began blushing softly. He hoped he wasn’t making Kira feel bad, he truly did like the other boys home very much because it was just that, a home, with a family and leaky taps and stains on carpets.
“Yes I do but I don’t order them around or anything. They’re very nice woman, Rina is one of the best maids we ever had, my father even paid for her and her husband to move along with us. They don’t live to far from here actually.” Toya replied as he walked up to the doors and stepped inside.
“Good afternoon young master” Rina greeted at the door.
“Hello Rina. This is Kira, a friend of mine from school.”
“Welcome master Kira. Please make yourself at home.”
“Oh you don’t need to call me ‘master’ or anything.” Kira said as he scratched the back of his head. Rina laughed softly as she took Toya’s school bag and shoes.
“Come on Kira let’s go to the den. I have everything set up in there.” Toya said happily as Kira took off his shoes. Nodding the redhead followed after him, gazing around the house as he went. The floors were all hardwood with a lovely finish on it and there were all kinds of vases and flowers and paintings hanging around. “Hey Kira watch this.” The blue haired youth called as he began to run before sliding along the floor in his socks, stopping at a door. Laughing the redhead followed suit and did the same though it seemed he took a bit too much of a run as he crashed right into Toya, making them both tumble to the floor. Kira raised his head to apologize but Toya was just laughing, his entire face was bright with laughter and the redhead couldn’t keep from doing the same.
“Come on lets go inside.” Toya said as he stood and helped the other up. The closeness of Kira had made him more than happy and he was fighting to keep his blush down though it had been most hilarious. Opening the den door he allowed Kira to enter first.
“Woah.” It was all the redhead could say as he looked around the room. The floor was also hardwood save for the huge white plush rug that was placed in front of a lovely marble fireplace though a fire wasn’t burning at the moment. Off to the side was a large table where Toya had set up all the snacks and food, that was where Kira headed to first, eating a few of the select candies before walking over to the Nintendo systems that sat in frond of what looked like a wall. On the other side of the room was an equally impressive stereo system and Toya couldn’t help but blush softly. He was glad that Kira liked the room.
“I set everything up myself.” He stated proudly as he walked over to where Kira was. “We can play if you like and feel free to have as much food as you want though don’t eat to much before we leave.”
“Leave?” Kira questioned as he set down the game he had been looking at. Now Toya’s smile grew larger as he reached into his pocket and pulled out the two Funtasia entry cards, handing one to Kira.
“Yeah I heard this place was one of the best places to go to in the city.”
“Man you really are something else you k now that Toya. All of this just for a sleepover?”
“Well I wanted you to have as much fun as possible. I’ve never had a sleepover you know.”
“Never?”
“Nope.” Toya replied shaking his head. “I’ve never really had a close friend or anything like. I was always just something for my father to show off and lots of people thought I would be snooty. Don’t get me wrong my father is a very good and kind man it’s just that sometimes he really gets on my nerves.”
“I can relate. Every family has its problems but with a house as big as this you must be able to escape them pretty easily.” Kira said with a chuckle.
“Yeah that’s true. Do you want to play?”
“Well I would like to play this one but it’s only one player.” Kira admitted as he held up the game. Toya smiled as he grabbed up a remote and pressed the top button making part of the ‘wall’ slid open revealing a large flat screen television.
“I don’t mind. I’d like to watch you play, we could even play on my saved game, I can’t figure out how to get past the eighth level.”
Time went by quickly and soon a knock sounded on the door.
“Come in!” Toya called.
“Oh no you little bastard! I’m gonna kill you this time!”
“Use your dragon spell! The dragon spell!”
The two boys had been playing for awhile and were in the middle of beating the tenth level boss. Naturally they were so engrossed in the game they had resorted to talking to it as well as each other.
“It’s 5:00 young master. You asked me to come tell you.” Rina said with a small smile as she watched the boys. Toya had never looked so happy as he clutched a pillow and started beating it against the floor when they were killed.
“Oh thank you Rina.” He said with a smile as he stood up. “Come on Kira lets go get changed and leave for Funtasia. Nodding the redhead saved the game and followed after Toya.
“Man my ass feels so numb.”
“So does mine.” Toya agreed as he led him upstairs. “I’ll go change in my room. You can use the bathroom if you like.” The blue-eyed youth said with a smile as he walked for his bedroom.
“Ok I’ll wait for you outside your door then if you’re not done before me.” Kira said as he wondered off to the bathroom. It wasn’t long when Kira was done and leaned again the wall next to Toya’s door. The blue haired boy soon came out a few minutes later in the outfit he had chosen before his hair seemed to be kind of messed up to though in a good way.
