Chapter 9
"Is Tara Takashi in?" Damian asked the lady on the other end of the phone as he lay back on his hotel bed.
"May I ask who is calling for her?"
"An old friend from Shinjuku. She'll know who you mean."
"Please hold." The lady replied.
A few minutes later her voice answered. "What do you want now, Damian? Don't you already have enough?"
"Tara I didn't call to gloat, although I'd like too. I called because of the state that Jai was in last night."
"I can't take back anything that happened, Kanada. I didn't know that young man was a friend of his from work. If I was able to change the outcome, I would have already done it."
"Fair enough. But can we meet for drinks? We really do need to talk."
Tara paused for a long moment then finally sighed and answered. "Meet me at The Bungalow in thirty minutes. I'll be out on the patio."
"See you then."

When Damian arrived he immediately spotted her and headed to her table. She spoke when seeing him walk up. "This could go against my better judgment, if I let it, you know."
"I don't want to argue with you, Tara. My only concern now has become Jai. Last night, he came to my place. Why, I really don't know; because he could have went to his best friends. But he came to me. What you did to him completely tore open the wounds that he had over losing his parents. Correct me if I'm wrong here, but weren't you the one he sought for comfort after what had happened?"
"Damian, the last thing that I ever wanted to do was hurt him. But you drove me to it. Not you directly, your words did. You're right, I have always allowed my temper to over-ride my class and I'll readily admit that. This time however, my letting that happen cost me someone that I truly cared about. When Jai lost his parents, I was there for him, yes. I did whatever I could to help him. His moving to Riverside was my idea, because I knew that it would be a good way for him to start over."
Damian thanked the waitress for theiinksinks and waited until she left then said. "Tara you need to clear this up with him. It pained my heart to see him like that. I felt helpless watching him cry the way he was. I knew that it was a mixture of everything he had went through with losing his parents, but equally, I knew that it was because of what happened between you both. Although at the time, I wasn't aware of exactly what had taken place. I didn't just see a beautiful young man kneeling there, what I saw was someone who was deeply hurting, emotionally."
Tara lowered her head then said. "You had wanted to take him away from me, Damian. But it was my own actions that caused it to actually happen. He is not going to forgive me for what I did and I know it."
"Maybe or maybe not. But, right now this has nothing to do with what we’ve done, our intentions or us. Tara, this is about him. He's had his heart broken enough and I believe it is time for that to stop. All I'm asking of you is to clear the air between you guys. Let Jai know that you still love him, because I know that you do. If either of you are going to heal and move on with your own lives, that's where it needs to start."
"What about your feelings for him, Damian? And you tell me honestly. What do you really want from him?" She asked finally looking up.
"Tara. I've only known him for less than 48 hours, a lot less time than you. But it feels like I've known him forever. Monday night, when I met him, I was out in Riverside working on something for Kielan. Well, collecting for his agency is more like it. The guy that I had to do the collecting from ended up bringing back up and I ended up getting my ass kicked. I was only able to get away from them thanks to some passersby coming to my aide. Those guys ran off, and I went into hiding. The logical place turned out to be an old abandoned two-story house. Before I knew it, I heard this voice calling out from the doorway; at first, I almost responded but decided not to thinking that maybe it was one of those idiots. A few seconds passed and I hear the voice again, this time, I went ahead and made a movement."
Damian sat silently. Tara waited for him to continue. She knew he was contemplating the rest of what he wanted to tell her. After taking a drink from his beer and lighting a cigarette, he went on. "That night turned out to be the first time I trusted anyone who was not someone that I knew well. You wanted to know my feelings for Jai, right? Well, I fell in love with him straight off. It wasn't just his beauty or the innocence that wrapped itself around him. It was everything. It scares me to even think about what that means; because until I met him, love was a word I didn't want anything to do with. Well, not since Kielan anyhow. But Jai managed to change that."
"I can relate to everything you've told me, except for falling in love with him. Unfortunately, I never made it that far and I hate myself for it. I allowed his purity to cloud my good judgment and chose to pursue him for the sole purpose of just being his mistress. That was when he was 19 years old and for a while, it seemed to be fine with him until he began to get really curious about sex. I never went through with it, couldn't bring myself to do so. I remember saying to myself that I was becoming a mother hen and it was exactly how I felt. Damian, the only sexual acts that I ever introduced him to had been oral sex and self-pleasuring that is all he knows. I had inadvertently trained his body to react to any kind of intimate touch, his own or otherwise, but that was never my intentions."
