A/N: Remember Zachariah and Dryden had a first name. This is my first time typing this, please go easy on me. On with the story.

Dryden was watching as the water flowed by in the small stream. Earlier he had pulled his shirt on, now it was dark outside the cave. Ari had just come back from talking to Luka, “Is he alright?” He had caught Aiden’s hushed question.
“It’s almost gone.”
Zachariah sighed, “Someone is going to have to tell Dryden.” Dryden felt his heart stop, “If it wasn’t for Luka, we most likely would be dead.” Oh no what happened out there is Luka really alright? “Do you two know what language it was that he spoke?”
Aiden spoke up, “It’s a dead language. His mother could speak it fluently so he learned it from her. We don’t even know the name of the language.” Dryden looked at the entrance that Ari had come from. Glancing down at the water he noticed it was deep enough for him to crouch in. Standing up he walked over to the bags and started to dig through his brother’s bag. Once he found what he was looking for he quietly walked back over to the stream. He looked to see if no one was watching and he slipped in without a sound.
Ari turned around to see if Dryden was doing alright only to find him gone, “Hey did anyone see where Dryden went?”
Zachariah glanced over and sighed, “I know where he went.”
“Where?”
Aiden sighed and looked at her, “Luka.”
“Luka is so dead when Dryden gets a hold of him.” Ari nodded her head when Aiden spoke.
Zachariah chuckled and leaned back. He pulled out a box and tapped it against his leg, “So…… where in the forest do you guys live at?” Pulling out a cigarette he placed it in his mouth, tapped the end with his finger and it lit. Both Ari and Aiden looked at him, “What? I smoke; I can breathe fire, too.”
“You can?” Aiden shook his head as Ari started to ask him questions.

When Dryden was in the cavern he came up and pulled a black item from his mouth. Pulling himself out he walked over to the spring, he saw Luka’s bag and stuff on the ground. Checking the straps on the black item that he wrapped around his neck he placed it in his mouth. The black item was a breathing device; his brother carried it on him so that if he needed to catch fish he could. It was small and looked like a circle with inch long silver parts sticking out on both sides of it. Dryden walked back over to the stream and slipping in he swam out in to the spring. Biting down on it he was able to breathe under water.
He could see Luka floating in the water face down. When he was close he wacked him on the head, Luka grabbed his head and looked around. His eyes found Dryden’s and he gave a sheepish smile at the glare on Dryden’s face. Dryden turned and swam up; Luka sighed and followed after him. Once he was above water Dryden pulled the device off. “I should kick yer ass.” Luka sighed as Dryden started to yell at him, “I told ya not to get in the way, but no ya had to get in the way.”
Luka sighed and watched as Dryden swam to a shallow part of the spring, noticing it was close to the boulder, “Dryden if I hadn’t, you would have killed your brother.” Luka swam after him and stood on the edge of the underwater shelf.
Dryden stopped and scowled at him, “Idiot!” he waded through the water up to him, “He would have stopped me.”
“To me it looked like you were about to turn him in to shish kabob.”
“I can’t explain it; I could never get it myself.” Sighing he glanced around, then he remembered. “The wound let me see it.”
Luka gave him a guarded look. “Why?”
“Fine I’ll show ya what I’m going to do, can I see yer knife.”
“Dagger.”
“Ok fine I’ll use…”
“No! I’ll show you the wound.” Luka remembered the last time Dryden had his dagger.
“Gees make up yer mind.” He watched as Luka moved something from his side.
“I had to cover it, it was starting to burn.”
“I did that?”
Luka blinked and looked down at the wound, four long cut marks stretched along the side of his waist. “It’s not as bad as it looks.” Dryden hung his head, “It’ll heal.” Luka was wading over to the bank as he said this. “It’s just taking longer than normal.” He turned to look at Dryden only to step back; the small teen was right in front of him. “How the hell do you do that?”
“I’ve been trained to be quiet.” He started to poke him, “That’s not the point, what if yer dead?” Luka found himself pushed up against the boulder. “When yer dead, yer dead! There no second chance!”
“You think I don’t know that!” Dryden let his head fall against Luka’s chest; he could hear him breathing and his heart beating.
“I can’t lose anyone else, not again.” His head started to throb. “Please, not again.” Luka sighed and he wrapped his arms around him. “Let me fix what I’ve done.”
“Let me get dried off and you can do whatever you want.”

Aiden yawned, “Zachariah, who’s Troy?” Both of them snapped their heads toward Ari.
“How do you know about Troy?”
“That’s what your guys’ dad called Dryden that one time.” Ari was sitting there with Blue Fire in her lap. “Not to mention he kept calling saying Dryden as if he was a third person.”
Aiden grabbed the bag of jerky and pulled a strip out, “I think it’s a split personality.”
“Troy was a person.” Zachariah stood up and walked over to the sand rail, he picked his bag up. Once he was back at the fire, he sat down. “To be more precise,” He pulled a picture out and handed it to Ari, “Dryden’s twin and the original heir.” She looked down at the picture. Two boys stood next to each other, both of them were glaring at a teen and a young man. “That was taken before Troy was killed. Mother gave it to me to find Dryden.” Three of them had white hair while the other one had dark brown hair. But the one she noticed was the one with amethyst eyes, all the other people had green eyes. The two boys looked just alike.
“Find Dryden, weren’t you looking for help.” Ari asked.
“Oops, you weren’t supposed to find that out.”
“You guys knew he was alive!” Aiden sighed and took a bite of the jerky.
“Yes, we knew he was alive. We kinda figured that out when they sent people to our village looking for him.” Aiden took the picture from her and looked at it, he handed it back to Zachariah. “Back to what I was saying, since both of them are twins either one could be the heir. Troy was picked because he was the stronger one while Dryden was the smarter one. He would work next to Troy.” Zachariah gave a sad smile. “But Troy was better at telling if someone was up to no good, he had the ability to read people. When he came to tell us that Dryden was in trouble and that father was up to something, we didn’t believe he.”
“Why didn’t you believe him?” Aiden asked him.
“Troy and father were always fighting.” He picked up a stick he had found earlier and started to poke at the fire. “So we just assumed that…”
“Ari.” She closed her mouth and glared at Aiden, he was laying on his back with the jerky in his mouth. She caught the look in his eyes, “So what else happed?”
