The Power of the Neglected

It has been a few days after the final test. Many civilian students were outside the Academy to see his siblings pass and find out what team they will be on. All of the civilians were saddened knowing they wouldnt be on the same team as their crush. But if there was one thing they could do, it would be to cheer them on. All of the students that had passed the exam were inside the classroom. Menma and Kiba were talking together about what teams they would be on and how they would be great shinobi. Mito, Sakura, Ino, and Yakumo were together reminiscing about their times together and that they would miss it. Narumi, Hinata and Hanabi were together talking about their futures. Sasuke and Satsuki had scowls on their faces. Shikamaru was sleeping, Choji was eating chips and Shino just sat in his chair waiting for Iruka to come. Finally Naruto was sitting by the window and staring outside. What Naruto did notice was that Mito and Narumi were staring at him. He pays no them no mind as their friends stare at Naruto too. Mito, Ino, Sakura, and Yakumo: "Why do you keep staring at your brother Mito? You never cared about him at all in your life. Its like you hated him." Sakura yelled. Mito looks down in shame. "Yeah I know that. I know I have never been the big sister I should have been. I realize what I have done in the past." Mito said in a painful tone. "But I want to make up for what I have done and make him know that I care for him." Mito explained. "Well you arent going to get his forgiveness if you just stand there." Ino said. Mito nods and begins to stand up. "Yeah your right Ino. I will go talk to him. After all, everytime I tried to, my fans would always get in the way." Mito said determined to talk to her younger brother. "You got this Mito." Yakumo cheered on. "Yeah." Mito said as she went over to Naruto who had is head down. Narumi: Hinata and Hanabi saw Narumi look at Naruto and were confused. "Why are you looking at Naruto, Narumi?" Hinata asked. "Yeah, you never cared or liked him before. Why do you care about him now?" Hanabi asked getting a nod from her twin sister. Narumi sighs and looks down in shame hearing her friends. "I know what I did in the past was horrible. I know me and my siblings told you all to stay away from him and tell you all bad things about. We all did it because we didnt like him at all. In truth he never did any of the bad stuff me and my siblings told you and I dont know why I had hated him." Narumi said getting gasps of shock from her friends. "Why would you frame Naruto for doing bad things?" Hinata asked. "We did it because it was easy to blame him and I admit that I used to find it funny seeing him get in trouble." Narumi said in a depressed tone. "We would also do bad things and steal, destroy, and play pranks on everyone and blame it on Naruto." Narumi said getting her friends to be shocked at how cruel and her siblings were. Hanabi then put a hand on Narumi's shoulder and sighed. "Although I dont like the things you had done." Hanabi said causing Mito to widen her eyes and nod in understanding. "I will help you get your brother to forgive you since I know you have changed for the better." Hanabi stated getting a large hug from Narumi. "Th-Thank you Hanabi. Please help me get my brother back." Narumi cried. "We will Narumi." Hinata said as the three shared a hug. After that they began to walk towards Naruto. Before Mito and Narumi could talk to Naruto the door gets slammed open and a loud voice comes in. "ALRIGHT EVERYONE TAKE YOUR SEATS." Iruka yelled getting everyone that was standing to sit down. "You all know why you are here and I just wanted to let you all know how proud I am to call you my students." Iruka said sincerely. "So I decided to share to you all a speech I had made." Iruka said. This caused many to groan. "Okay now let me begin." Iruka yelled out as Iruka had a 1 hour speech to which no one listened to. "Now that I finished my speech I will now announce the teams." Iruka said which got everyones attention. "So first team is team 7 with Menma Uzumaki Namikaze, Mito Uzumkai Namikaze, and Narumi Uzumaki Namikaze led by Kakashi Hatake and Kushina Uzumaki Namikaze." Iruka yelled out. This made the three siblings sigh in defeat and slam their heads on the table. They all wanted space from each other but they will be stuck together as a team. Naruto was in deep thought about what he just heard. He had been expecting for his siblings to be on the same team but two senseis was different entirely. In the entire history of Konoha, no team had two sensei's. And hearing that his mother would come out of retirement was also a shock but not that surprising to hear. "Next is team 8 with Kiba Inazuka, Shino Aburame and Hinata Hyuuga led by Kurenai Yuuhi." Iruka yelled out. Hinata quickly looks at her sister saddened that they wont be on the same team together. Kiba had already been saddened to not be on the same team as Menma and Shino seemed to not care. "Next is