Chapter 8
Chapter 8
Pan tapped his pen rapidly against the top of the dining room table, eyes constantly glancing between the clock on the wall and the balcony. It was already Friday afternoon, and to say he wasn\'t looking forward to his \'study session\' with Xane would be a drastic understatement. Though it wasn\'t the demon he was dreading meeting up with as much as where they were going. Tuesday\'s events were still painfully fresh in his mind and let\'s just say that two overly eventful visits to D-District had thoroughly squelched any desires for future visits. Glancing back at the clock once again, Pan frowned; he didn\'t even know when Xane was supposed to be coming. The demon didn\'t give Kyle a specific time, and all of Pan\'s calls had unanswered and unreturned. Maybe if he tried again…
"Pan, if you tap the pen one more time I swear I\'m going to shove it and 50 others up your ass so far you\'ll be able to taste the ink." Kyle said warningly from where he was reading on the couch. Grimacing at crude threat, Pan quickly set the pen aside, "Was it really that annoying?"
Kyle flicked his gaze over at him before looking back to his book, "Since you\'ve been sitting there for the past 20 minutes doing it; yes, it was. Now quiet, I\'m getting to a good part."
Pan rolled his eyes before pulling his laptop close to him, knowing that with Kyle and his books he was always getting to or at a \'good part\'. Opening up a web browser Pan started skimming through sites, desperate for something to keep his mind distracted but nothing worked, soon he was once again glancing between the clock and the balcony, only this time he was drumming his fingers instead of tapping a pen.
"Alright, that\'s it." Kyle muttered, snapping his book closed and getting up from the couch. He turned and looked like he was about to seriously injure Pan when there was a knock on their door. Their balcony door, Pan soon realized, seeing Xane grinning at him from the other side of the glass, waving happily. Kyle sent Pan an odd look as the brunette walked over to open the balcony door.
"Heya, kid."
"Hi… What are you so happy about?" Pan asked suspiciously, but Xane just shrugged.
"No reason. Here." Xane pushed a large bag into Pan\'s hand and then quickly ducking down and stealing a brief kiss. So brief, in fact, that Pan wasn\'t even sure what exactly had happened until Xane had already passed by him to set the other bag he was carrying around on the dining room table. "H-hey!"
"What?" Xane asked as he turned to look back at Pan.
"You can\'t just do that!"
Xane frowned, looking confused, "Do what?"
"You can\'t just kiss me!"
Xane and Kyle looked at each other before looking back at Pan, "I didn\'t."
Pan glared, "Yes, you did!"
"No… I didn\'t. Are you imagining things, Pan?"
"I…" Pan looked back and forth between Xane and Kyle, noticing the curious looks they were both giving him and frowned, "I didn\'t imagine it."
"Pan, I was standing right here, and trust me, the only thing he did was handed you that bag." Kyle said seriously and Pan\'s frown deepened. Scrutinizing both of their faces to try to see if either male was lying and finding no signs of it, Pan scratched the back of his neck, now truly confused. He was about to say something else when suddenly Kyle burst into laughing, carrying on for several moments before giving Xane an apologetic look once he calmed down, "Sorry, I just could keep it up any longer."
Xane just shrugged, "It\'s alright, you were pretty good though, I think we had him pretty convinced for a little while."
Blinking in confusion, Pan looked back and forth between his roommate and his tormentor until it finally clicked, "You… guys are complete assholes."
"Yeah, we know." Xane flashed him a grin and Pan\'s eyes narrowed before he walked out of the room and down the hallway to his room, a sour look on his face as he did. Xane and Kyle watched him leave; flinching when his door slammed shut and then glanced at each other.
"Well, that went well."
Xane frowned, "He seemed a bit more… tense, than usual."
"Yeah, he\'s been freaking out a bit lately." Kyle said with a frown of his own before shrugging, "Well, I did my part in making sure he wasn\'t going to bolt, it\'s your turn now."
Picking up a light jacket, Kyle moved to leave, throwing a \'See ya\' over his shoulder as did so, and shutting the door behind him, leaving Xane alone in the dining room, still frowning. Sending a glance to the hallway that Pan disappeared down, he debated about facing the brunette\'s temper now or waiting for him to come out on his own. Though he didn\'t have long to debate, because he could hear a door open and shuffling footsteps before Pan appeared in the doorway, looking sheepish.
"Oh, decided to join me?" Xane asked with an arched brow, opening one of the two bags he had brought with him and unpacking multiple large books. "Surprising considering how you stormed out."