Zachariah sighed and cracked his knuckles, flexing them afterwards. “I don’t know how it happened, but all I know is that Troy somehow dragged Dryden’s half dead body home. It looked like a wild bear attack.” He placed the stick down and pulled a box out, “I was only fourteen then about three months from losing my baby name.” a lit cigarette was hanging from his mouth.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A door slammed open. Darian, a young man with dark brown hair and dark green eyes, was carrying a child in his arms. He had three red marks across his nose. Blood dripped along the floor, “Is he alright?” Another man asked as he came in with another child, he had dark blue hair that was always messy and crystal blue eyes “Troy won’t rest till he knows.”
“Spike place him on the other bed.” He turned to find a tall and lanky teen standing in the doorway, his forest green eyes were focused on the blood covering the ground, “Didn’t I just tell you to go get mom!”
The white haired teen stood straighter, he turned and ran out the door. ‘Kegan, Troy, don’t die.’
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Baby name?” His mind snapped back and he looked at Ari.
“When you lose a baby tooth you get a new one, it’s the same for our names. Three different ways for get our adult names,” Zachariah counted off on his fingers, “the parents, the dragon spirit, and someone close to that person.”
Aiden was sitting up now, “Dragon spirit?”
Zachariah held his hand out as flame appeared and then it took the form of a dragon. Both of them watched as the dragon like flame flickered and disappeared. “Dryden can keep it longer. All of us have one.” He shifted on the spot, “somehow Troy’s spirit is wrapped around the dragon’s spirit. Before he died he said he was going to protect Dryden till he was capable of taking care of himself.” Pulling the cigarette from his mouth he tipped his head to the side, “After he woke up, thanks to Spike giving him some of his blood, the shock of losing his brother hit him hard. Once he was healed his mood started to change, he wouldn’t let father come near him at all.”
Standing up he picked his bag up and walked over to the sand rail. Placing it back with the rest of the bags, he walked back over to the fire and sat down. “So what happened?”
“Father would get pissed. All this happened for about two months and then mother asked her sister to block his memories.” Zachariah sighed and smirked, “Everything about Troy was gone, except for Troy’s spirit. After that everything went back to somewhat normal. I’d advise you don’t say anything about Troy.”
Ari looked over at Aiden and then she asked, “Why?”
“Because his head will start to hurt, his mind is trying to figure out who it is but that block is keeping him from remembering.” Zachariah stood up and stretched, “Well I’ll answer more of your questions tomorrow, I’m tired.” He turned and walked over to where the bedrolls were at. Flopping onto his bedroll he kept his back to them. ‘What is going to happen next?’ He quickly snuffed out the cigarette and closed his eyes.
^^^^^^
Dryden leaned back against the boulder and looked over at Luka, his back was to him. “Luka.” He turned and looked at him.
“What is it?” Luka had a cloth in his hand. He went back to rubbing at his face. He heard movement and looking, he found Dryden knelt next to him.
“I was going to show you something.” Dryden held his hand over the cut on Luka’s side. Luka watched as a warm flame engulfed Dryden’s hand. It didn’t burn him but it felt warm. The long and deep cuts slowly disappeared, “If it’s too hot tell me.” The red head smiled and placed the cloth down. “After this we should go and get some rest, we gotta leave in the morning.” When the small teen pulled his hand away Luka grabbed it and pulled him closer.
“Let’s stay here just you and me.” Dryden looked at the hard ground.
“What about my bedroll, it’s back with the others.” Luka lightly caressed his face and smiled.
“We can share one, besides,” he stood up and pulled Dryden to his feet, “I want to spend some time with you.” He pulled him along till he got to his bedroll. Luka kicked it open and motioned for Dryden to lay down, “With the way we’re traveling we should make it to Last Forest in the next few days,” Pulling a blanket out of his bag he gave it to Dryden, “Let me get my pants on and I’ll lay down.” Dryden sat on the bedroll watching as Luka pulled his pants on, he liked to watch him. Luka placed his hand in his pocket and sighed, “Dryden,” Turning he knelt down in front of him, “let me see your leg.”
“Why do ya want to see my leg?”
Luka smiled and motioned with his hand, “You’ll see.”
Dryden gave him a wary look. Uncurling his legs he sat with his knees bent, “What are ya going to do?”
“You’ll see.”
He grabbed one of Dryden’s legs and pulled on it. Once he the foot in his lap, Luka pulled something out of his pocket and wrapped it twice around his ankle. When he was done Dryden pulled his leg back and stared at it. “What is it?”
“That chest you open, that was inside it. Since you opened the chest, then this is yours.”
“Mine?”
“Yep.”
“I’ve never… well there are the shirts from Ari but… not something like this… Thanks.” Dryden ran his hand over the silver anklet his finger brushed over one of the clear jewels.
Luka sat next to him and smiled, “No problem.” Dryden kissed him on the cheek. Watching as Dryden lay down next to him, he grabbed a blanket and unfolded it. He laid down next to him, pulling the blanket up over the both of them. Dryden twisted his whole body till he was pushed up against him.
“Luka.” He heard a sound and looked up at him; golden brown eyes were staring down at him. Fingering the green stone around his neck, he asked. “Can you take it off, just for the night?”
“Okay.” Luka pulled it off and placed it on the ground on the other side of Dryden. The smaller teen leaned up and kissed Luka’s neck, “Dryden what are you doing?” Hell he didn’t know he just wanted to so he did. He started licking at the mark on Luka’s neck, and then he bit down. Luka groaned and tipped his head to the side, his hand gripped Dryden’s shirt. It was still damp, but he could feel the heat coming off of Dryden. He slid his hand up Dryden’s shirt pushing it up as he caressed his skin and causing Dryden to purr against his throat. Flipping him on his back Luka pulled back and looked down at him.
“Luka.” Luka leaned forward. He could feel the puff of air on his face. Luka kissed him, it was a deep kiss one that had the smaller body melting under him. “We should… stop.” he gasped out as soon as Luka pulled away. Luka was nipping at his jaw and working over to his neck.
“Do you want to stop?” he murmured. Dryden shivered as Luka’s hand ghosted over his skin.
