Love Begets Love

To everyone: Sorry if I updated just now. I was so busy with a lot of things. But certainly, I did not and will not abandon this story. Thank you for the reviews! Keeps me going! I’ll try to update as soon as I can.

Jeremy woke up to find himself in an unfamiliar room. Someone was caressing his hair. He silently scanned his surroundings and found himself lying in a big bed. He tried to remember what happened. Then everything dawned on him. His baby! He remembered pleading to his grandfather to spare his baby! He remembered Cleo being dragged unconscious from the room. He remembered Gael and his grandfather holding him down while the doctor injected something on him.

“M- my baby…” Jeremy weakly reached for his stomach.

“Jeremy, angel.” He heard the man caressing him gently speak. The voice! He could not be mistaken! There could be no other! “It’s me, angel. It’s Charles, you’re safe.”

“C-Charles? I- is it really you?” Jeremy reached to touch his lover’s face. When he is certain, he cried. “Our baby... p- please tell me what happened… please…” Jeremy was begging for answers. He is no longer concerned of his own health, but of the baby.

“Our baby is fine, angel. Thanks to Dr. Lewis. He helped us.” Charles replied. “Sleep, angel. I know you’re exhausted. I am so proud of you. Dr. Lewis told me how hard you fought for our baby. I love you so much. Everything will be alright now. I promise.”

“Charles, I thought I already lost our baby. Grandpa, he won’t listen to me. He hates you so much.” Tears are starting to fall from Jeremy’s eyes.

“Please, angel. It’s not good for you and our baby. I hate to see you crying. I will make it better. Please, don’t cry anymore. It pains me a lot to see you crying. I will do everything for you and our baby. They will never take you away from me again.” Charles assured him. “Now, I want you to sleep. I will take care of everything, I promise.”

“Y- you will be there when I wake up?” Jeremy asked him.

“Of course angel, I won’t leave your side. I promise.”

“Okay.” Jeremy smiled before closing his eyes again. Seeing Jeremy smile for the first time was heaven for Charles. He knew everything won’t be easy. He knew Rufus William. And he also knew Oliver Castle. They won’t stop until they found Jeremy. He is certain of that. But he would never let that happen. He will do everything to keep his family safe.

Charles knew that he had no time to spare. They have to get out of the country, or all his efforts will be in vain. Though he is not watching the news right now, he is more than certain that Rufus William already reported to the authorities, paying them, and telling lies to them, just to get his grandson back. They only stopped at a nearby hotel to let Jeremy rest for a while, while waiting for their plane. He had everything he needed. Fake passports and visas. They have to travel on their own, hiding their identities. He is just waiting for sometime, their plane will leave in two hours.

Rufus William was beyond furious. He could not believe how he was easily fooled by the doctor. Nobody outwits Rufus William.

“And how could you be so stupid Gael?! Going out without bringing any weapon with you?!” Rufus shouted at his grandson. He still could not believe that Charles Montgomery succeeded in taking Jeremy away.

“Grandpa, I’m so sorry. Everything was beyond my control. You rattled me. You were shouting and you were telling me to bring Jeremy to the hospital. I was confused. I didn’t think.” Gael explained.

“So, it’s my fault?!”

“N- no. I- I’m sorry, grandpa. I- it won’t happen again.” Gael knew this. He will certainly be blamed. In everything he does, he is always wrong.

“I want you to organize our men! You will not stop looking until you find Jeremy! I want him back in this mansion! Nobody, especially a Montgomery snatches my grandson!”

‘As if he is your only grandson.’ Gael thought bitterly. In his years of living with his grandfather, Gael knew Rufus too well. He knew that even if Rufus does not show it, Jeremy is his grandfather’s favorite. Rufus is trying so hard to be tough, making excuses such as business matters to visit Gregory in his house, when in fact he wants to check if Jeremy is well. And Rufus would always pride off his grandson to everybody whenever he gets the chance to bring Jeremy to parties. Rufus was even the one who suggested that Jeremy stays with them while Gregory is out on his business trips. Gael envies his cousin for that. He is the one close to his grandfather, yet his grandfather favors his cousin more. Gael knew that Jeremy reminded Rufus of his favorite son, and almost every body would comment how Adrian and Jeremy looked so much alike. And it pains him to know that he did not get his looks from his father.