Pan grimaced and rubbed the back of his neck, "Yeah… I realized that was a little…"
"Childish?" Xane finished helpfully, earning him a glare. "Well, since that\'s all done with, why don\'t we get on to main event." He held up one of the large books, "Studying."
"Aren\'t we going to the library?"
"Don\'t need to, the library came to us. Well, to you. I guess."
Frowning in confusion, Pan looked at the books littering the table before his eyes widened in realization, "Please don\'t tell me those are from the library."
Xane glanced at the books in question before looking back at Pan, "Where else would they be from?"
"Xane! What the hell?!" Pan suddenly shouted, "Didn\'t you just tell me Tuesday that the books are not allowed to leave the library, that those in charge get rather pissed when they do? And I don\'t know about you, but I\'d rather not have a bunch of demons pissed at me because you decided to take out a couple books. Fuck!" Pan slumped down into one of the dining room chairs, letting his head fall back so he was looking at the wall upside down, sighing rather loudly as he did so.
"You done?" Xane asked after a few seconds of silence, and Pan lifted his head just enough to glare at him before letting it drop back again. "Look, you don\'t have to worry about getting in trouble because you didn\'t take the books, I did."
"I don\'t see how that matters since they\'re in my apartment." Pan mumbled to the wall, not seeing the slightly annoyed look on Xane\'s face, though the sound of the other\'s chair scraping the floor as it moved had Pan raising his head to see what the demon was up to. But Xane wasn\'t in his chair; instead he surprised Pan by suddenly dropping into the seat beside him, grabbing the back of Pan\'s chair as he did so and pulling Pan close enough that they were mere inches apart. When Pan pulled back, trying to put some distance between them Xane just switched his grip from Pan\'s chair to across his shoulders, using his free hand to lightly grip Pan\'s jaw to stop him from turning away. Pan narrowed his eyes in anger and was about to argue with the demon again when Xane cut him off, "Be quiet and listen."
The serious tone in Xane\'s voice startled Pan, and he dutifully shut his mouth, though he didn\'t stop trying to lean away from the demon, not liking only having a few inches of space between Xane\'s face and his, but Xane just increased the pressure on his shoulder until Pan stopped moving completely. Once he finally did Xane arched an eyebrow, "Finished?"
Pan nodded, or tried to, and Xane let up on the pressure a bit, not enough to let Pan go, but enough so that it was no longer unpleasant. "Good. Now, have I ever, in any way, shown that I wish to endanger your health or well being?" Xane asked, still in that same tone, and Pan quickly shook his head \'no\', "So why are you so sure that I would do something that could be potentially harmful to you?"
"But last time…" Pan started but was stopped when Xane moved the hand on his chin up to cover his mouth, "Last time I underestimated the curiosity of a stupid, young demon, which is exactly the reason why I brought your books here instead. So will you please trust me enough that when I say that in no way will you be in trouble for me bringing these books to your apartment."
Xane slowly removed his hand from over Pan\'s mouth, and he swallowed nervously before nodding slightly, "Y-yeah, sure. Just… could you back up a bit?"
There was a pause as Xane glanced down, eyebrows raised as if he had just realized how close they were, before looking back up at Pan, now with his familiar smirk firmly in place. "Why? I like sitting like this. Although…" Xane slid closer, and Pan could feel the demon\'s breath against his face, as they were now only centimeters apart, even with Pan leaning as far back as he neck would allow, "I like this much better."
"Xane…" Pan said warningly, but the demon didn\'t back off, instead he moved even closer, and Pan quickly turned his head to the side, pushing against Xane\'s chest in hopes the demon would get the hint. Though that didn\'t seem likely when he felt the warmth from Xane\'s breath brush over the now exposed area of his neck. "Xane, stop…"
"You don\'t sound too sure of yourself there, Pan." Xane mumbled and Pan could feel they demon\'s lips brush against his neck, causing him to shiver. A shiver that was not from pleasure, Pan sternly told himself, and he pushed harder against the other\'s chest. And surprisingly, Xane complied, it was only a few inches and he was chuckling as he did it, but he did back off a bit, and Pan released the breath he didn\'t know he had been holding. "Hey, I have an idea. How about we make a deal?"
Pan turned his head back to look at Xane, who was still only a few inches away with an amused glint to his eye that worried Pan. Hell, everything Xane had done since he showed up had worried the brunette, but the look he was currently getting had him even more on edge than usual. Well, that and the fact that Xane still hadn\'t moved away!