“What if…” his shirt was pulled off, “someone comes in?” Luka chuckled and nipped at his neck. Then he started to tease Dryden’s ears, “Nnn…”
“Then let them. Feel good?” The small teen shivered and took a deep breath, “Want to stop?” Dryden gave a soft moan and turned his head to the side. Luka pulled back and Dryden turned his head to look at him. They both smiled and Luka laid his forehead against Dryden’s. He could feel the silver band wrapped around his forehead, Luka lifted his head up and kissed his temple. “Any time you want to stop just say so.” A shiver racked Dryden’s body as he felt Luka’s breath caressed his skin.
Dryden let his arms fall from Luka’s shoulders. Luka nipped at his neck, his tongue moved over the spot and then he bit down. Pulling his neck away he gave him a look, “Ya bit me.”
He gave a sheepish look, “Sorry.” Luka lightly caressed his fingers over Dryden’s hip as he leaned to one side of him. Luka kissed at his exposed collar bone and locking eyes with Dryden’s, he smirked. The small teen cried out and arched his back; Luka had latched onto one nipple as his free hand teased the other. Luka shucked off the blanket as Dryden’s hand reached up and tangled in his hair. Dryden was panting as Luka switched to the other nipple.
“Luka…” Dryden had sat up when Luka went to pull his shorts down. Luka smiled and kissed him, pushing him on to his back. The small teen moaned as Luka rubbed his tongue over his. Without his knowing Luka pulled his shorts off and ran his hand over his bare leg.
‘Huh?’ he pulled away and looked down, Dryden wore only shorts with nothing underneath. His molten gold eyes stared at Dryden, he looked away to hide his blush. His heart felt like it was going to come out of his chest.
The small teen sat up, “OH shit!” and tangled his hands in Luka’s flame red hair. Luka moved his mouth along Dryden’s length, causing the small teen to jerk his hips up. “Haah… ahh!” Luka held them still as he pulled away and glanced up at Dryden. “Please… it’s hot…” His amethyst eyes were a dark purple and half lidded. Luka gripped him and started to move his hand along his cock, ‘Why is it so hot?’
Luka slipped two fingers in his mouth and sucked on them till they were wet. “Lay down.” Dryden laid back and gasped as Luka went back to sucking on him.
“Ah… Luka!” he covered his mouth when he shouted. His hand muffled the cries as the other tugged at Luka’s hair. It was getting to hot he couldn’t take it anymore, and them the mouth was gone. He lay there panting, Luka pulled his hand from his hair and he sat up kissing his hand. Dryden stiffened went he felt something rub at his entrance, Luka was once again stroking him as he pushed his finger in. “Nnn…”
Soon he was pulling and pushing trying to stretch him. “You need to relax.”
Dryden pulled his arms up to cover his face, “It feels… weird… so hot…” his whole body was quivering as Luka kept moving that finger deeper.
“That’s good.” His hand moved faster and Dryden gasped out.
“Please… it’s too hot…” Luka slipped a second finger in and crooked his fingers, “Luka… please…”
“Does this feel good?” Dryden’s whole body jolted up off the ground as Luka’s finger brushed over a certain spot.
“Ye…ah!” Luke rubbed over it as he stretched him causing Dryden to writhe and moan. “Oh fuck…” Dryden covered his mouth to muffle his cries, “nnn…” Luka slipped a third finger in and kept moving over that spot. Tossing his head from side to side, he jerked up into Luka’s hand. He was so close, moving his hands from his mouth. “So… hot” he clawed at the bedroll and then tossing his head back he cried out, as he came all over his stomach and Luka’s hand. Dryden glanced at Luka only he wasn’t able to keep his eyes from Luka’s molten gold eyes. Watching as Luka looked at his hand, the older teen licked up the side of it.
Luka quickly pulled his shorts off and grabbed the vile of oil next to him. He started panting as he covered himself with the oil. Dryden groaned as he watched. Gently moving his legs he pushed them open wider, he sat there looking at him, “You sure about this?” He nodded and watched as Luka gave him a few quick strokes. “Relax.” Luka gently pushed at his entrance, Dryden stiffened and winced as Luka pushed past the first ring of muscle. “Breathe.”
“I’m trying.” He could feel his eyes water from the pain, a small whimper escaped past his lips.
“Dryden…”
“I’m fine, just hurts a lil’ that’s all.” Luke nodded and caressed his leg, he pushed till he was fully in. It felt weird but full. Both teens stayed like that panting. Dryden reached up; Luka smiled and leaned over to kiss him. It was soft and then it grew heated, pulling back Luka quickly kissed him on the cheek.
“It gets better I promise.”
“I know.” He nodded, “I’m ready.” He cried out as Luka pulled out and trusted back in. Luka groaned as he started to move. “Ah…”
“Dryden.” Dryden reached up and wrapped his arms around his neck pulling Luka closer. This caused him to shift a little and when he pushed back in. He bumped against a bundle of nerves that caused Dryden to jerk his hips up, as he let his head fall back exposing his neck.
“Oh fuck! Luka…” Luka lightly kissed over the scar, “more… please more!” Dryden dug his nails in to Luka’s back as he moved faster. Hissing in pain he nipped at the small body’s neck. He could feel it building, it was getting hotter. “Faster…”
Luka groaned as he moved faster, he glanced at Dryden’s face. He was flushed in his face; blue hair clung to his face, as he stared up at Luka with hooded dark purple eyes. He moved to met each of Luka’s trusts, Luka moaned when Dryden started to grip him tightly. Dryden was writhing under him, panting and begging for more.
“Luka!” His whole body was on fire now, “Ah… fuck so… so good!” Luka claimed his lip, swallowing every moan. He pushed his tongue past Dryden’s lips. Dryden curled his tongue around Luka’s and moaned when he somehow ended up with him sucking on his tongue. Luka pulled back and nipped at his bottom lip. “Luka please I can’t… so hot…” Reaching between them he gripped Dryden’s weeping cock in his hand and started jerking him off in time with him trusting. “Ah!” Dryden tossed his head back, eyes wide. It was too much he couldn’t take it, he felt his toes curl. Luka felt Dryden’s whole body shudder, he cried out Luka’s name as he came all over both of them.
Luka shouted as Dryden’s muscles clamped down on him. Dryden shivered and moaned as he felt Luka release inside of him. They both laid there pant, pulling out he dropped onto the bedroll next to Dryden. “Dryden, you okay?” It was quiet; he turned his head to see Dryden panting. “Hey, are you okay?” Dryden cracked one eye and smiled weakly.