team 10 with Shikamaru Nara, Ino Yamanaka and Choji Akamichi." Iruka announced. This caused Ino to scream out in anger and frustration on how she isnt on the same team as Menma and is stuck on the same team with two people she did not like. Shikamaru just sighs in annoyance as Choji just continues to eat. "Next is team 11 with Sasuke Uchiha, Sakura Haruno, Hanabi Hyuuga, and a new student named Sai being led by Genma Shiranui." Iruka announced which shocked everyone. No one knew of the new student. Sasuke looks on not caring, Sakura screams out about love, Hanabi is saddened, and Sai just walks into the classroom. Everyone looks at Sai with interest. Iruka coughs to get everyones attention. "The final team will be Team 12 with Naruto, Satsuki Uchiha, and Yakumo Kurama led by Rin Nohara and Anko Mitarashi." Iruka announced which shocked everyone. Everyone then looked at Naruto who looked emotionless. Naruto may appear emotionless on the outside but on the inside he was shocked just like everyone else. He had two senseis. Satsuki looked at Naruto with interest. She never really cared or knew about Naruto. All she knew was that he was a troublemaker and the dead last of the class and his family. But being on the same team as Naruto was something she never thought would happen. Yakumo on the other hand also looked at Naruto. Hearing what Mito said earlier made her even more interested in Naruto. The fact she was on the same team as him was something she didnt know how to feel. When all was said and done  everyone began to wait for their senseis to show up. The first to show up was a man with black hair and a beard. He also appeared to have a sash with the fire kanji. His name was Asuma Sarutobi. "Team 10 follow me." Asuma commanded as Shikamaru, Ino and Choji got up to follow their new sensei. After that came a man with brown hair, a rag and a straw in his mouth. That man was Genma Shiranui. "Team 11 follow me." Genma said as Sasuke, Sakura, Sai and Hanabi got up and followed the man. After him was a woman with long black hair and red eyes. Her name was Kurenai Yuuhi. "Team 8 follow me please." Kurenai simply said as Kiba, Hinata and Shino got up and followed the woman. Finally there was now inky 6 people in the room. Naruto, Satsuki, Yakumo, Menma, Mito and Narumi. Mito and Narumi were about to go and talk to Naruto but stopped when they saw someone crash into the window. After that smoke filled a portion of the room as four figures appeared from the smoke. Those people were Kushina Uzumaki Namikaze, Kakashi Hatake, Rin Nohara and Anko Mitarashi. "Now which one of you are mine?" Anko asked out loud. "Calm down Anko, there only kids right now." Rin said. "Eh, whatever." Anko answered back. "Well thank you for helping us get here Anko. I had to search around the village to find Kakashi and beat him to a pulp." Kushina said with a kind smile but toxic voice. "Your welcome Kushina sensei." Anko said. "Now Team 7 follow me and Kakashi." Kushina ordered as her kids quickly got up and followed their mom and who they consider as their older brother out the door. "Now can the rest of you follow us." Rin ordered as she looked at all of her students. Her eyes then landed on Naruto who she blushed at. Anko also looked at Naruto with a blush. Anko quickly snaps out of it and orders all of them outside and to meet on the roof. "Now all of you get on the roof." Anko commanded as she and Rin shunshin to the roof. Naruto runs towards the roof at light speed while Satsuki and Yakumo head up the stairs. The Roof: Anko and Rin were on the roof and a second later Naruto appeared as well. Rin and Anko looked at Naruto in shock. Anko then smiles, "Well arent you a quick one brat." Anko said. Naruto simply walks closer to his two senseis and sat down. Rin simply gave Naruto a kind smile. "Not the talker I see." Anko said as Naruto ignored her again. Anko quickly speeds towards Naruto with a kunai planning to make him flinch. Naruto to her surprise doesnt move a muscle. "You done." Naruto said in a monotone voice. Anko simply smiles at him "You know what, I like you brat." Anko said as Naruto simply nods. After that Satsuki and Yakumo reach the roof top. They look around and get surprised as they saw Naruto. "H-How did you get up here so fast?" Satsuki asked as Yakumo nodded. "He is just really fast girls." Anko said which makes the both of them nod. Rin then claps her hands to get everyones attention. "Now that we are all here, lets introduce ourselves." Rin said happily as everyone aside from Naruto nodded. "I will go first." Anko said as most of them nodded. "My name is Anko Mitarashi, I like dango, my friends, Orochimaru sensei, and now, you guys. I hate traitors, rapists, perverts, and creeps. And my dream is to train you all to become amazing shinobi." Anko said as many nodded. "I will go next." Rin said. Many nod at her words. "My name is Rin Nohara and I like my friends, sensei, Konoha, and working at the hospital. I hate rapists, perverts, and those