"A deal?"
Xane grinned, "Yep."
Frowning suspiciously, Pan asked, "What kind of a deal?"
"Oh, one that I think you\'ll really like."
"Will you stop dancing around it and just tell me?!"
"Ooh, so pushy." Xane said with a grin, and when Pan started to say something else he threw up his hands in defeat, "Alright, alright, I\'ll tell you. Hold your horses, jeez."
Pan just glared at him; though he was glad that Xane had finally let go of him, and was now back to fully sitting in his own chair. "So…?"
"Sooo… fifteen." Xane said as crossed his arms over his chest.
"Fifteen, what the hell does that mean?"
"It means that fifteen study sessions. That is how long our \'deal\' will last." Xane responded, once again grinning."
"Okay, and what exactly is this \'deal\'?"
"That during the before listed amount of time, I will not, in anyway, do anything of the sexual nature to you." Xane finally finished, still with that damn grin.
"Wait… what?"
Xane frowned, "I said that I won\'t-"
Pan shook his head, "No, I got that, but why? You just got done doing… what ever you were just doing, and now you want to make a deal were you can\'t touch me. How the heck did you come up with this idea?"
"Well, if you\'d rather I continued…" Xane started leaning forward again, and Pan quickly brought up his hands to push against Xane\'s chest, "I didn\'t say that."
Xane reclined back into his seat, shrugging as he did so, "Well, you can\'t blame a guy for trying."
"Actually, yeah I can, but right now I\'m more concerned with this deal, so could please explain it a bit more fully than have so far? Because right now I\'m pretty confused."
"Okay, let\'s see… As I said, for fifteen of our study dates I will not do anything of a sexual nature to you, and if I fail to keep my side, then that\'s it, I\'ll help you finish your paper but you\'ll never have worry about me messing with you ever again. No stalking or molesting, completely hands off."
"And if you don\'t break the deal?"
Xane grinned and leaned a closer, "Then you owe me… a kiss."
Pan blinked, silent for a few seconds before finally asking, "That\'s it? A kiss? "
"Yep, that\'s all. Unless you\'d like it to be more?" Xane asked with a mischievous look, and Pan quickly shook his head. "No, that\'s alright."
With a loud sigh, Xane slumped back into his seat, finally far enough of a distance away that Pan was able to relax a bit, though a smirk still played across the demons lips, "So, we have a deal then?"
"If I\'m going to agree to this, then it doesn\'t just pertain to the study sessions, you\'re hands off at all times. Got that?"
"Alright, alright. Spoiled sport." Xane grumbled, crossing his arms over his chest as he did so. But the sour look only remained there for a couple seconds before he was smirking once again, "Well, is it a deal or not?"
Pan frowned, debating on taking the demon up on his offer, and it was hard to find a reason why not to which was the exact reason why Pan was so suspicious. He couldn\'t see Xane being one to offer something like this unless it was going to help him in some way, but one kiss didn\'t seem like that big of a deal, not when they had done much more than that within the first 10 minutes of the first time they \'met\', and since then he hadn\'t exactly been chaste with his actions. So what the hell was with him just wanting a kiss? It didn\'t make a lick of sense and was just made him nervous and increasingly suspicious that the demon had other goals.
Speaking of Xane, Pan jumped when suddenly the demon was in his personal space again, his face only inches from Pan\'s with his usual lecherous smirk. "You know, if you\'re so uncertain then perhaps you\'d rather continue? I know I certainly wouldn\'t mind."
Jerking back Pan quickly put his hand between them, holding it out as if to shake hands, "Okay, deal!"
Xane grinned and pulled back, sliding his hand into Pan\'s and giving it a quick shake, "Good to hear."
"Still don\'t know why you\'re so determined." Pan mumbled, but Xane just shrugged, before suddenly getting up and walking around the table.
"Well, now that we\'ve got that out of the way, why don\'t we get on to the study session?" Xane asked as he started pulling out several large volumes out of one of the bags. "Oh, and here. I gave this to you for a reason."
Pan blinked at the bag Xane was now holding out to him, hesitating slightly before taking it and looking inside. "Is this… food?"
"Yep, figured you\'d like some food that\'s not dehydrated or processed." Xane smirked and Pan frowned as he started pulling out several boxes, all rather warm and smelled of… Chinese? "You know I can\'t eat all this, right? And Chinese? I\'ve only had it a few times and the few times I did it was pretty disgusting. No offense if you like the stuff, but…."