“Just tired.” Luka smiled and gently pulled him closer, he heard Dryden whisper, “Love ya.” Dryden quickly fell to sleep with Luka running his fingers through his sweat matted hair. Grabbing the blanket he pulled it up and over the both of them. He closed his eyes and rested his head on his arm.
“Love you, too”
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Dryden slowly woke up; he blinked a couple of times and looked around. It was brighter now. That’s right he was with Luka last night and we…… Holy shit they had sex! Sitting up he winced and groaned, ‘Ouches, that part of me is really sore.’ He looked around for Luka, after that he had to tell him know. Just in case something happened. ‘How do ya tell someone that?’
“Hey you’re up!” Dryden looked over to see a grinning Luka; his head was resting on his arms as he leaned on the bank. “Your clothes are next to you.” Looking over he found his bag on the ground next to him. He grabbed his shorts and pulled them on, then pulling out a gray long sleeve he pulled that on.
Grabbing his vest he stood up and walked over to him, “Luka did we… last night?”
“Yeah, don’t tell me you’re having second thoughts.”
“No I’m not; I just want to tell you something. I think we should wait till we get to the village to do anymore.”
Luka climbed out and stood in front of him, “Why?” Dryden blushed and looked away.
“I’m a…” he bit down on his thumbnail and looked at the ground. Luka grabbed his hand and lifted his head up.
“What is it?”
“I’m a Carrier.”
“Okay… what’s that?” Luka let go of his hand and walked over to his pants, he pulled them on over his black shorts. By the time he had his shirts on his skin was back to normal.
“Yer an idiot.” He took a deep breath and let it out.
“So I’ve been told,” he turned around, “you going to tell me what a Carrier is.”
“I can have kids.”
Luka blinked and then everything registered in his head, “Kids?”
“Yes.” He watched as Luka crumpled to the ground out cold. “Luka!” he rushed over and looked at him, “Luka.” He checked his pulse and made sure he was breathing, “wake up Luka.” Standing up, he pulled his vest one and ran out of the cavern. ‘I need to get help.’
When Luka open his eyes he was met with a sharp pain in the back of his head. “Ow…”
“About time you woke up.” He turned to see Aiden looking at him. “Dryden thinks you might not like him anymore.”
“What?” He had sat up only to stop and grab his head, “I can’t hate him.”
“So what did he tell you?”
“That’s what I would like to know.” Luka turned to see Zachariah looking at him, a cigarette hung from his mouth. The look on his face had Luka fearing for his life a little.
“He told me he could have kids.” Zachariah sighed and shook his head, “I don’t hate him. I was just shocked after meeting Dryden I gave up on that idea.” He scratched his head. “I don’t get it; I thought only shifter and demon males could have kids.”
Zachariah sighed and shook his head, “Only a certain amount of males can have kids. We have females there’s just more males than females.”
“Okay but how is it that…”
“If I were to group ten Dragconians together seven would be male and two female. Three of those males will be able to give birth to kids. We don’t know why, just that it’s to make up for the lack of females.”
Aiden nodded, “Now I see, so what about Dryden?”
“Oh he can have kids, he just been denying it up till now.”
“Why?” Both teens asked.
“Because it’s the one thing father hated about me.” Dryden was standing behind Zachariah, who had jumped at the sound of Dryden’s voice.
“What the hell? You scared the shit out of me.” He caught sight of Dryden’s thumb and he grabbed his hand, “What have I told you about biting, the last thing we need you doing is taking your nail off like last time.”
He snatched his hand back, “I can’t help it, like you can’t help smoking.” Turning around he folded his arms.
“Well I got to get things ready,” Aiden said as he stood and grabbed Luka’s and Dryden’s bags. “We leave in a few minutes, Zachariah I need your help with the map.”
“Sure sure.” He stood and followed. Soon it was just Luka and Dryden again.
“Dryden.” His body stiffened, Luka was standing behind him now. He sighed and wrapped his arm around the small teen’s shoulders. Burying his face in the short part of his hair he whispered, “You are you now matter what.” He felt something wet fall on his arm, “Dryden?”
Dryden reached up and rubbed at his face, “I’ve got something in my eye.” Luka smiled and nuzzled his neck, kissing the scar that was from the metal collar from long ago.
“I still love you.” Dryden took a ragged breath and squeezed Luka’s arm. They stood there as Dryden let his tears fall. He still wasn’t use to crying, “Come on let’s go, the others are waiting.”
^^^^^^^^^^^^
It’s been three days since then and now they were outside the forest. Dryden walked up and stood on the edge. He turned to them, “I’m going ahead.”
“Mother should be waiting at the grounds.”
“I know.” Zachariah walked up and placed something in his hand.
“Call Demi you should get there fast.” He looked at the others; they had camouflaged the sand rail and made it look like it was part of the trees. Hanging the dog whistle around his neck he smiled, “You can do this. I know you can, remember focus.”
He nodded and felt Luka pick him up from the ground, “Come back ok.”
“I’ll find ya.”
“Good.” He kissed Dryden and placed him on the ground, Ari and Aiden stood off to the side with Zachariah.
“You can do it Dryden, leave the village to us.” Ari said happily, “Just make sure you do your part.”
“I will.”
Aiden rubbed the back of his head, pushing his hat forward some. He took it off and ran a hand through his light brown hair. “You better come back or Luka will start crying like a baby again.”
Luka snatched his hat off and put the older teen in a head lock, “What was it you just said?”
“Give back my hat.” Dryden sighed and put the whistle to his lips. He gave a soft blow and then taking a deep breath he blew into the whistle. Ari clamped her hands over her ears and glared at Dryden.
“Sorry Ari.”
There was howl and smiling Dryden turned to disappear into the trees. Zachariah counted as a high pitch whistle echoed out of the woods. “Let’s go.”

Oh fuck… that was one of the hardest chapters I’ve ever written. I think that scene between Dryden and Luka wasn’t that good but it just mean I have to get better, right? Well let’s just hope I can finish part one of this book before I move. The next few days I will be packing so I might be late on this next chapter. Tell me what ya think I want the brutal truth. Oh and my story Jewel of Pure Light will be up some time soon so keep an eye out for that.