that betray their friends and comrades." Rin said as everyone nodded at her words. "Now you with the brown hair." Anko said pointing at Yakumo. Yakumo nods and gets ready to introduce herself. "My name is Yakumo Kurama and I like my friends and family, genjutsu, and Kurenai sensei. I hate rapists, perverts, those that mock genjutsu and those who threaten my friends and family. And my dream is to become the greatest genjutsu user in the world." Yakumo said in a determined voice. "Well said girl." Anko said. "I love your dream and conviction Yakumo." Rin said kindly. "Thank you sensei." Yakumo said bowing her head. "Now Uchiha girl, your next." Anko said pointing at Satsuki. Satsuki simply nods and begins. "My name is Satsuki Uchiha. I love my family, clan, tomatoes and Training. I hate Menma, rapists, perverts, and those that threaten my clan and family. And my dream is to become a powerful Kunoichi and lead the Uchiha clan to greatness." Satsuki said with conviction. "Interesting." Anko said as she smiled at Satsuki. "Yeah, I know you will become an awesome Kunoichi one day Satsuki." Rin said in a happy tone. "Thank you sensei." Satsuki said. "Now its your turn brat." Anko yelled pointing at Naruto as everyone looked at him. Naruto merely looks up and begins. "My name is Naruto and I dont really like anything. I dont dislike anything either and my goal is that I dont have one." Naruto said in a monotone voice and monotone expression. Everyone looks at Naruto confused. Satsuki and Yakumo look at Naruto is slight anger as they didnt find out anything about him. Rin looks at Naruto in sadness. She knew how badly he was treated and hoped he turned out okay. But she later comes to find out how he turned out and it breaks her heart. She them made a promise to help Naruto and make him more human. Overall she wanted to give Naruto the attention and love he never got. And being his sensei was the perfect opportunity. Anko merely looks at Naruto is surprise and sadness. She knew how badly Naruto was treated so she and Rin wanted to become his sensei to help him get better. But seeing how he turned out saddened her to no end as she now vows to make his life better. "Okay now that we are all done introducing ourselves me and Anko have something to tell you." Rin announced as everyone looked at her. "The final test you took in the academy is not the final test to make you all certified genin." Rin said shocking Satsuki and Yakumo. Naruto had knew this since Kurama had told him. "What do you mean sensei?" Yakumo asked. Anko then steps in to answer. "What she means is that the test you took a few days ago was a test to weed out the week and find those capable of becoming genin. Now actual genin test is what makes the three of you actual genin." Anko explained causing Satsuki and Yakumo to nod. Anko then looks at Naruto. "Hey brat, why dont you look surprised or that you understand huh?" Anko yelled out. Naruto simply ignores her. "You may ignore me now, but you wont be soon." Anko yelled out causing Satsuki and Yakumo to shiver in fear. Rin then puts a hand on Anko to stop her. "Okay now, we will begin the genin test when we reach the training field. So follow me." Rin said as everyone followed her to the training field. Training Field 12: This was the training field used for those that were or in team 12. Once everyone made it to the training field Rin and Anko explained the rules. "Now that we are all here, let me and Anko explain the rules for this test." Rin said as Anko nodded. "So as you can see here there are two bells." Rin said as both she and Anko hold up one bell. "Your goal for this test is to attain these two bells." Rin said. "But there is a catch you three." Anko said causing everyone to look at her. "The catch is that the two people who get the bells will be the ones that pass and the one that doesnt, fails and gets sent back to the academy." Anko said in a sadistic voice. "You also have until 7 pm to get these bells." Rin said as she pulls out a clock. "Seeing as it is 1 pm, you guys have 7 hours to complete this test." Rin said as she prepared the clock "Now when we say begin. Begin." Anko said as Satsuki and Yakumo nodded. "Now, Begin." Anko and Rin said in unison as Satsuki and Yakumo quickly ran to hide while Naruto just stood in place. After Satsuki and Yakumo managed to find a good place to hide, everyone realized Naruto had not moved. Anko and Rin looked at Naruto curiously. "Why arent you hiding Naruto?" Rin asked as Anko nodded to the question. Naruto sighs and begins to answer the question. "Since you guys are jonin, and elite ones at that, you will be able to find me easily." Naruto answered as he lied to his senseis. Naruto could easily hide from them if he wanted to. Anko and Rin merely smirk and nod at Naruto's reasoning. "Although you may be smart brat, lets see how well you fight." Anko said charging at Naruto. Naruto stands there and waits for Anko to come closer. Once Anko gets close, Naruto jumps high in the