But Xane just shook his head, "None taken. Chinese is one of those that didn\'t make the trip of to processed food to well. But trust me, this stuff is good."
"And the reason why there\'s shit loads?" Pan looked down at the array of containers he had pulled out of the bag, and he was right, there was enough here to feed a small army.
Grabbing one of the forks that had come with the food and a couple containers Xane sat down across from Pan, "Well I\'d like to have supper too if you don\'t mind."
"Oh… right." Pan frowned, feeling silly.
"Here, try some." Xane nudged a box towards Pan, "Just don\'t take any with a black top."
Pan hesitated as he reached for a fork of his own, "Why?"
"They\'re spicy." Xane responded, and when Pan raised an eyebrow at him he continued, "They\'re extremely spicy, like burn your mouth off spicy. And unless you want a visit to the emergency room, don\'t try anything from those boxes."
Still looking suspiciously at the demon, Pan pulled the closest unmarked box to him and opened it, breathing in the smells of fresh cooked noodles, steamed vegetables, and… chicken? Whatever it was it smelled wonderful, though that wasn\'t too good of a signal for how it would taste, it seemed more often than not the smell was better than the actual flavor. Hell, even the Chinese he and Kyle had before smelled wonderful, but that didn\'t stop them from fighting not to throw it back up into the toilet afterwards. So bracing himself, Pan speared a piece of seasoned chicken on his fork and slowly raised it to his mouth, grimacing slightly before finally shoving the food inside. He heard Xane chuckling from across the table as he started to slowly chew, expecting any moment for the food to suddenly start tasting horrible, but it never did, instead it tasted… wonderful. Though he made sure not to show it on his face, he didn\'t want to give Xane the satisfaction of being correct, first with that damned omelet and now this. It just wasn\'t fair that the demon could eat like this everyday, and it felt more like he was rubbing it in than anything else.
Frowning now at the food, Pan noticed Xane shifting out of the corner of his before looking up to see the demon giving him an odd look, "Is something wrong? You\'re looking at that food like it just insulted you."
"It\'s not the food." Pan muttered, sifting the food around with his fork.
"Oookay." Xane placed both hands on the table and pushed himself up from his seat before making his away around the table. Pan watched him warily but still couldn\'t help the sound of alarm when Xane grabbed the side of his chair and turned it to so Pan was facing him. "So, what the hell has got your panties in a twist?"
Fighting the instinct to recoil, Pan instead glared at the demon who was currently invading is personal space, "Excuse me?"
Xane arched an eyebrow, before said very pointedly, "You, being pissy. It\'s gonna end. Now."
"You. Fucking off. Would be nice." Pan retorted in the same tone of voice that Xane used, and now the demon glared at him. Sighing, he reached behind him to grab the chair he had been sitting in before and pulled it close so he was once again sitting inches from the human. "Alright, could you please tell me why you hate me so much?"
"Why do I hate you?" Pan fumed, "You molested me within minutes of meeting me, you followed me around for days, and now you\'re-"
"I\'m what? Helping insure that you have an outstanding and unique report for you to turn in? Oh Gods, the horror." You could hear the sarcasm dripping from the Xane\'s words and Pan narrowed his eyes even further in anger. When he opened his mouth to retort Xane just cut him off, "No, you\'re going to listen and, for once, I want you to try to get around you stubborn attitude. I know it\'s a lot to ask, but just try."
Pan frowned but didn\'t say anything, but that obviously wasn\'t good enough for Xane, because he flicked the side of Pan\'s head. "Still waiting on an answer."
"Alright! I\'m listening!"
"Good. Now I need you to understand that while I\'m not purposely picking on you, nor are you exactly innocent in all this as well." Xane poked Pan in the chest as he said this and the brunette glared.
"The only reason why we\'re even talking is bec-" Pan began, but Xane was quick to cover his mouth with a hand, effectively silencing the brunette while he explained, "Is because you decided to take a stroll through D-District in the middle of the night. And the only reason why you\'re sitting here is because I decided to scoop you up before the big, mean, and nasty that was interested in you did. Or did you not notice the creepy eyes and the growl down the alleyway when we left?"
Finally removing the hand, Xane waited for a response, which was only a quick nod along with that signature glare that seemed to never truly leave the brunette\'s face, at least not from what Xane could tell. "So, instead of cursing me on a daily basis like you do now, wouldn\'t it be better if you, oh… I don\'t know, actually thanked me for helping you out?"