A/N: Remember Zachariah and Dryden had a first name. This is my first time typing this, please go easy on me. On with the story.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dryden was watching as the water flowed by in the small stream. Earlier he had pulled his shirt on, now it was dark outside the cave. Ari had just come back from talking to Luka, “Is he alright?” He had caught Aiden’s hushed question.
“It’s almost gone.”
Zachariah sighed, “Someone is going to have to tell Dryden.” Dryden felt his heart stop, “If it wasn’t for Luka, we most likely would be dead.” Oh no what happened out there is Luka really alright? “Do you two know what language it was that he spoke?”
Aiden spoke up, “It’s a dead language. His mother could speak it fluently so he learned it from her. We don’t even know the name of the language.” Dryden looked at the entrance that Ari had come from. Glancing down at the water he noticed it was deep enough for him to crouch in. Standing up he walked over to the bags and started to dig through his brother’s bag. Once he found what he was looking for he quietly walked back over to the stream. He looked to see if no one was watching and he slipped in without a sound.
Ari turned around to see if Dryden was doing alright only to find him gone, “Hey did anyone see where Dryden went?”
Zachariah glanced over and sighed, “I know where he went.”
“Where?”
Aiden sighed and looked at her, “Luka.”
“Luka is so dead when Dryden gets a hold of him.” Ari nodded her head when Aiden spoke.
Zachariah chuckled and leaned back. He pulled out a box and tapped it against his leg, “So…… where in the forest do you guys live at?” Pulling out a cigarette he placed it in his mouth, tapped the end with his finger and it lit. Both Ari and Aiden looked at him, “What? I smoke; I can breathe fire, too.”
“You can?” Aiden shook his head as Ari started to ask him questions.
When Dryden was in the cavern he came up and pulled a black item from his mouth. Pulling himself out he walked over to the spring, he saw Luka’s bag and stuff on the ground. Checking the straps on the black item that he wrapped around his neck he placed it in his mouth. The black item was a breathing device; his brother carried it on him so that if he needed to catch fish he could. It was small and looked like a circle with inch long silver parts sticking out on both sides of it. Dryden walked back over to the stream and slipping in he swam out in to the spring. Biting down on it he was able to breathe under water.
He could see Luka floating in the water face down. When he was close he wacked him on the head, Luka grabbed his head and looked around. His eyes found Dryden’s and he gave a sheepish smile at the glare on Dryden’s face. Dryden turned and swam up; Luka sighed and followed after him. Once he was above water Dryden pulled the device off. “I should kick yer ass.” Luka sighed as Dryden started to yell at him, “I told ya not to get in the way, but no ya had to get in the way.”
Luka sighed and watched as Dryden swam to a shallow part of the spring, noticing it was close to the boulder, “Dryden if I hadn’t, you would have killed your brother.” Luka swam after him and stood on the edge of the underwater shelf.
Dryden stopped and scowled at him, “Idiot!” he waded through the water up to him, “He would have stopped me.”
“To me it looked like you were about to turn him in to shish kabob.”
“I can’t explain it; I could never get it myself.” Sighing he glanced around, then he remembered. “The wound let me see it.”
Luka gave him a guarded look. “Why?”
“Fine I’ll show ya what I’m going to do, can I see yer knife.”
“Dagger.”
“Ok fine I’ll use…”
“No! I’ll show you the wound.” Luka remembered the last time Dryden had his dagger.
“Gees make up yer mind.” He watched as Luka moved something from his side.
“I had to cover it, it was starting to burn.”
“I did that?”
Luka blinked and looked down at the wound, four long cut marks stretched along the side of his waist. “It’s not as bad as it looks.” Dryden hung his head, “It’ll heal.” Luka was wading over to the bank as he said this. “It’s just taking longer than normal.” He turned to look at Dryden only to step back; the small teen was right in front of him. “How the hell do you do that?”
“I’ve been trained to be quiet.” He started to poke him, “That’s not the point, what if yer dead?” Luka found himself pushed up against the boulder. “When yer dead, yer dead! There no second chance!”
“You think I don’t know that!” Dryden let his head fall against Luka’s chest; he could hear him breathing and his heart beating.
“I can’t lose anyone else, not again.” His head started to throb. “Please, not again.” Luka sighed and he wrapped his arms around him. “Let me fix what I’ve done.”
“Let me get dried off and you can do whatever you want.”
Aiden yawned, “Zachariah, who’s Troy?” Both of them snapped their heads toward Ari.
“How do you know about Troy?”
“That’s what your guys’ dad called Dryden that one time.” Ari was sitting there with Blue Fire in her lap. “Not to mention he kept calling saying Dryden as if he was a third person.”
Aiden grabbed the bag of jerky and pulled a strip out, “I think it’s a split personality.”
“Troy was a person.” Zachariah stood up and walked over to the sand rail, he picked his bag up. Once he was back at the fire, he sat down. “To be more precise,” He pulled a picture out and handed it to Ari, “Dryden’s twin and the original heir.” She looked down at the picture. Two boys stood next to each other, both of them were glaring at a teen and a young man. “That was taken before Troy was killed. Mother gave it to me to find Dryden.” Three of them had white hair while the other one had dark brown hair. But the one she noticed was the one with amethyst eyes, all the other people had green eyes. The two boys looked just alike.
“Find Dryden, weren’t you looking for help.” Ari asked.
“Oops, you weren’t supposed to find that out.”
“You guys knew he was alive!” Aiden sighed and took a bite of the jerky.
“Yes, we knew he was alive. We kinda figured that out when they sent people to our village looking for him.” Aiden took the picture from her and looked at it, he handed it back to Zachariah. “Back to what I was saying, since both of them are twins either one could be the heir. Troy was picked because he was the stronger one while Dryden was the smarter one. He would work next to Troy.” Zachariah gave a sad smile. “But Troy was better at telling if someone was up to no good, he had the ability to read people. When he came to tell us that Dryden was in trouble and that father was up to something, we didn’t believe he.”
“Why didn’t you believe him?” Aiden asked him.
“Troy and father were always fighting.” He picked up a stick he had found earlier and started to poke at the fire. “So we just assumed that…”
“Ari.” She closed her mouth and glared at Aiden, he was laying on his back with the jerky in his mouth. She caught the look in his eyes, “So what else happed?”
