finally peace

Auric was deep asleep and didn't notice. he slept till early afternoon, but didn't move, wanting to stay cuddled with his mate like this for a while longer.

Lana didnt wake for a couple more hours and woke to Auric holding her and obviously awake. She moved away and sat up stretching and yawning. She didnt feel refreshed but at least she didnt feel all that tired anymore. She looked at Auric and smiled. Her hair was a total mess.

He smiled, and licked her cheek with out thinking, a common show of affection amoung wolves. He held her close, enjoying how her skin felt against his. "Feeling better, love?" He nuzzeled her neck, obviously in a good mood after sleeping.

She nodded. "Yep." She felt something in her stomach but paid no mind thinking it was just her hunger telling her she needed to feed again. Once again the miniscule movement came again this time trying to get Aurics attention a little harder. It wasnt moving it just seemed to throw off its aura towards him. It was trying to make a connection through physical contact.

He casually laid her on her back, kissed her a couple times on the cheek and neck, and rested his head on her stomach gently, making it seem like he just wanted to keep touching her bare skin a bit more before they actually got up.

Lana ran her fingers through his hair thinking nothing of his actions. The aura that was coming from her stomach seemed content and if Lana could of seen it she would have a seen a light pink wave of aura let itself rise up as if to nuzzle him.

Auric enjoyed being between the odd aura and his mates fingers in his hair, and he kissed her stomach, meant for both of them to feel it.

Lana looked at him funny as the aura kissed him back in its own way. She was completely oblivious to what was going on.

He didn't want her to catch on, and kissed up her body and neck, ending at her lips, then laying down beside her.

‎'You seem really touchy this morning."

‎"sorry, i'm a bit of a cuddler in the morning...." He smiled at her, and kissed her forehead again.

Lana just shrugged before getting up. She could smell the rest of the pack waiting for them. They had disapeared and came back and it set everybody on edge.

Auric got up and handed her the clothes he took off of her the night before, and redressed himself, waiting for her before leaving the tent. He kept her held close and went to see what the others wanted.

Lana noticed the looks she got from some of the unmated females. They were firm on that fact that she should have never been mated to somebody like Auric. They also wished they were the ones who were.

Auric saw James. "Hey James, what's up? we were thinking about heading back home today."

James just shrugged. "Not much I think I may have to move my pack though. I got a warning that a group of humans are going on a rampage and killing anything thats not human."

‎"Ahh. You get those every once in a while." Auric pulled Lana close to his side. "Ready to head back, Lana? it's about 4 hours away from here."

‎"Yep." She followed Auric as the pack said goodbye. James watched them leave before calling one of his other pack members over. The man walked over and looked at James. "Follow those two and find out where their pack is. Make sure they don't catch onto you." He instructed. The wolf nodded and turned into his animal form before following after the couple at a safe distance.

Auric, following the natural distrust between different wolf packs smirked to Lana. "Lesson one of Pack Life, they will always look for new territory, don't let them follow you, we're heading to a city i know of, spending a day or two there will make our scents so muddied with everyone elses, we won't be able to be traced back to the pack. sound okay to you?" He didn't know if anyone was following him, but he had seen the results of ignoring precautions before, and wouldn't let it be his fault. this pack had more men then his did, and most of his packs fighting force was still injured from the sneak attack on over whelming vampire numbers from a few days ago.

‎"Its fine how can you be sure they'll lose us?"