"We both know that the only reason why you helped me was because you were having fun molesting me." Pan snarled out, and Xane sighed again. "I would\'ve helped you either way. I\'m not one to just watch as a somebody gets torn to pieces because they were too ignorant to follow their friend\'s advice."
"But you still tried to have sex with me! You can\'t explain that one away, can you?"
"That\'s right, because there\'s nothing worse in the world than a blow job and some fingering!" Xane announced and Pan\'s face flushed in both anger and embarrassment, "And you can\'t deny that you didn\'t like it, people don\'t orgasm if they\'re not enjoying themselves in some way. And I\'d do it again if in any way I thought it would help in extracting the stick permanently wedged in your ass."
Pan looked indignant at what Xane said, but didn\'t respond, instead he turned to stared at a spot on the wall, trying to reign in his anger at the demon, and at the same time attempting, and failing, to ignore the little voice in the back of his mind telling him the other male was right. When he heard Xane sigh once again beside him, Pan didn\'t look at him, though he was a bit surprised at the resigned tone in the demon\'s voice when he started speaking again, "Alright, since you have made it obviously clear that you\'re not going to let that incident go, and I\'m too fed up with it all to argue about it anymore, why don\'t we just agree that after I help you get all information you need for this report, that\'s it. I\'ll disappear and you\'ll never see me again, would that satisfy you?"
Pan just nodded, frowning at the fact that instead of feeling elated at the prospect of no more Xane, he was feeling… disappointed? This was exactly what he wanted, right? Xane to leave him alone, to leave and never bother him again, so why was his stomach doing a weird churning thing that was leaving him feeling nauseous? Turning away so Xane couldn\'t see the odd look that he surely had on his face, Pan cursed at himself. What the hell was wrong with him? He should be happy dammit!
"So, it\'s settled then. I\'ll help you finish your report then that\'s it." Xane stood up and fished something out of the backpack that Pan had earlier assumed contained the library books, making Pan jump when he slapped down a thick stack of papers beside him.
"What\'s this?" Pan asked the other as Xane walked around the table to his old chair.
"What does it look like?" Xane asked in a tone that made Pan flinch a bit, something that the demon must have noticed because he sighed before saying in a softer voice, "They\'re the notes I\'ve taken over the past few days. And as soon as I get done translating these books I\'ll be out of your hair for the night. That alright with you?"
"Yeah, that\'s fine." Pan muttered, picking up the stack of notes to look through them. Out of the corner of his eye he saw Xane take a few books out of the same bag as well as a note pad, sending a glance Pan\'s way as he did, forcing the brunette\'s attention once again back to the notes in his hand. Sparing one last look at the demon, Pan turned his focus once more on the notes, instantly feeling even worse once he did. The notes were, simply put, outstanding, even just glancing at the first few pages he could see they were well made. Each topic and demon species covered was well organized and had enough information that there was no way he would get sited by his professor for not having enough research on his topic. Gut sinking, Pan continued through the notes, now truly feeling like an ass. Here Xane had gone through all this work, and Pan\'s way of repaying him was being pissy and mean. The demon\'s new attitude was fully justified, and Pan felt completely embarrassed as he realized it. Sitting there with his gut churning unpleasantly, Pan frowned when the smell of the open box of Chinese food made it\'s self known once again. He pushed the food away, no longer hungry with the half a dozen blenders going to town in his stomach, though Xane must of noticed because he gave a derisive snort before asking, "I take it the food\'s not to your liking?"
"No, I\'m just not hungry is all. Sorry." Pan replied, sparing Xane a glance once again. The demon frowned and looked like he was about to say something else, but instead he shrugged and went back to work. The rest of the session was passed in uncomfortable silence, though luckily not long. It only took Xane a few minutes to finish translating the few books he had brought, setting a new stack of papers with the notes beside Pan before packing up his things and heading toward the balcony door. Pan watched him go, finally swallowing his pride just as Xane reached the glass door, "Xane?"
The demon turned around, Pan swallowed nervously before speaking up again, "Sorry about being such an ass."
Xane arched an eyebrow at that, but didn\'t say anything in response, so Pan plowed on, "I know you\'ve been just trying to help and I\'ve been a bastard to you… And I\'m sorry." He finished with a sigh, looking away as he ran a hand through his hair nervously.
"Well it\'s about damned time." Pan blinked and looked back up at Xane, surprised to see that the demon was grinning at him.
"What…?"
Xane shook his head, "And here I was beginning to think I\'d have to just start permanently being butthead to you to get you out of your little attitude."