Zachariah sighed and cracked his knuckles, flexing them afterwards. “I don’t know how it happened, but all I know is that Troy somehow dragged Dryden’s half dead body home. It looked like a wild bear attack.” He placed the stick down and pulled a box out, “I was only fourteen then about three months from losing my baby name.” a lit cigarette was hanging from his mouth.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A door slammed open. Darian, a young man with dark brown hair and dark green eyes, was carrying a child in his arms. He had three red marks across his nose. Blood dripped along the floor, “Is he alright?” Another man asked as he came in with another child, he had dark blue hair that was always messy and crystal blue eyes “Troy won’t rest till he knows.”
“Spike place him on the other bed.” He turned to find a tall and lanky teen standing in the doorway, his forest green eyes were focused on the blood covering the ground, “Didn’t I just tell you to go get mom!”
The white haired teen stood straighter, he turned and ran out the door. ‘Kegan, Troy, don’t die.’
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Baby name?” His mind snapped back and he looked at Ari.
“When you lose a baby tooth you get a new one, it’s the same for our names. Three different ways for get our adult names,” Zachariah counted off on his fingers, “the parents, the dragon spirit, and someone close to that person.”
Aiden was sitting up now, “Dragon spirit?”
Zachariah held his hand out as flame appeared and then it took the form of a dragon. Both of them watched as the dragon like flame flickered and disappeared. “Dryden can keep it longer. All of us have one.” He shifted on the spot, “somehow Troy’s spirit is wrapped around the dragon’s spirit. Before he died he said he was going to protect Dryden till he was capable of taking care of himself.” Pulling the cigarette from his mouth he tipped his head to the side, “After he woke up, thanks to Spike giving him some of his blood, the shock of losing his brother hit him hard. Once he was healed his mood started to change, he wouldn’t let father come near him at all.”
Standing up he picked his bag up and walked over to the sand rail. Placing it back with the rest of the bags, he walked back over to the fire and sat down. “So what happened?”
“Father would get pissed. All this happened for about two months and then mother asked her sister to block his memories.” Zachariah sighed and smirked, “Everything about Troy was gone, except for Troy’s spirit. After that everything went back to somewhat normal. I’d advise you don’t say anything about Troy.”
Ari looked over at Aiden and then she asked, “Why?”
“Because his head will start to hurt, his mind is trying to figure out who it is but that block is keeping him from remembering.” Zachariah stood up and stretched, “Well I’ll answer more of your questions tomorrow, I’m tired.” He turned and walked over to where the bedrolls were at. Flopping onto his bedroll he kept his back to them. ‘What is going to happen next?’ He quickly snuffed out the cigarette and closed his eyes.
Dryden leaned back against the boulder and looked over at Luka, his back was to him. “Luka.” He turned and looked at him.
“What is it?” Luka had a cloth in his hand. He went back to rubbing at his face. He heard movement and looking, he found Dryden knelt next to him.
“I was going to show you something.” Dryden held his hand over the cut on Luka’s side. Luka watched as a warm flame engulfed Dryden’s hand. It didn’t burn him but it felt warm. The long and deep cuts slowly disappeared, “If it’s too hot tell me.” The red head smiled and placed the cloth down. “After this we should go and get some rest, we gotta leave in the morning.” When the small teen pulled his hand away Luka grabbed it and pulled him closer.
“Let’s stay here just you and me.” Dryden looked at the hard ground.
“What about my bedroll, it’s back with the others.” Luka lightly caressed his face and smiled.
“We can share one, besides,” he stood up and pulled Dryden to his feet, “I want to spend some time with you.” He pulled him along till he got to his bedroll. Luka kicked it open and motioned for Dryden to lay down, “With the way we’re traveling we should make it to Last Forest in the next few days,” Pulling a blanket out of his bag he gave it to Dryden, “Let me get my pants on and I’ll lay down.” Dryden sat on the bedroll watching as Luka pulled his pants on, he liked to watch him. Luka placed his hand in his pocket and sighed, “Dryden,” Turning he knelt down in front of him, “let me see your leg.”
“Why do ya want to see my leg?”
Luka smiled and motioned with his hand, “You’ll see.”
Dryden gave him a wary look. Uncurling his legs he sat with his knees bent, “What are ya going to do?”
“You’ll see.”
He grabbed one of Dryden’s legs and pulled on it. Once he the foot in his lap, Luka pulled something out of his pocket and wrapped it twice around his ankle. When he was done Dryden pulled his leg back and stared at it. “What is it?”
“That chest you open, that was inside it. Since you opened the chest, then this is yours.”
“Mine?”
“Yep.”
“I’ve never… well there are the shirts from Ari but… not something like this… Thanks.” Dryden ran his hand over the silver anklet his finger brushed over one of the clear jewels.
Luka sat next to him and smiled, “No problem.” Dryden kissed him on the cheek. Watching as Dryden lay down next to him, he grabbed a blanket and unfolded it. He laid down next to him, pulling the blanket up over the both of them. Dryden twisted his whole body till he was pushed up against him.
“Luka.” He heard a sound and looked up at him; golden brown eyes were staring down at him. Fingering the green stone around his neck, he asked. “Can you take it off, just for the night?”
“Okay.” Luka pulled it off and placed it on the ground on the other side of Dryden. The smaller teen leaned up and kissed Luka’s neck, “Dryden what are you doing?” Hell he didn’t know he just wanted to so he did. He started licking at the mark on Luka’s neck, and then he bit down. Luka groaned and tipped his head to the side, his hand gripped Dryden’s shirt. It was still damp, but he could feel the heat coming off of Dryden. He slid his hand up Dryden’s shirt pushing it up as he caressed his skin and causing Dryden to purr against his throat. Flipping him on his back Luka pulled back and looked down at him.
“Luka.” Luka leaned forward. He could feel the puff of air on his face. Luka kissed him, it was a deep kiss one that had the smaller body melting under him. “We should… stop.” he gasped out as soon as Luka pulled away. Luka was nipping at his jaw and working over to his neck.
“Do you want to stop?” he murmured. Dryden shivered as Luka’s hand ghosted over his skin.
