Chapter 8

Part Eight
R-Violence, Language

\"What, Evilynn?. Oh, you changed your name …huh?” I ask. She cackles as only
a wicked witch can. Seb gently nudges me and points to the gun she’s holding.
OH MY GOD, I’m so consumed with anger that I didn’t notice it. That’s why he kept
me from beating her down. By this time, Five-O should have the place
surrounded. Now, they just have to wait for the right time to take her down.

She motions for us to sit on a cot nearby. We comply with her demand. She tells
me to kiss \"Dan\" good-bye, because he’ll be hers in minute. My blood was now
boiling over BIG time. Thank God I’m holding Seb’s hand. \"Okay kids, I’ll
let you in on my little secret,” she says. I’M NOT TAM!! I’M TAM’S AND SAM’S
TRIPLET….EVILYNN.\" Seb and I gasp in unison. I hear Sam making muffled sounds
in the background. \"That’s right, Mommy and Daddy gave me up. They sent me to a
mental institution, called St. Annes. Sounds familiar…huh? They didn’t want to
acknowledge that they had an abnormal baby. That’s why they never told my
sisters about me. They chose to raise them as twins. I vowed that I would
escape that hellhole. Once I did, I went looking for my so-called \"family.” I
had to find the monsters that sent me to that evil place. The net and I
instantly became best friends.”

I searched everyday until I found something about them. Then I came across an
article on the murder of Dan Vaughn. That’s how I found Tammy. Ironically she
was sent to St.Annes as well. Fortunately, some of the losers I knew still
worked there. I offered them money in exchange for access to her. They gave me
her visitation schedule, along with other things. That’s how I managed NOT to
get caught. I assumed the identity of Sam long before now. Ha.. Ha.. Ha. The
poor kid stayed drugged up for the most part. When she wasn’t faded, she’d
shell all kinds of info. She really thought that I was Sam. That’s how I knew
so much about Dan Vaughn. She even showed me his picture. I had one of my
flunkies nab her one night. She was actually brought to this dump. When she
served her purpose, I had her killed. It had to look like a suicide.” \"OH MY GOD!!,”
is all I manage to get out. Tears are flowing from my eyes like a broken
faucet. Seb has engulfed me with his protective arms. This does give me some
solace.

All this time we thought that Tam had committed suicide. It never did sit well
with any of us. It was the only explanation that they had given us. They gave
up on the investigation. A lump is in my throat. \"MY GOD, YOU KILLED….TAMMY,” I
say. I sure hope that Five-O is getting all of this.

\"I’ve been keeping tabs on you all ever since. I knew everything about all of
you. I was just biding my time until I came up with a plan for Sam here.” She
looks at Sammy and laughs. Okay, all we need is for her to confess that she
kidnapped Sam. Then it will finally be over.

\"My plan came into action that Friday night. I had the pleasure of knocking
lil’ sis out myself. I brought her here and switched places with her. As for
the phone call……. I expected her to call. That’s why I left it out on this
table here. I wanted everyone to blame Tammy for this. I wanted everyone to
hate her as much as I do. Once I got you here, I’d reveal my true identity,”
she says. The exit door slowly opens while she’s blabbing at the mouth. I see a
shadow creep up behind her. IT’S NOEL!! His crew isn’t far behind. He tells her
to put the gun down as he points his at her. \"NO WAY,” she declines. She defies
him and points the gun at me. Guns are instantly drawn and pointing at her. Seb
jumps in front of me, being my protective shield. Time seems to stand still
again. She looks at me again and pulls the trigger. My body is thrown on the
floor, covered with Seb. We hear the gunshots firing, \"BANG… BANG!!” We stay on
the floor until it seems all clear. Seb gradually moves and pulls me up with
him. It definitely seems safe now. We stand in shook as we see Evilynn with two
bullet holes in her head. Everything is covered with her blood. The Forensic
team is hard at work.

The Real Sam was immediately untied. I run and hug her. I tell her how
sorry I am. She says that it’s okay and that she blames Evilynn. \"THANK YOU,” I
exclaim. She says, \"YOU’RE WELCOME.” The medical team informs us that she has
to be examined. Thenclunclude that the blow to her head needs to be stitched
up. I hold her hand during this painful procedure. They give her some
painkillers and release her.