"What the hell are you talking about?" Pan asked with a frown, and when Xane flashed him another grin it started to click, "You were doing that on purpose, weren\'t you? Just so that I\'d feel bad and apologize."
Xane shrugged, still with that damn grin on his face, "Yeah, pretty much."
Pan frowned at the demon, "And here I thought I was being an ass."
"Oooh trust me, you were." Xane said, chuckling at the glare Pan sent his way. "Anyways, I do need to get going, so I\'ll meet you Monday? Same time as today?"
"Uh… yeah, I guess." Pan mumbled, running a hand through his hair again, still not entirely too sure what had just happened between them.
"Excellent." Xane said with a smile before turning toward the balcony, "Oh, and by the way, the price of our deal has gone up to two kisses."
Pan blinked, "What?! How?"
Xane just shrugged as he tossed the bag full of books over his shoulder, "Well if I have to deal with your pissy attitude then I should at least get some compensation. You should be glad it\'s not more."
"That wasn\'t part of the deal."
"No, but if you want we can still cancel the deal, that\'ll be fine with me." The way Xane grinned worried the brunette, so Pan quickly shook his head, "No, it\'s still on. But just two kisses, got it? No more, no less. This is it."
Xane held up his free hand in surrender, "Alright, alright. No more changing the rules."
"Good." Pan nodded, watching as Xane once more headed for the balcony, saying over his shoulder as he went, "See ya later, kid."
"Y-yeah, see ya." Pan responded, but Xane was already gone. Crossing the room, Pan grabbed the door and was just about to shut it when Xane was suddenly there, standing maybe inches away, causing Pan to stumble backwards several feet in surprise, "Gods! What the hell was that for?!"
"I just remembered something, you need to start closing your bedroom window."
"W-what? Why?" Pan asked, surprised at the sudden demand.
"Because it\'s not safe, and if you don\'t shut it I will." Xane said seriously before grinning once again, "Later!"
And then he was gone, leaving Pan with a dumbstruck look on his face, though it was quickly fading into anger. How dare he just tell me what to do like that, flipping asshole! He fumed, storming into the dining room to start cleaning up the multiple boxes of food that were left by Xane. He was still seething at the forwardness of the demon when Kyle came home maybe twenty minutes, raising an eyebrow at Pan, who was currently scrubbing the counter top viciously. "So, I take it the study session didn\'t go to well?"
"It went fine." Pan ground out, and Kyle rolled his eyes, "Yeah, right, that\'s why you\'re trying to scrape off the top of the counter with a rag. Come on, Pan, we both know you go into cleaning fits like this when something has pissed you off."
Pan frowned at him and tossed the mangled piece of cloth into the trash, "I said it\'s nothing."
"Fine… Whatever." Kyle said with a shrug before looking around, "Hey, what\'s that smell?"
"Probably the food Xane brought, there\'s a bunch left over in the fridge if you want it." Pan said with a shrug and Kyle\'s eyes lit up.
"Oooh, really?" Kyle made his way over to the fridge and let out a low whistle. "Wow, there is a lot. But Chinese?"
Pan noticed the disapproving sound in Kyle\'s voice and said, "It\'s good. Apparently when it\'s not made with dehydrated food it actually has taste."
Kyle smirked, "Yeah, well, the stuff we had before had taste, just not good taste." But regardless he began looking through the boxes, while Pan started gathering up all the study materials that Xane had brought him and started to organize them so he could put them away.
He was just putting the papers in their correct folder when Kyle walked over to watch him as he forked copious amounts of food into his mouth. "Hm, this stuff gets a bit of heat to it after awhile."
Pan looked up and his eyes widened when he saw the black-lidded box in Kyle\'s hand, "Shit, Kyle, don\'t eat that!"

AN: Haha, poor Kyle.
Real quick shout out to all these great reviewers: Tatiana, Laie, KatFO, Natasha, Aduial, bcsaturdai, irinutza, and Babby! I love hearing from you guys!
And to natasha, thank you SO much for pointing out that inconsistency! I can\'t believe I did that. Anyways, no, it\'s not actually a inconsistency, I\'m just a ditz. There was supposed to be a whole part that explained because Kai is part demon, she\'s used to having the real stuff, so although it\'s more expensive they use fresh ground coffee beans and all natural ingredients. I\'ll be going back to edit that chapter soon, but hopefully this will clear up some confusion for now.
And in other news, I\'m having a contest! Check it out here: http://kaiyo05.deviantart.com/