“What if…” his shirt was pulled off, “someone comes in?” Luka chuckled and nipped at his neck. Then he started to tease Dryden’s ears, “Nnn…”
“Then let them. Feel good?” The small teen shivered and took a deep breath, “Want to stop?” Dryden gave a soft moan and turned his head to the side. Luka pulled back and Dryden turned his head to look at him. They both smiled and Luka laid his forehead against Dryden’s. He could feel the silver band wrapped around his forehead, Luka lifted his head up and kissed his temple. “Any time you want to stop just say so.” A shiver racked Dryden’s body as he felt Luka’s breath caressed his skin.
Dryden let his arms fall from Luka’s shoulders. Luka nipped at his neck, his tongue moved over the spot and then he bit down. Pulling his neck away he gave him a look, “Ya bit me.”
He gave a sheepish look, “Sorry.” Luka lightly caressed his fingers over Dryden’s hip as he leaned to one side of him. Luka kissed at his exposed collar bone and locking eyes with Dryden’s, he smirked. The small teen cried out and arched his back; Luka had latched onto one nipple as his free hand teased the other. Luka shucked off the blanket as Dryden’s hand reached up and tangled in his hair. Dryden was panting as Luka switched to the other nipple.
“Luka…” Dryden had sat up when Luka went to pull his shorts down. Luka smiled and kissed him, pushing him on to his back. The small teen moaned as Luka rubbed his tongue over his. Without his knowing Luka pulled his shorts off and ran his hand over his bare leg.
‘Huh?’ he pulled away and looked down, Dryden wore only shorts with nothing underneath. His molten gold eyes stared at Dryden, he looked away to hide his blush. His heart felt like it was going to come out of his chest.
The small teen sat up, “OH shit!” and tangled his hands in Luka’s flame red hair. Luka moved his mouth along Dryden’s length, causing the small teen to jerk his hips up. “Haah… ahh!” Luka held them still as he pulled away and glanced up at Dryden. “Please… it’s hot…” His amethyst eyes were a dark purple and half lidded. Luka gripped him and started to move his hand along his cock, ‘Why is it so hot?’
Luka slipped two fingers in his mouth and sucked on them till they were wet. “Lay down.” Dryden laid back and gasped as Luka went back to sucking on him.
“Ah… Luka!” he covered his mouth when he shouted. His hand muffled the cries as the other tugged at Luka’s hair. It was getting to hot he couldn’t take it anymore, and them the mouth was gone. He lay there panting, Luka pulled his hand from his hair and he sat up kissing his hand. Dryden stiffened went he felt something rub at his entrance, Luka was once again stroking him as he pushed his finger in. “Nnn…”
Soon he was pulling and pushing trying to stretch him. “You need to relax.”
Dryden pulled his arms up to cover his face, “It feels… weird… so hot…” his whole body was quivering as Luka kept moving that finger deeper.
“That’s good.” His hand moved faster and Dryden gasped out.
“Please… it’s too hot…” Luka slipped a second finger in and crooked his fingers, “Luka… please…”
“Does this feel good?” Dryden’s whole body jolted up off the ground as Luka’s finger brushed over a certain spot.
“Ye…ah!” Luke rubbed over it as he stretched him causing Dryden to writhe and moan. “Oh fuck…” Dryden covered his mouth to muffle his cries, “nnn…” Luka slipped a third finger in and kept moving over that spot. Tossing his head from side to side, he jerked up into Luka’s hand. He was so close, moving his hands from his mouth. “So… hot” he clawed at the bedroll and then tossing his head back he cried out, as he came all over his stomach and Luka’s hand. Dryden glanced at Luka only he wasn’t able to keep his eyes from Luka’s molten gold eyes. Watching as Luka looked at his hand, the older teen licked up the side of it.
Luka quickly pulled his shorts off and grabbed the vile of oil next to him. He started panting as he covered himself with the oil. Dryden groaned as he watched. Gently moving his legs he pushed them open wider, he sat there looking at him, “You sure about this?” He nodded and watched as Luka gave him a few quick strokes. “Relax.” Luka gently pushed at his entrance, Dryden stiffened and winced as Luka pushed past the first ring of muscle. “Breathe.”
“I’m trying.” He could feel his eyes water from the pain, a small whimper escaped past his lips.
“Dryden…”
“I’m fine, just hurts a lil’ that’s all.” Luke nodded and caressed his leg, he pushed till he was fully in. It felt weird but full. Both teens stayed like that panting. Dryden reached up; Luka smiled and leaned over to kiss him. It was soft and then it grew heated, pulling back Luka quickly kissed him on the cheek.
“It gets better I promise.”
“I know.” He nodded, “I’m ready.” He cried out as Luka pulled out and trusted back in. Luka groaned as he started to move. “Ah…”
“Dryden.” Dryden reached up and wrapped his arms around his neck pulling Luka closer. This caused him to shift a little and when he pushed back in. He bumped against a bundle of nerves that caused Dryden to jerk his hips up, as he let his head fall back exposing his neck.
“Oh fuck! Luka…” Luka lightly kissed over the scar, “more… please more!” Dryden dug his nails in to Luka’s back as he moved faster. Hissing in pain he nipped at the small body’s neck. He could feel it building, it was getting hotter. “Faster…”
Luka groaned as he moved faster, he glanced at Dryden’s face. He was flushed in his face; blue hair clung to his face, as he stared up at Luka with hooded dark purple eyes. He moved to met each of Luka’s trusts, Luka moaned when Dryden started to grip him tightly. Dryden was writhing under him, panting and begging for more.
“Luka!” His whole body was on fire now, “Ah… fuck so… so good!” Luka claimed his lip, swallowing every moan. He pushed his tongue past Dryden’s lips. Dryden curled his tongue around Luka’s and moaned when he somehow ended up with him sucking on his tongue. Luka pulled back and nipped at his bottom lip. “Luka please I can’t… so hot…” Reaching between them he gripped Dryden’s weeping cock in his hand and started jerking him off in time with him trusting. “Ah!” Dryden tossed his head back, eyes wide. It was too much he couldn’t take it, he felt his toes curl. Luka felt Dryden’s whole body shudder, he cried out Luka’s name as he came all over both of them.
Luka shouted as Dryden’s muscles clamped down on him. Dryden shivered and moaned as he felt Luka release inside of him. They both laid there pant, pulling out he dropped onto the bedroll next to Dryden. “Dryden, you okay?” It was quiet; he turned his head to see Dryden panting. “Hey, are you okay?” Dryden cracked one eye and smiled weakly.