Seb and I immediately embrace and exhale. We were holding our breaths in for
so long. We just stay like that for five minutes or so. YES…. IT’S ALL
OVER….IT’S FINALLY OVER!! \"By the way, my name is Chereese. You saved my life back
there. I guess I put you through enough hoops already,” I say. We laugh and
stare into each other’s eyes. I can see Noel standing in the corner letting us
have this moment. After we leave our embrace, Noel strolls over. He gives me
the BIGGEST Bear hug ever. He shakes Seb’s hand. Then asks Seb to take Sam and
I home and he agrees. The press will be there soon and he didn’t want us
anywhere around. We make it back to my house. Once inside, our loved ones greet
us. After two hours of Q&A they finally leave us alone. Seb and I eventually
fall asleep on my sofa.

THE AFTERMATH

Noel made sure that neither Seb nor I were mentioned in the police report. For
the next few days we pretty much laid low. We spent our days together. We
realized that our nights should be spent apart. It just became too much of a
challenge to suppress our desires. Tuesday came and went. Wednesday and
Thursday didn’t come soon enough.

Now, it’s Friday morning. THANK GOD IT’S FRIDAY!! My alarm came on with,
\"Perfect Day,” by Hoku. I say a little prayer and wipe my eyes. I realized that
I didn’t have anything to wear tonight. I hall a$$ to raid my closet. My
doorbell rings….IT’S SEB!! He has two boxes in his hands. \"These are for you
my……. pretty,” he says. I immediately open it. It’s a beautiful purple silk
dress. In the other box was a pair of shoes to match. \"WOWSERS,” how did you know?\"
I ask. He tells me a little birdie told him. We laugh. I hug and thank him. A
few hours pass. Boy, time does fly when you’re having fun. It’s almost time for
my Salsa lesson…..I can’t wait. I get dressed in my tight purple pants and a
tank top to match. He has on his famous black silk shirt and purple/black pinstriped slacks. It’s
11:30am……..time to bounce.

THE
SALSA LESSON

We arrive at Club Salsalicious five minutes early. It’s ay cly classy and
beautiful place. We see Kamar as we walk in. He greets us as he walks us to our
\"EXCLUSIVE ROOM.” I’m really nervous now. Seb wraps his strong arms around me.
Then he tells me to relax and let the music dictate to my body. Seb starts
setting up things in the room. Then he puts on a CD and grabs my hand. The
first song we dance to is \"Balimos,” by Enrique Iglesias. I absolutely love
this song. I start letting the music take over like he said. Doing the Cha Cha
Cha….DabbyStyle. He dances right by side. He helps me improve on my steps. This
is the basic step to learn.

I felt so embarrassed at first. His subtle touches and glances really made me
relax. The second song is \"Patty,” by Nelly Furtado. He showed me the steps
first. Then we will do them together. This became the process of our session.
Each new step became progressively harder. I also realized that the steps
became more intimate. Our bodies were always intertwined with each other. I
was catching on pretty quickly…too. \"When I dream at Night, by Marc Anthony is
the next song. The step he showed me is a little more difficult than the rest.
I practiced until I got it right. The last song we dance to is \"Born to Fly,”
by Angel Lopez. After that, we’re both exhausted. It’s 3:30pm. We’ve been
dancing for 3 ½ hours….no wonder we’re beat. He’s a REALLY GREAT DANCER TOO. But
now it’s time to shake. We leave the club 15 minutes later. We stop by El
Pollo Loco for some grub. We finally make it back to my place. We get ourselves
cleaned up and enjoy some quality time alone. We have a few hours to kill
before we meet our friends at the club.

IT’S PARTY TIME

We all meet up at the club at 9pm. All eyes are on us when we enter the club.
Dayum, now I’m nervous again. Seb gently squeezes my hand for reassurance.
All our friends instantly greet us. My girls rush me and pull me away
from Seb. We say our silent good-byes. They hound me with countless questions.
Forty-minutes later the guys stroll by our table. Each guy asks his girl to
dance. We all comply with their request. As I take Seb’s hand, I keep hearing
chants of, \"YOU GO GIRL.” My knees start to get weak again. They play \"Spanish
Eyes,” by THE Back Street Boys. Great song to dance to. We staoingoing the dance that he
taught me. I actually pull it off. I’m getting more and more comfortable.
Pretty soon we’re clearing the dance floor again. Everyone in the club is
chanting our names. This time they were chanting my REAL name. We Salsa ourselves into each other’s hearts
for the rest of our lives.

The End…of THE STORY……… but NOT THEIR DANCE!!!!!