“Sorry if I took too long.” Toya said with a sheepish smile.
“No not at all.” Kira replied. “All set then?” Nodding the blue-eyed boy led the redhead downstairs to where Jo was waiting.
“Shall we go then?” The driver questioned with a smile.
All through the drive there Toya found it hard to keep his eyes off the little redheaded beauty sitting next to him. Sure it was hard before but now it was far more difficult. Kira was dressed in a simply outfit but he looked great. His pants were dark blue jeans that clung oh so sweetly to his totally perfect ass, his shirt was a black t-shirt and it hugged his chest in a loose kind of way, giving Toya a little room for imagination. His shoes were simply and looked comfy and his jacket was a little thin since it wasn’t really that cold out yet.
/He’s so good looking./ Toya thought as he chanced a glance at the boy. /And I have him all to myself./
Soon they had arrived and Toya told Jo that they’d call when they wanted to get picked up. Waving to the driver Toya made his way up to the building with Kira. They had to squeeze through a few people but they eventually made it up to the door. Showing the man outside their cards they were permitted inside and then the doors were shut. Inside Funtasia it really was like a club with neon lights and dancing people, many were playing video games while others had taken a break to eat and a few were getting suited up for laser tag. Soon a loud machine voice reached Toya’s ears.
“Dance Dance Revolution!”
“Oh god! Come on Kira let’s go.” Toya almost squealed as he took Kira’s hand and wormed through the crowd to the large stage area where some kids were just filing off. It was then that Toya made his way to the stairs, it seemed that no one was waiting to go on and the blue haired boy couldn’t be happier. Peeling off his jacket he handed it to the redhead. “I’ll be right back.” He said quickly as he made his way up the stairs and plugged in some quarters. Soon it started up and music blared through the speakers. He had done this song a few times before so he knew the basic steps though he hadn’t played DDR for a long time. Soon the little arrows appeared on the screen and he followed them as he made the steps until he felt himself fall into place with the song and the familiar dance. He was already having a lot of fun even if he did mess up a couple times. He wasn’t perfect so he didn’t care. All to the soon the song ended and the blue-eyed boy left the stage, laughing, and made his way to Kira, who was also chuckling to himself.
“Nice moves.” He said jokingly as he handed Toya back his jacket.
“Thanks.” The blue haired boy replied. “Oh hey you want to play laser tag after those guys get out?”
“Sure but I’m going to kick your ass. What do you want to do while we wait?” Kira questioned as Toya looked around. His eyes landed on a dartboard, there were a lot of prizes and he wanted to win one.
“Want to play darts?”
“Sure, why not?” This time Kira stepped up to go first. Stuffing in some quarters a few darts fell out and he picked one up and threw it. The first hit was a pretty good one, hitting the green. Smiling Kira let another one fly; he continued this until he ran out of darts. A few watching people clapped and congratulated him; Toya was among the people before he took his own turn. When his darts came out he asked Kira to hold them for him and took a few steps back making some people give him an odd look while others laughed. The board was already far back and the blue haired boy was going further back. Toya only smiled and ignored the small whispers. He was here to play a nice game and win a prize, nothing more. Picking up his first dart he held the tip between his middle and forefinger before flinging it forwards. It hit rather close to the bulls-eye and he was proud of his first hit, it also brought forth some startled whispers. The blue-eyed boy had found out a long time ago that he had rather good aim, why not use it? His next hits weren’t completely perfect, he hit the black once and the rest hit the green. Not his best game but it earned him a prize.
“We have a winner.” Toya happily walked up the man who was standing next to a big black barrel. “Reach in and pull out a prize.” Nodding Toya stuffed his hand into the small hole and fished around until his fingers wrapped about a box. Pulling it out his face turned bright red.
Handcuffs.
“HA! That’s hilarious!” Kira said as he slapped Toya lightly on the back. “I’m jealous.” He said still laughing. Toya just tucked them in with his jacket before turning to the redhead.
“Well I didn’t know what they were. I just felt a box that’s all.” He retorted.
“Yeah sure. Well now I’m actually reconsidering playing laser tag. You have quite the aim.”
“Thanks but you have pretty good aim yourself. I’ll have to watch my back.” Toya replied with a smile as he made his way over to the large black doors with the sign that read ‘LASER TAG’ in big bright neon colors. “Come on let’s go play.”
Yes I be a bastard. I left it at laser tag >.> don’t hate me just review and the next chapter will get put up ^^.
Tatoa back again with chapter nine ^^. We get to find out what happens with Kira and Toya whee. Anyway on with the chapter >.>