“Just tired.” Luka smiled and gently pulled him closer, he heard Dryden whisper, “Love ya.” Dryden quickly fell to sleep with Luka running his fingers through his sweat matted hair. Grabbing the blanket he pulled it up and over the both of them. He closed his eyes and rested his head on his arm.
“Love you, too”
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Dryden slowly woke up; he blinked a couple of times and looked around. It was brighter now. That’s right he was with Luka last night and we…… Holy shit they had sex! Sitting up he winced and groaned, ‘Ouches, that part of me is really sore.’ He looked around for Luka, after that he had to tell him know. Just in case something happened. ‘How do ya tell someone that?’
“Hey you’re up!” Dryden looked over to see a grinning Luka; his head was resting on his arms as he leaned on the bank. “Your clothes are next to you.” Looking over he found his bag on the ground next to him. He grabbed his shorts and pulled them on, then pulling out a gray long sleeve he pulled that on.
Grabbing his vest he stood up and walked over to him, “Luka did we… last night?”
“Yeah, don’t tell me you’re having second thoughts.”
“No I’m not; I just want to tell you something. I think we should wait till we get to the village to do anymore.”
Luka climbed out and stood in front of him, “Why?” Dryden blushed and looked away.
“I’m a…” he bit down on his thumbnail and looked at the ground. Luka grabbed his hand and lifted his head up.
“What is it?”
“I’m a Carrier.”
“Okay… what’s that?” Luka let go of his hand and walked over to his pants, he pulled them on over his black shorts. By the time he had his shirts on his skin was back to normal.
“Yer an idiot.” He took a deep breath and let it out.
“So I’ve been told,” he turned around, “you going to tell me what a Carrier is.”
“I can have kids.”
Luka blinked and then everything registered in his head, “Kids?”
“Yes.” He watched as Luka crumpled to the ground out cold. “Luka!” he rushed over and looked at him, “Luka.” He checked his pulse and made sure he was breathing, “wake up Luka.” Standing up, he pulled his vest one and ran out of the cavern. ‘I need to get help.’
When Luka open his eyes he was met with a sharp pain in the back of his head. “Ow…”
“About time you woke up.” He turned to see Aiden looking at him. “Dryden thinks you might not like him anymore.”
“What?” He had sat up only to stop and grab his head, “I can’t hate him.”
“So what did he tell you?”
“That’s what I would like to know.” Luka turned to see Zachariah looking at him, a cigarette hung from his mouth. The look on his face had Luka fearing for his life a little.
“He told me he could have kids.” Zachariah sighed and shook his head, “I don’t hate him. I was just shocked after meeting Dryden I gave up on that idea.” He scratched his head. “I don’t get it; I thought only shifter and demon males could have kids.”
Zachariah sighed and shook his head, “Only a certain amount of males can have kids. We have females there’s just more males than females.”
“Okay but how is it that…”
“If I were to group ten Dragconians together seven would be male and two female. Three of those males will be able to give birth to kids. We don’t know why, just that it’s to make up for the lack of females.”
Aiden nodded, “Now I see, so what about Dryden?”
“Oh he can have kids, he just been denying it up till now.”
“Why?” Both teens asked.
“Because it’s the one thing father hated about me.” Dryden was standing behind Zachariah, who had jumped at the sound of Dryden’s voice.
“What the hell? You scared the shit out of me.” He caught sight of Dryden’s thumb and he grabbed his hand, “What have I told you about biting, the last thing we need you doing is taking your nail off like last time.”
He snatched his hand back, “I can’t help it, like you can’t help smoking.” Turning around he folded his arms.
“Well I got to get things ready,” Aiden said as he stood and grabbed Luka’s and Dryden’s bags. “We leave in a few minutes, Zachariah I need your help with the map.”
“Sure sure.” He stood and followed. Soon it was just Luka and Dryden again.
“Dryden.” His body stiffened, Luka was standing behind him now. He sighed and wrapped his arm around the small teen’s shoulders. Burying his face in the short part of his hair he whispered, “You are you now matter what.” He felt something wet fall on his arm, “Dryden?”
Dryden reached up and rubbed at his face, “I’ve got something in my eye.” Luka smiled and nuzzled his neck, kissing the scar that was from the metal collar from long ago.
“I still love you.” Dryden took a ragged breath and squeezed Luka’s arm. They stood there as Dryden let his tears fall. He still wasn’t use to crying, “Come on let’s go, the others are waiting.”
^^^^^^^^^^^^
It’s been three days since then and now they were outside the forest. Dryden walked up and stood on the edge. He turned to them, “I’m going ahead.”
“Mother should be waiting at the grounds.”
“I know.” Zachariah walked up and placed something in his hand.
“Call Demi you should get there fast.” He looked at the others; they had camouflaged the sand rail and made it look like it was part of the trees. Hanging the dog whistle around his neck he smiled, “You can do this. I know you can, remember focus.”
He nodded and felt Luka pick him up from the ground, “Come back ok.”
“I’ll find ya.”
“Good.” He kissed Dryden and placed him on the ground, Ari and Aiden stood off to the side with Zachariah.
“You can do it Dryden, leave the village to us.” Ari said happily, “Just make sure you do your part.”
“I will.”
Aiden rubbed the back of his head, pushing his hat forward some. He took it off and ran a hand through his light brown hair. “You better come back or Luka will start crying like a baby again.”
Luka snatched his hat off and put the older teen in a head lock, “What was it you just said?”
“Give back my hat.” Dryden sighed and put the whistle to his lips. He gave a soft blow and then taking a deep breath he blew into the whistle. Ari clamped her hands over her ears and glared at Dryden.
“Sorry Ari.”
There was howl and smiling Dryden turned to disappear into the trees. Zachariah counted as a high pitch whistle echoed out of the woods. “Let’s go.”
Oh fuck… that was one of the hardest chapters I’ve ever written. I think that scene between Dryden and Luka wasn’t that good but it just mean I have to get better, right? Well let’s just hope I can finish part one of this book before I move. The next few days I will be packing so I might be late on this next chapter. Tell me what ya think I want the brutal truth. Oh and my story Jewel of Pure Light will be up some time soon so keep an eye out for that.