He nodded thinking about what she'd said then answered putting out his cigarette. "You asked me what I really wanted from him. Well, it’s everything; his mind, his body, his soul and I want to be able to show him that it is okay for him to have mine. I want him to know what it's like to love and be loved in return, unconditionally. A different type of love that can only be found outside of family. Damn, this sounds like I'm asking your blessing to marry him."
Tara laughed a little wiping away some tears from her eyes. She said. "Well, I am like a mother to him, I guess." then went silent.
"Tara, I will give you my word that I'll do whatever is in my power to make him happy. To keep him safe and show him what he needs to know. Although Jai won't say so, I know that he still loves you and I cannot compete with that as it is right now. Because it wouldn't be fair to any of us."
"What do you want me to do, Damian?" She asked softly.
"Only to talk with him, to see him again. Because he needs to know that you haven't forgotten him, that you haven't abandoned him. Tara, he needs closure from you; that was something he didn't get when dealing with his loss. Leaving things as they are right now between you both will endhurthurting us all later."
She thought about what he was saying then finally replied. "I'll go back with you to do this, for his sake. And as much as I am going to hate saying this, for yours."
He nodded picking up his beer when she did.

Jai couldn't believe he was standing in Damian's bedroom. During his self-tour of the house, he had intentionally missed it because the doors were closed. He had always been told that closed doors were off limits unless they belonged to him or he had permission to open them. So, he never even thought about it. But yet, now here he was. The room was rather big and seemed to be the master bedroom of the house. A king-sized waterbed including its headboard, adorned nearly one half of the wall he faced. Two matching dressers protected a small chest with pictures on in, stood by the wall on his left while a tall highboy sat over by the bathroom with a towel neatly draped on the custom-hanging rod attached to one of the doors.
He walked further inside noting that a smaller entertainment center sat by the wall where he was, although it was not as elaborate as the one he'd seen earlier. Ashton knocked softly and walked in then handed Jai a pair of his own pajama bottoms, shirt and underwear then said. "Tomorrow, we're going shopping. If you're going to be staying here with us, you will need some new things, especially the essentials. For now, there are clean towels and all that good stuff in the bathroom. You'll just have to look around."
"Thank you for helping me out today. Well, for everything really. This is all new for me."
"My pleasure darling. I don't just housesit around here. I also have to help keep it maintained because it is part of my job. By the way, I wanted to apologize for startling you earlier in the basement, I didn't mean to. I thought you heard me walk in."
Jai smiled sincerely and thanked him again, then waited until Ashton said goodnight pulling the double doors closed with him, then headed into the bathroom for a shower.
Once getting the water temperature the way he liked it, Jai closed the door until it clicked solidly and allowed the steamy water to caress him. The heated spray beat softly into his muscles making it's way down his legs. The erotic sensation of it was beginning to stir thoughts of Damian inside his mind. The hot liquid caressed his inner thighs, fully awakening his shaft and he carefully enclosed his hand around it, and closed his eyes imagining that it was his bass player who was touching him.
Every slow stroke he performed, sent a chill through him causing him to moan silently under the sensuous assault. "Damian." He whispered quietly while gently titillating the under ring. Slowly moving his fingers over the tip he let his slippery fingers glide back down again. The more he thought about him, the more his shaft seemed to respond to his own touch. Jai allowed his free hand to slide lower and carefully knead the sacs below his erect manhood. A groan almost escaped his throat until he took in a little water to drown it. Exploring further, he found his hidden opening and slowly moved a finger in a circular motion but stopped short of going any further. He refocused his attention back to his rock hard shaft picking up the pace of stroking it.
As he moved his hand back down then up and over the tip of his cock, Jai focused solely on Damian until he could see his face clearly then moved his hips forward slowly, letting the movement become the only stimuli his shaft felt within his hand. He moaned slightly over the new sensation that his soft thrusts were providing, carefully increasing his speed. He could feel his release steadily building and by the time it gave way, his whole body was rocked by it causing him to grab the ceramic towel holder on the left to steady himself until the spasms began to cease.
Jai stood completely still, his body still quivering in the aftermath. Once he felt safe enough to move, he let go of himself and the ceramic savior then went about finishing his shower. After drying off and getting ready for bed, he slowly walked back into Damian's room, still a little weak from his shower excursion, and slid between the cool white sheets and thick blanket. The warmth of the bed itself and the sweet spicy scent of his friend’s cologne lured him into a deep sound sleep.
"Is Tara Takashi in?" Damian asked the lady on the other end of the phone as he lay back on his hotel bed.