“I have to get going, grandpa.” Gael said before leaving.

“Yes, go and do not return unless you bring your cousin with you! I want my grandson back!”

It was then that Oliver Castle arrived.

“Rufus, why did you call for me?” Oliver asked immediately.

Rufus could not tell Oliver what happened on the phone. After knowing of Jeremy’s pregnancy, Rufus contacted Oliver and told him about Jeremy’s condition. The other man however, does not care about it, and just wants Jeremy’s hand in marriage. But like Rufus, Oliver wants the baby gone.

“I- it’s about Jeremy. The doctor, h- he tricked us. He was on Charles’ side.” Rufus explained.

“You mean the doctor was not able to do it?!” Oliver was furious.

“I- I’m sorry, Oliver. Gael said that the doctor made it clear that he was not able to abort the baby.”

“You did not only fail to abort the baby, but you also allowed Charles to snatch away my fiancé?! Rufus, I can’t believe another Montgomery outsmarted you again.”

Upon hearing this, Rufus suddenly bolted. “Speak like that again and I will never allow your marriage with my grandson!”

“Rufus, Rufus, I, I was just kidding.” Oliver explained. He could not allow that. His reputation will be put to so much shame! When Rufus told him that he already agreed to his proposal, Oliver spared no time and announced to the whole world of his upcoming engagement with Jeremy

Oliver Castle is a very wealthy man. He had a lot of affairs with men and women and he married and divorced three times already. He never had a child of his own. He saw Jeremy when the young man was only thirteen. He immediately asked Gregory for Jeremy’s hand in marriage. Upon hearing this, Gregory was so mad at him and told him that he will never allow his son to be corrupted by a man who could already be his father. Gregory called him a pervert and Oliver was really insulted. He was so mad that he wanted to pull Gregory down. Nobody denies him. Parents of other young men and women would even kneel at his feet for him to show attention to their sons and daughters. But Gregory was different. From then on, he told himself that no matter what the cost, he will have Jeremy to show to his father that he can have anyone he wanted. It was not love, but lust and revenge, why Oliver wanted to have Jeremy.

Several times in the past, he tried to get near Jeremy, but either Gregory, or his guard Cleo, was always on Jeremy’s side.

All Oliver wanted was to have a taste of the young beauty, make him his, use him in any way imaginable. He just could not wait to have Jeremy in his bed. He was a bit shocked to learn that Jeremy is pregnant, because most of the time he was even thinking of crooked ways how to de virginize the younger man. Okay, so Charles Montgomery beat him to that. Jeremy was no longer the virgin that he imagined. But Oliver thought that it would be exciting to have someone as young and beautiful as Jeremy as his spouse. Jeremy would be paying dearly for giving himself to Charles. Oliver just can’t wait to have his arms full of the young beauty.

Rufus had asked a lot of favors from Oliver in the past and Oliver never hesitated to give him all he wanted. Aside from the fact that Oliver is very rich, that was the main reason why he could not say no to Oliver when Oliver first approached him and told him of his intentions to his grandson.

Now that Gregory is dead, Oliver swore to himself that no one could stop him from having Jeremy.

It was not easy for Charles and Jeremy to fly out of the country, but they were able to make it. There were guards on the airport, but they were able to get past them. Charles was prepared for anything. If he failed, he knew he would get this chance again. And he would lose both Jeremy and their baby.

Charles was so happy to have Jeremy on his side on the plane. At long last they are free. He will have all the time to dote on his young lover. Like Jeremy, he left everything at home. He just took more than enough money for him and Jeremy to start a new life. Except for his brother, no one from his family and friends knew where they are heading. He would not risk this chance to be happy with his true love. He knew that Jeremy also left everything for him. And Jeremy is still grieving for his father. So he wants to make him occupied and happy.