air and begins to form two [Shadow Clone Jutsu] to attack her. Anko looks behind her and changes her direction to charge at Naruto. But she quickly gets intercepted by the clones. Anko then gets into a taijutsu battle with the two clones and pops them quite easily. "It that all you got brat?" Anko asked in a mocking tone. Naruto then comes behind her and tries to punch her. Anko sees this an catches Naruto's punch. "Not bad brat." Anko said as she grabs Naruto's arm and throws him across the field. But what Anko didnt realize was that Naruto had slowed down his punch so she would be busy with catching his fist and have her attention away from the bell. "You may be good brat, but you are still no match for me." Anko mocked. Naruto then reveals that he got a bell which shocks everyone. "H-How did you?" Anko asked as she patted down her clothes to find the bell she had. "I made you focus on my punch and that gave me the perfect chance to get the bell for myself." Naruto explained making everyone impressed. "Impressive brat, but what now?" Anko asked. Naruto sighed. "I have figured out the true meaning of this test." Naruto stated making Satsuki and Yakumo confused. Rin and Anko on the other hand are shocked and wanted to hear Naruto's answer. "Although I know the true meaning of this test, I want to complete this test with my team so when we pass, we at least have some experience working together." Naruto explained in a monotone voice. "He has already passed the test." Anko and Rin both thought in their heads. Naruto quickly heads towards Satsuki and Yakumo. He grabs Yakumo quickly heads towards Satsuki. Once he gathers up his team he begins to talk. "So I have figured out the true meaning of this test." Naruto said. "Yeah we heard, is it true?" Satsuki asked as Naruto nodded. "Really." Both Satsuki and Yakumo said. "Yeah, but the both of you need to think hard about what the test means. If you cant figure this test out, you will never succeed as shinobi." Naruto said. Satsuki and Yakumo quickly look at eachother and began to talk. "What do you think the test true meaning is?" Yakumo asked as Satsuki was deep in thought. "Well there are three of us and two bells." Satsuki said slowly. "Yeah and Naruto has one bell." Yakumo said. This gets Satsuki to think deep about Konoha teams. She realized when it came to genin there were always three. "Th-Thats it." Satsuki said figuring it out. "What is it?" Yakumo asked. "Just think deep, have you ever seen a genin team with only two genin?" Satsuki asked. "N-Nooo." Yakumo said finally realizing what her two teammates saw. "Which means." Satsuki tried to say. "Which means that the true meaning of this test is teamwork. We have to work together to get the bells." Yakumo screamed out. "That is correct Yakumo." Rin said as all three students looked at her. "So do you all agree with her?" Anko asked. Naruto and Satsuki nodded and the two jonin nod their heads as well. "Well seeing how you all managed to find out the true meaning of the test and worked together to find out." Rin started to say. "YOU ALL PASS." Rin and Anko announced at the same time. This causes Satsuki and Yakumo to both cheer while Naruto just stands there emotionless. "Congratulations brats." Anko said. "Yeah congratulations, you all did very well." Rin said happily. After a few more minutes of celebrating Rin and Anko stopped it all. "Now that we are done we both need to report how well you all did and that you passed." Rin said as Anko nodded as well. "So goodbye brats and your training starts tomorrow." Anko said as both her and Rin shunshin to the Hokage Tower. This left the three students alone. Satsuki then looked at Naruto. "Thank you Naruto. Without you I dont know if I would have passed this test and become a genin." Satsuki said. "Yeah, I want to thank you too Naruto." Yakumo said showing her gratitude. Naruto then looks at the two of them. "You both would have figured it out with or without my help." Naruto simply said. The two girls look at Naruto with wide eyes. "Well now that we are a team now, do you guys want to eat together?" Yakumo asked. "Yeah sure." Satsuki said as Naruto just nods. "Then lets go." Yakumo said as Naruto and Satsuki follow her lead. Hokage Tower: Everyone had now arrived at the Hokage Tower to give their reports. "Good, now that everyone is here, give me your reports." Minato said as everyone nodded. "Team 7 you go first." Minato said eagerly, wanting to know how well his children did. "Well they all did really well Minato. Mito was able to quickly figure out the true meaning of the test and the other two followed suit." Kushina said as Minato nodded. "But Menma's ego is very distracting and causes the team to argue." Kushina said causing Minato to frown. "Other than that, they are fine. So Team 7 has passed." Kushina said finishing her report. "And what do you think of this Kakashi?" Minato asked. "I agree Minato sensei." Kakashi said giving his sensei a thumbs up. "Next up is Team 8." Minato