Lazy gold eyelashes opened as Alavas slowly woke up. Closing them to keep the intruding sunlight at bay, he tried to understand the strange signals his body was sending him. There was a warm weight across his chest that felt really good and he realized his arms were wrapped around it. All his muscles felt sore but he wasn’t awake enough to care, he felt sated and was not ready to move, not just yet. Something soft tickled his jaw and he lowered his head a bit to nuzzle it with the end of his nose. The weigh on him moved with his small movement and he felt a shy kiss on his neck. Sighting, he slowly opened his eyes and was greeted with golden ones.
“Good morning.” he said, bringing his hand up to cup Tansa’s face and bring their lips together in a chaste morning kiss.
“Your eyes are green again.” Tansa said.
Alavas’ answer was lost to the soft knock on the door. He pushed Tansa gently from over his chest and tried to get up but limply fell back on the mattress. He was just too tired and sore to get up yet. Tansa laughed and hugged him before slowly getting up and dragging his feet to the door. Tansa seemed different and Alavas wondered where the shy creature he had met had gone. He felt a strange stirring in his stomach as Tansa grabbed the first cloth he found, which was Alavas’ long shirt and put it on. He looked really sexy in his clothes. Micha jumped on Tansa’s shoulder and Alavas felt a thrill run through his body as Tansa petted his Nama before opening the door.
Alavas closed his eyes as desire shot through his system again. He was grateful it wasn’t as overwhelming as the day before. That in itself was strange. Normally, it took at least 3 days to get over the heat and there he was after only one night with normal desire again. The noise of the door being closed reached him and he looked at Tansa who was carrying a big leaf with loads of fruits on it. He seemed shy again, almost sad, standing near the door with flushed cheeks, his eyes on the floor and a sad little smile on his lips.
“Come here” he said, and Tansa walked to him and sat on the end of the bed his eyes still not looking at Alavas.
Something was wrong, that much was clear. Alavas carefully brought himself to a sitting position, mindful of his aching muscles and ass; they sure went to it last night he thought. The movement made Tansa look up and nearly protest before their eyes met and he fell silent again.
“Tansa, what’s wrong?”
“Nothing.” Tansa answered lowering his eyes again.
“Don’t lie to me. Never lie to me, because I will never lie to you. What’s wrong?” he tried again. Tansa just looked away and ignored the question and Alavas instinctively knew he would get no answers from him. It was then that he remembered something he had learned on humans a while back. They often regretted the act on the following morning. Was Tansa regretting his decision?
“Tansa… Are you regretting last night?”
“No! But… I… thought you… you’re not in heat anymore, are you?”
“No, I’m not. Why do you ask? If you think I wanted you only because I was in heat, you are strongly mistaken. You are in my bed only because we both wanted it. Micha was the one choosing my life partner because he knows me better than anyone else and he was not the one in heat. If you want another proof…” Alavas took Tansa’s hand and pressed it against his groin. Tansa’s eyes grew huge and he stared disbelievingly at Alavas.
“But… you have all these beautiful elves that want you, why me?”
“Let’s say that the heart has its reasons that the reason does not understand.”
Alavas wrapped his arms around Tansa and brought his back against his chest. Tansa leaned against him as a soft sight escaped him. They stayed like that for some time until hunger decided to kick in and they both decided to feed each other. Alavas was amused by the surprised expression on Tansa’s face as he tasted the fresh fruits. He found himself captivated by a drop of the fruit’s juice as it slid from Tansa’s mouth to his chin. He licked it before it could fall and Tansa shivered against him. They would definitely play with fruits on another time. The bare touch of Tansa’s tongue on his fingers as he gave him the little bits of fruit was arousing him. But he still felt tired and they both needed a hot bath. So instead of ravishing the beauty before him, once they were finished eating, he took his new lover’s hand and led the way to the bathroom.

Tansa let himself relax against Alavas as his back was rubbed gently with soap. He was still surprised that Alavas really wanted him. But he knew his body must be beautiful since his master… hum De…Demodred had said so often enough. He just hoped Alavas wouldn’t tire of his body soon because he found out that if Alavas had been his master he sure wouldn’t have minded. He had actually felt overloaded with pleasure under his skillful hands and mouth. He usually associated sex with hurt but Alavas hadn’t even taken him, choosing instead to give himself to him. Did that mean Alavas actually cared or did it only mean that Alavas preferred to be taken more than take?
Another thing that puzzled him had been Alavas’ ecstatic face when he should had felt pain, a lot of pain. He had been taken without any preparation and Tansa knew very well how much that was supposed to hurt. He would have liked to ask but 10 years of being punished whenever he opened his mouth when he hadn’t been told to made him hesitate. He felt content at the moment to just sit there between Alavas’ legs and relax against the muscular chest of his life partner. He was slowly aroused by the light strokes on his stomach and hips, those long thin fingers feeling wonderful against his sensitive skin. He had never felt anything like that. His mast… no!... Demodred usually just took him or didn’t, he had never spent time like this with anyone and he sure had never felt relaxed with anyone since he had been sold by his family. He was slowly beginning to fall asleep but Alavas kissed him on the back of the neck and motioned for him to stand and get out of the bath. Once out of the tub, Tansa turned around to see a tired Alavas smiling at him. They both dried themselves with warm towels before he was lead back to the bedroom and to their bed where the sheets had been changed. Alavas lied on the bed and he followed suit. He was surprised when the elf did nothing more than hold him loosely and fall asleep. Slowly, feeling comfortable and warm with the hot body against his, he fell asleep too.

The noise of a gunshot ran through the air, and his mind froze. NO! He ran to the kitchen and screamed as he saw his worst nightmare coming true. His lover stood alone in their big kitchen, a hand clutched against his chest as blood trickled from his wound. As if in slow motion, he saw the love of his life fall to his knees. Running to him he took the frail body in his arms and gently unclenched the hand so he could inspect the wound. It had hit a vital organ. His heartbeat was erratic but he controlled himself; now was not the right moment to panic!
A weak hand cupped his cheek and he looked down into the beautiful eyes of the elf that had changed his world. Tansa… A little smile was sent his way and he knew it was too late. No! He couldn’t loose him; he preferred to die with him. He couldn’t…
“Love, don’t… (cough) They (cough) need you.” Tansa said, he was always able to read his mind like an open book.
Tears ran down his cheek and connected with the pale hand he was now pressing against his face. “I can’t live without you. Please don’t ask me to.”
“Honey,… (cough) I’m sorry…I… love you”
Alavas felt a heavy weigh fall in his stomach as the body in his arms went limp and the beautiful eyes closed one last time. Tears poured down his face as he buried it in his lover’s hair and let sorrow take him. He wanted to die, he wanted to be with Tansa again, he couldn’t live without him, he…
He woke up with a start and frail arms wrapped around his torso to keep him from getting away. He slowly looked down and saw the sleeping form of Tansa curled against him. That dream had been strange but at the same time it had seemed so real. He didn’t remember any having met any other Tansa but the one he had dreamed of was certainly not the one sleeping against him at the moment. If he didn’t know better he would have sworn it was a scene he had already lived, he could still feel the sorrow in his heart… But he had never loved any Tansa, he had never really been in love with anyone, not even his previous life partner, so it was strange. He would have to talk to Seleno and ask him what he thought about it. But for now he just lied back and held his lover’s sleeping form close, the sorrow already edging away from that simple action alone.