ordered as Kurenai began to step up and begin to give Minato her report. " Lord Hokage, Team 8 which includes, Kiba Inazuka, Hinata Hyuuga, and Shino Aburame have passed. Although they have many problems, I think they can get through them." Kurenai reported as Minato nodded. "So what are these problems Kurenai?" Minato asked. "Well lord hokage, Kiba thinks he is above the team and thinks he can order everyone around. He also thinks that he should have been placed on a team with team 7 as he states that it is where "the Elites are." Kurenai said. Minato sighed in defeat. "And the other two?" Minato asked. Kurenai just nods. "Well Hinata is very shy and way too kind for a shinobi. And Shino is very quiet and its like he cant talk at times. But overall if this team can manage through their own difficulties then it will be a very good tracking team Konoha will have." Kurenai said getting nods from everyone. "Okay then, next up will be Team 10." Minato ordered. "I Asuma Sarutobi lead Team 10, which includes Shikamaru Nara, Ino Yamanaka, and Choji Akamichi." Asuma stated while Minato just nods. "Well Team 10 has a lot of talent, but the teamwork could use some work." Asuma said. "So what are the problems Asuma?" Minato said. "Well Shikamaru although he is really smart, he is also really lazy." Asuma said as everyone sighed in the room. The entire world knew how lazy the Nara clan was. So to here the heir of the Nara clan was lazy was not surprising. "Continue." Minato ordered. "Well Ino is very bossy and she is always complaining she isnt on the same team as Menma." Asuma said as many sigh while Minato laughed and Kushina glared. The entire village knew of Ino's crush on Menma since she always boasted about it. "And Choji just spends most of his time eating, but he isnt afraid to work with Shikamaru and they work very well together I might add." Asuma said finishing his report as Minato nods in satisfaction. "Next up is Team 11." Minato said. Genma then steps up. "Well I lead Team 11 which consists of Sasuke Uchiha, Sakura Haruno, Hanabi Hyuuga, and Sai." Genma said getting a nod from Minato. "Well to tell you the truth, I dont know what to even think of this team." Genma said. "What do you mean Genma?" Minato asked. "Well Sasuke is a loner and doesnt get along well with the others. Sakura is always fangirling over him and following him around. She also always asks him for dates." Genma said getting a nod from Minato to continue. "Hanabi is probably the only reason I passed this team since she is like the glue to this team. And Sai is like an enigma all together." Genma said. "Yeah I understand what you mean. Sai was from the root and trained by Danzo so he is a mystery." Minato said as Genma nodded. "Now finally Team 12." Minato said as he was going to be paying extra attention to this report. He wanted to know what his son was capable of and if he passed or not. But he wasnt the only one as Kushina wanted to here the report as well. After the test she hadn't seen him at all, so this would be the time to hear about him and how he was doing. "Well me and Anko here lead Team 12 and lead genins Naruto, Satsuki Uchiha, and Yakumo Kurama." Rin said getting nods from everyone. "Well this team is nothing short of amazing sensei. The three quickly found the meaning of the test. They also worked together yo find out as well." Rin said as Minato nodded. "Yeah, your son also managed to get a bell from me and is the reason his team passed and found out the true meaning of the test." Anko complimented getting shocked looks from everyone. "So tell me about the genin." Minato said. "Well Satsuki is a very confident and independent kunoichi. She also has plans to become a strong kunoichi." Rin said. "Yakumo is a very timid person as she seems to be very kind. She also has dreams of becoming the best genjutsu user in the world." Anko said stepping in as Minato nodded and Kurenai smiled. "Finally up next is Naruto." Rin said as everyone began to focus all their attention on Rin. "Well sensei, Naruto is very reserved and secretive. He doesnt talk to anyone unless he has to, we dont know much about his abilites, and when we were introducing ourselves he said he doesnt like anything, he doesnt dislike anything, and that he doesnt have a goal." Rin explained as Anko nodded as well. Minato nodded in understanding and sighed. "Well thank you all for your reports. You may leave now." Minato said as everyone nodded and left aside from Kushina. "What do we do now Minato?" Kushina asked in a worried voice. "I dont know Kushina." Minato said sadly. "Why didnt you put Naruto on my team Minato?" Kushina asked in an enraged tone. "Well Rin and Ank asked for him first and I couldnt turn them down." Minato said hurriedly. "Fine Minato, but once Naruto becomes a chunin, I better get many missions with him, understand." Kushina yelled out as Minato nodded. "Well lets go home Kushina." Minato said as Kushina nodded. Minato them hugs Kushina and the two teleport home.
